Because my family all speak cantonese and i never met either of my grandfathers, Chef Lau feels like a familiar grandfather to me that loves to make sure we eat and know how to cook delicious things! ❤
Just discovered this channel and a person who's obsessed with real authentic Chinese food, I'm sooo thrilled. I love your family, it's like you're all my friends! I also really appreciate your explanations of the history behind the food and the style of cooking. The idea of this channel, to preserve the tradition, the stories and legacy for your children is actually amazing! 加油
Looks easy but it takes some skills and experience to cook instant noodles to perfection. Your dad and the channel's been an inspiration for me definitely. Cantonese speaking hainanese guy all the way from KL here .. keep it up guys.
Thank you Daddy Lau for another wonderful recipe! I’m also very excited to try these surprisingly healthy noodles. I appreciate being introduced to this new company with awesome core values.
This looks delicious. Noodles look really good. I ordered the introduction set and subscription auto delivery. I love daddy lau’s recipes and hope he will continue. Nothing too complicated or difficult. And it’s all good. Thank you.
It's very, actually rare Chinese people Share their secrets in cooking their food. Lau is a very special person and very loving and very generous person.. That's very rare for Chinese sharing it. GOD bless
Great video! I actually make Chow Mein with Top Ramen noodles from Costco, so it's good to see Chef Lau do the same with Vite Ramen! Like Chef Lau said, the key is to cook the noodles just enough so they separate from each other, then rinse with cold water and add a little Sesame Oil to keep the noodles from sticking together, then let sit to drain a little before frying!
Chow Mein, Chow mein fun,. these are my go to dishes. Thank you for this channel. I love to watch Chef Lau cook, he is a master of the craft. I really enjoy the family aspect of the episodes. It means a lot to keep tradition alive and well.
Oh wow. I wonder if we can get Vite ramen up here in Canada. Honestly, I've been waiting for the perfect recipe to try my own hand at chow mein, and your fantastic video is definitely the one. The whole method of monitoring the heat on the noodles is excellent. I must try this! Thank you so much for this.
Just found your channel- it’s amazing! Your family is beautiful and your dad is a wonderful chef and human. My husband is Cantonese and I am Taiwanese but ABCs and raising ABC kids. Thank you for your wonderful channel- I’m learning so much and cannot wait to keep the traditions alive within our family.
That chow mien looks really delcious, thanks for sharing the recipe. But who else is in here and is entertained by the kiddo enjoying all those yummy food 😋
Love Chef Lau’s cooking demo. I cooked some of his recipes n my family loves it. Cheers to Chef Lau 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏n Family to share his recipes. Keep sharing ur great cooking skill with us n God bless u n ur family with good health n happiness always.
I'm glad I came across your channel. I'm asian but not chinese. I recently moved out of my parents house to start living alone. Although I can cook my country's dishes, I wanna explore foreign cuisine particularly asian cuisine, and most of the foods in your cahnnel, I can easily access the ingredients at our local market. Also, chinese restaurants are not common here even at the malls, so easiest way to a chinese cuisine is to make it at home.
Cantonese Chicken was the very first Asian food I tried at 10 years old. I was addicted to it immediately. It’s not a common dish in the area I live in so I haven’t had it in years. The dish was a deep fried flattened breaded chicken breast with a light clear broth gravy served on a bed of lettuce. The wilted lettuce added another unique flavor to eat with the Cantonese Chicken. Do you have a recipe for this or is it also an Americanized dish?
I am sharing this video and information with my son. We are both trying to eat healthier. I will be ordering from this company. Thank you so much for sharing this info.
Great video to watch on my birthday. I've been waiting for this one when it was mentioned in the last chow mein episode. Very interesting take on a staple dish. I always look forward to each video every Friday as it brings joy and relieves boredom when I don't have work during the week.
So happy to see this guilty pleasure of mine presented on Made with Lau, especially with such a healthy ramen noodle brand! Stir fried ramen is a staple in Hong Kong style cha chaan tengs and you can have it with any topping. Its got superb wok-hei and almost a toasty aroma but also it's usually quite oily haha. Would like to share a lazy simple version of stir fried ramen noodles for those without a wok or hates the lingering oily vapours after woh-hei filled stir frying. I do it by briefly blanching the noodles like daddy lau did and make sure all vegetables are cooked, then i add in just a bit of oil to let the noodles sizzle a bit, and then i'll add in the noodle seasoning package (not gonna waste precious msg) and a bit of water to let everything mix (now thinking of it you can also melt the seasoning in a bit of water first too) and voila.
Thanks Daddy Lau for many inspirational recipes. One thing not related to cooking is how do you get the burnt matter clean. Your wok and utensils look fantastic. I had to used oven cleaner on my wok and then re-season it.
I am hungry watching your father cooking . It looks delicious. I will buy Vita Ramen . Thank you for sharing the recipe. Kristy from Ft Lauderdale Florida
I threw together something like this a couole weeks ago, but all I had were these Indian noodles, but they were like ramen, firm and springy, took about 4 mins to cook up. Then I made a nice sauce with soy, dark soy, ginger, garlic and spring onion. Stir fried it with carrot, cabbage, spinach, onion, garlic and ginger. Came out pretty fucking good. Better than most Asian places around me. This is why I love Asian food though, it's fast and simple, as long as you do the prep first. I could pound out a meal for 6 with 10-12 mins of actually cooking, even less if it's a veggie dish, like 5 mins.your people are truly kings of fast delicious healthy food. Well all Asians really, except pho places, that stock can take days. But you can make a fuck ton of atock and freeze for later to make it easier.
Oh chow mein is my favorite thank you for giving us your recipe and showing us how to do it also I-bought a Wok from Las Vegas international Market so I seasoned it and all that so the next time I used it it started having a rest smell in my food so could you please tell me how do I take the Rust smell out I tried really oiling it and wiping it really really good I live in salt Lake city you know the environment here there’s salt in the air That every must do a lot of dusting
Malaysians do this a lot. We call it maggi mee goreng. Maggi noodles are just the common name we give to instant noodles as maggi was the prevalent brand. “Mee goreng” = fried noodles. Mee is the Hokkien word for noodles and became part of Malay and Indonesian. Mee in Malay and Mi in Indonesian. And sometime we throw in the seasoning from the packet for some MSG goodness…
Just a word of caution for them people already taking suppl. Vitamins. Don’t over do it. Vit c you pass trough if taken in excess. Others don’t so just be careful with the daily intake. Love the channel btw!

In the hotel I work in, sometimes we have leftover veggies from one service to the next (since we do buffet-style, we peel, chop, dice and prep a LOT of stuff and sometimes not all of it gets eaten). As a result, stir fries are one of our go-to recipes for 'cleaning the fridge' so to speak. Delicious, quick and so very, very adaptable. All you really need is soy sauce, water and sugar, but you can toss in anything from sweet chilli sauce, ketchup, teriyaki sauce all the way to balsamic vinegar, depending on what ingredients you're working with and what final flavors you want to reach. Typically, though, I'll stick to something simple; carrots, spring onions, ginger (finely chopped, not ground), onions, garlic and mushrooms, with either egg noodles or rice as my starch. It's usually enough of a 'hit', it'll wipe our pantry clean. And wipe us out with exhaustion too, but seeing a customer enjoy their food is worth all that sweat.

@@ot7stan207 I checked Vite Ramen's FAQ earlier, they say it's vite like bite but with a v, one syllable.

49 dollars for 9 pack of ramen you mean ? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I figured they’d be expensive. He also burned the noodles and you can see it when he has the veggies under the noodles.

One of the ingredients of the noodles is quinoa which is diabetic friendly.
