The accordion was fit in very well, and it didn't overtake any of the other instruments, and it just flowed together in a very relaxed, smooth peice. It really matched the vibe you were looking for.
3:38 I've especially wanted to mention that I personally don't wanna completely obviously mean any necessary offense, but I personally just suddenly came up with the idea of officially bringing Fergus the railway traction engine as well as Stepney the Bluebell Engine back into the popular TV show known as Thomas & Friends starring the famously well-known Thomas the L B S C Railway class E 2 Tank Engine himself! In fact, it's completely obviously clear that I'm personally gonna officially gonna make 'em both have an official reappearance @ the same time for the very first time EVER in official full CGI animation! Also, apparently for another fact is basically that I've especially decided to even have Fergus the railway traction engine's own official driver make a wonderful character comeback following his own official ONLY speaking appearance in the show's very own complete classic era's entire 7th season in the episode titled Fergus Breaks the Rules where Fergus' driver agreed with Fergus the railway traction engine on the fact that the Smelter's Yard can simply be considered to be very spooky BEFORE the scrap diesels known as 'Arry & Bert showed up as well as adding more locomotives to the Arlsedale Minimum-gauge railway to expand their own official fleet of minimum-gauge locomotives!
Fun fact: In Bill, Ben and Fergus, when Fergus gets trapped in an avalanche, one of the pebbles gets lodged in his funnel, which actually damaged the model.
WELL, ALL OF YA CERTAINLY ARE OFFICIALLY CORRECT 'CAUSE THAT'S BASICALLY WHAT I SERIOUSLY JUST SUDDENLY LEARNED FROM WATCHING A SPECTACULARLY SPECTACULAR VIDEO ON THE MODELS OF FERGUS THE RAILWAY TRACTION ENGINE HIMSELF BY TRAIN BOY MULTIPLE TIMES RECENTLY!!!

“Celebrating the 50th custom Thomas & friends cover arranged by Instrument maniac!” Congratulations on making it this far and also your first comment!. 😁👍
3:38 I've absolutely like to take the opportunity to just suddenly incredibly remarkably 100% outstandingly knowingly having proudly to mention that I personally like to generously congratulate you on your own official 50th EVER cover of a theme from Thomas & Friends as this video that you did really well was basically focused on Fergus the railway traction engine who's basically considered to also apparently have been ONLY apparently featured in the show's very own complete classic era's entire 7th season in exactly 3 episodes titled Bill, Ben & Fergus, Salty's Stormy Tale, and especially Fergus Breaks the Rules as featured on my fire stick with the official narration by Michael Brandon himself! In fact, it's completely obviously clear that exactly 1 of those exact episodes from the show's very own complete classic era's entire 7th season was basically featured on my official DVD titled Thomas and the Jet Engine that had exactly 3 episodes from the show's very own complete classic era's entire 6th season as well as exactly 3 episodes from the show's very own complete classic era's entire 7th season as I personally ought know through some observation-filled research that I personally done recently! By the way, that theme for Fergus the railway traction engine that you've played wonderfully happens to be exactly based directly on the classic series song titled There Once Was An Engine Who Ran Away as I personally completely obviously compared Fergus the railway traction engine's own official theme from his own official character introduction in the show's very own complete classic era's entire 7th season to that exact same song!
3:38 I've especially wanted to mention that I personally got a hunch that Fergus the railway traction engine certainly would BASICALLY ALSO DEFINITELY 100% ABSOLUTELY love your own official 50th ever Thomas & Friends theme that's basically his own official theme! In fact, it's completely obviously clear that you certainly MUST'VE heard that during the avalanche scene where Fergus the railway traction engine got buried in rocks up to his own funnel, the flywheel function of his own official model got damaged as a specifically good explanation for why he certainly NEVER ACTUALLY appeared in the show's very own complete model era as well as the official full CGI animated era following his own official character introduction in the show's very own complete classic era's entire 7th season! However, it's completely obviously clear that I personally came up with the official idea of officially bringing Fergus the railway traction engine back to the show along with his own official driver as I've cleverly decided to use what's remaining of his own official character model that got damaged during the show's very own complete classic era's entire 7th season episode titled Bill, Ben & Fergus during a complete avalanche montage for the official reference as well as officially SIMPLY full CGI animating his own official driver @ the same exact time!
