Nice bike but being an exotic your patience for parts availability will make you glad you have the KLR for backup.
At 50 I now wear bi-focals when riding. Slight correction for distance and magnification down low on the lens helps with seeing instrumentation. Has made a significant difference in being able to see properly when riding.
I could definitely put that 4 Post Hoist to use in my garage haha
Mason! Welcome back!
Wow it seems like a long time since you’ve posted. Looking forward to another season. Just finished plugs, filters and fluids on my Triumph Tiger. New rubber on my girl too, trying out the Trailmax mission tires.
Hope you’ve wintered well now get back on that bike big guy!😃
I’ve really missed waking up Sunday morning with coffee and Masons Adv. God bless you brother!!
what happened with Mason that he stopped making videos
@@csiautodetail Don’t know?
I know the pain of waiting for parts hopefully they arrive soon
Great to see a video from you. Looking forward to following along this season..
Good to see you back Mason and are looking forward to the Ducati farcles and upgrades 👍
Nice to see you back Mason, looking forward to seeing you out on the desert x.
I’m so sad. Bought the KLR and have been watching you since before I had one. The Desert X is my dream bike. And now I have to live in envy again!!😊
I just added the same tires to my MT07. (A bit of a scrambler) please post how they compare to the tkc80. I thought pretty hard about a set of those. Great videos! I can't wait to see more.
Hey, it was only an hour ago and I checked to see if you had posted anything about the Ducati (you had not) when this appeared! So greetings from Australia where we ride all year - except on those really hot days - looking forward to see how your modifications go.
Good to see you back at it!
Looking forward to your video's. Thought maybe you hung up your camera's since I haven't seen any material. Also, you're the perfect person to own a Ducati since you can fix just about anything. I own a T7 here in NC and love the new Ducati, but I'm not that great of a mechanic. Enjoy.
Good to see you Mason, I got to sit on a DesertX a few weekends ago, and wow, that’s a beauty of a bike, wicked nice man, congrats! Hope your parts arrive soon, and glad you still have the KLR ready to go. Spring is coming… Cheers, and keep well!
Something about that Ducati man; it's just so cool. This is my weekend to get caught up on the KLR. There's lots to do before the season kicks off. I think that new bike is going to be fantastic for you brother. Cheers from PEI.
Vision like yours now I can see far away but up close stuff I suffer,I suppose its just age related 😅 bit of a pain.Hope we all have a good season coming and a safe 1.
I'm finishing up some upgrades on my KLR. I'll hopefully be doing a lot of trail exploring through Muskoka and North Bay this summer.
BMW loves thread locker also. Any fastener I have that doesn’t readily break loose gets a good shot of heat gun treatment before the second try. If you can get up to 350 F or so, most thread lockers soften considerably.
Great to have ya back Mason.
Looking forward to your first full year of adventuring with the Desert X
Cheers!
I can't keep up with you! I'm just getting my Cogent shock on the KLR! Now I have to get a Ducati?! Excited for the new adventures this year! Here's to spring!
Same on back order! Going to cancel this week and go aftermarket. I was planing on keeping it more of a touring bike but changed my mind when I took it off road. Going full knobbies gps, crashbars, tuning, and much more coming very soon. Already have the full arrow exhaust on
Welcome back buddy!!!
Love that your keeping klr. Like to get new but klr so reliable
Great video thank you . Glad your back looking to a new season thanks again cheers to ya.
Oh great you again 🤣. Hope all is well with yall. Older I get the worse my eyes get too.
Great to hear from you, Mason ! The bikes look all ready to go ! 👍🏽 Looking forward to riding along with you and the rest of the crew. 💪🏽👍🏽
I can totally relate on the vision issues, I’m in the same boat. I’ve got a 700i Montana but I need to decide which bike to put it on.
Went from the Pan America to a KTM 1290 SA-R to the 890 Adventure S, and I’m thinking about upgrading the KLX300. If the 300 gets swapped I’ll mount the Garmin on that bike.
Good to see you on my notifications again Mason.👍 The Ducati is one sweet bike!
Nice 👍.
Glad to see the bikes are ready to go, working on getting mine ready for spring. Hope everyone gets to ride more this year.
I have the same WRS shield, handguards are hitting it, may have to trim the shield some.
Good to have you back Mason! Quick question: did you consider the Zumo XT, and if so, what made you go with the Montana? I’m looking to get a dedicated GPS and am looking at both. Thanks!
Cmon make a video about that wind shield :)
Good to see you again brother 👊 the wait has to be killing you. Thanks for the update Can't wait to see what you do
My riding buddy is waiting for the same Ducati parts as you for over a year. He did an oil change and was told by the dealer his warranty was void. Then after a chain / sprocket issue was told they don’t sell parts to non warranty users. I surly hope your experience is better. A one year old machine that you have to buy parts for on the black market. No legal way to get a shop manual and zero dealer support.
That’s absolutely crazy situation Jim, knowing that, I will nolonger be looking at a Ducati Desert X.
@@windinthewillows6248 I think it’s more of a story on how you should make sure the dealer is good than the bike. Personally I love the Desert X.
Any concerns with trapping water, dirt, debris under the fork socks? I’ve heard some concerns with other brands of socks.
Hi Mason, what size fork skins did you install? Thanks
How much for your new bike just asking
