I personally like the wonky, disgusting first part. I have a thing going on with my buddies, where we're using these themes as themes for our vehicles. The first part of George's theme is for my buddy's Ranger Spencer's theme is for my cadillac deville Duncan's theme is for my old chevy silverado James's triumphant might be for my buddy's beetle, but that is unofficial for the time being. I'm still trying to think of what would be good themes for the F150 and the Jimmy (may he rest in pieces).

Then percy arrived to take George away. He was still rebelling. " Railways are no good turn them into roads." The little engines were pleased to see him go. "Rollers are rubbish so good riddance!" One day, George the Steamroller was waiting for Percy to take him to a new workplace. George was being rude to Rheneas and Skarloey. "You're just worn out wheels on worn out rails!" "You need rocks for your roads" replied Skarloey "and we're helping you." "I need to flatten little engines in the scrapyards" retorted George. Then Percy arrived to take George away. Narrator: George had been found out by Sir Topham Hatt and punished. He looked miserable! Percy: Now we'll get some peace at last. George: I want to get rolling again, but I've got to wait a whole week until I do. Thomas: And then you'll be just as rude as ever. Eh, George? Narrator: I hope not. Don't you?
Did you actually know that George the steamroller doesn't even like the railways? It's completely obviously clear to be exactly 100% absolutely true! That certainly would BASICALLY ALSO DEFINITELY explain why he says, "Railways are no good, turn 'em into roads, pull 'em up, turn 'em into roads" whenever he's near any of the engines! Did you actually also apparently know that George the steamroller made an appearance in the movie titled Calling All Engines in the montage of him smoothing out the runway @ the airport? It's completely obviously true SINCE I've especially seen it with my own eyes! Now that I personally think 'bout it, the same exact thing applies to a rude red double-decker bus named Bulgy!
“Yay George’s theme!!” I wonder how it’s gonna sound with the tenor sax, bassoon, & alto clarinet compared to the real version of the song?... I guess we’re just gonna have to find out in the day it premieres!.. 😊 this should be interesting!.
All of the added parts were great to listen to, especially the bass. Also fun fact: George and Duncan's themes are very similar, but Duncan's is faster and George's is swung
I always thought the clashing sounds and hard mechanical beat were kind of the point of George's character; he's a machine that exists to destroy railways and replace them with roads, and he's a generally surly, grumpy character. That said, the jazz breakdown was certainly an interesting twist on the old theme, not something I would've thought of. If you're still taking requests for future covers, I'm still pushing for Percy's Season 5 Theme.
I never thought I needed the "George the Sneaky Devious Steamroller" remix, but by heavens I'm glad I got it! There is so much personality in the jazz arrangement that just says so much about the character's underhanded ways. We get a beautiful bombastic rendition of the theme we all know and love at the beginning and then we get this beautiful unexpected turn. I absolutely adored it. This kind of surprise excites me immensely and I am so excited to see whose/what theme is next - not to mention I am excited about the release of Volume III on Spotify! Keep it up Luke. :)

Oh my god, I adore the jazzy take after the first eighth of the video. With the Al Capone accent George Carlin gave him, it’s like he’s lurking around a dimly lit alleyway with his mob. The flute solo is purely fun, very quick and yet keeping in the smooth atmosphere. Another masterpiece, mate.