Coming back to this and I think this theme really marked an improvement in your theme making. It keeps that consistency of the theme that your earlier covers have, a little bit of originality with your middle point of covering these themes, and that orchestral feel that your most recent covers have. It's such a nice blend, feels so true to the mold while still building on it, and all around is just excellent. It may be an underrated theme, but it's still my favourite cover of yours. I think it being the 50th really makes a point as well, as it's kind of a milestone for how far you've come.

Fergus... one of my favorite side Characters... This is Amazing!!! sorry for always a step late to the party, but I really enjoy your works! happy 50th thomas cover! here's to another 50!
Congratulations on the 50th theme! I personally liked your version of Fergus more than the original version. I can't explain why, it just makes me smile and cheers me up. =)
Why, oh why, do you look like you're having so much fun with the flutes and violas? Idk, but it's my favorite thing about your videos, you exude pure enjoyment in what you do and I am most grateful. Thanks Luke once again for sharing your beautiful self with the undeserving world. Always a big fan.
Yay!! 50 themes of the franchise, and you picked an interesting candidate for it. Can't wait for the next 50 themes after this. Speaking of a theme for within the next 50, could you try making your own version of the Harbour theme. I'm aware that it's just the viaduct theme sped up a bit, I think maybe you could try put your own spin on it with maybe the Contrabass Clarinet as a cruiser horn or something like that.
You're welcome 😊. I'm just watching 'Thomas, Percy and the Dragon' - a trip down memory lane - and having an idea, I wonder if I could make a suggestion about recreating the Dragon Theme in your own magical way🐉
Knowing the original version, when it got to the part with that big diminished run I was expecting it, but of course was pleasantly surprised by what you had composed. Which really, is just more of a testament to how great you are at this. As always, just outstanding stuff and congrats on reaching 50 themes!!! Also as always, I can't wait to hear more!!!
I don't think Fergus' regular theme is humanly possible to do, so it was a very smart idea to use parts of the song instrumental instead, great job as usual! 👍
The flute harmonies sound so good!! Good call using the ukulele in this as well. It's very pleasant! I love how you shifted to a minor key while still hinting at the melody. It felt especially cinematic.
Wow, the half century! Congratulations and well done!! Its always been a real pleasure to listen to your tunes! 🙌🏻💕 I love your video edits which marries the protagonist's dilemmas so well with the twists and turns in the music. Great stuff!👍🏻
And Luke pickman your pleasing the Thomas and friends community by doing these themes and I love all of the themes you’ve done so keep it up and thanks for making us Thomas fans happy😃😃😃🤜🤛
This was such a banger to listen too! really loved the instruments used in this one, it has a very happy tune to it. Would love to see more in the future 👍
great work on another theme congrats on hitting 50 themes it been amazing hearing all this music put together so thank you and to everyone you team up with along this ride so keep up the amazing work and look forward to what themes you do next because there a lot more to do , more character , specific episode theme or whatever else you come up with so let keep this traveling ride going!
Congratulations on a "half-century" of Thomas themes! "There Once Was an Engine Who Ran Away" is such a catchy and underrated song - I almost found myself singing along to it as I was listening to your cover! The ukulele and flutes, plus the accordion at the end, give the theme such a relaxed and jaunty feel, which I think fits Fergus better than the frantic original one. I will indeed be listening to it on repeat!
Hi Luke Pickman. I loved the 50th theme of Thomas and Friends. I've never thought the Fergus' Theme is so majestic. Request for Elizabeth the Steam Truck and Bulgy the Railway Bus, if they're on your list.
If that’s the case “Alternative” Fergus song (based on Ichabod Crane song) Who’s that coming down the line? With a big fly wheel, and looking fine. He has a pride and pull a train We like to know what’s his name (Continue the lyrics if you want)
As usual, this is pleasant to come in and listen to after a trying Thursday. I like the feel of this piece. Did you go for a bit of a Caribbean vibe with it?
My goodness Luke I love this, it's great upbeat melody (I think I like this more than Stepney's by a long shot!) The Ukelele was so fitting for this style and the flutes worked so well overall, how could I forget the bass though. I think you hit a really good balance with them, they didn't overpower any instruments but made sure they were there and tied the piece together. I love the transition in tone during the smelters scene, it was a wonderful change to hear (and I kind of want to hear more of the grittier darker tones myself.) Overall, another banger of a song Luke, great work; I do have a suggestion though. Perhaps do the S6 runaway theme with a heavier bass, as the original cover seemed too light, and brass instruments during S6-7 is kind of nonexistant for the themes.
"Stay... cool" I had to laugh at that... "Stay *something*" is something many successful youtubers actually say at the end of their videos, the second most popular being "And I'll see you in the next one". In any case, double bass Luke looked very cool indeed, so it's all good 😁 As for the theme, I thought it was going to be all "happy-go-lucky" so I was pleasantly surprised by the two sections where things get darker and more dramatic.
Such an awesome arrangement! "Once there was an engine that ran away" Was one of the songs I grew up with, since I grew up watching Seasons 6-9. I expected to hear the theme from Mavis M you showed at the end, but still this adaption is great. Hope to see more of your arrangements, And I suggest again (Sorry if I'm too... Annoying? Welp) I need Jack's theme, and also I thought of you doing your arrangements of songs like "It's great to be an engine" or some of the old gold songs.
Now this is the theme that screams "train music" to me more than any other in the series that isn't from the original first few seasons with Original Characters. I think it's because all the music that was train related I listened to as a kid all had at least that one song that has that 1-1,2-2,3-3-4-5, 3-3-4-5, 3-3-4-5 beat that just went sorta up and down and all around lot in that satisfying order. As it would then come to a slow and subtle build up that got pretty louder and louder and more triumphant. And then would sort of go on a downward coast of the main theme or melody but with a much more loud and vibrant tone. As a kid it was sort like how I pictured a train coming down that one last stretch of it's long and difficult journey when it finally all pays off. Sort of a happy go lucky but triumphant and well deserving congratulations kind of theme I guess. Especially with bits of seemingly odd and out of place solos that somehow still manage to fit because of that same very repetitive and sliding sort of beat. Which by the way, usually had something that sounded a lot like clapping or someone's footsteps clacking against the floor as they skipped along to that same music. Or more likely Horse hoofs clopping down a road or a person and their dog happily trotting back to their peaceful home after a ton of action and events from that day we're seen and experianced. And then you add the fact that you used a flipping accordian which is a very unorthodox instrument that you don't hear to often outside of songs with this same kind of carefree sliding to and fro rythum that makes you want to tap you feet and sway and Bob your whole body side to side. And it's fitting too, such a weird and unique instrument that nobody ever really appreciate until you realize what it can really do. If I could describe that kind of music I con honestly only say that the first thing that comes to mind is happily riding into the country side after you just accomplished something great and very difficult. Like you had a string of bad luck and nothing you did went right, everyone ridiculed you for it, and then all of the sudden not only did you prove them all wrong while doing a good deed but you also managed to overcome something that you were always scared of not being good enough to do. But no one especially could do it, they all tried super hard and all failed miserably. And suddenly you stepped in, the odd one out, because all of the sudden they needed you and not only did you do it, but you made the Ultimate difference and people are legitimately impressed and astounded that you were the one who did what everyone else couldn't. And all of the sudden every has nothing but the up most respect for you. Some are even jealous and envy the amazing thing you were able to do against all odds stacked up against you when it really counted. And now you have every right to feel proud of yourself. And ironically or perhaps fittingly on purpose, that is EXACTLY what happened every time this character was the focus of the Episode. Which is very shocking considering the fact that this Character was never really used or revisited ever again and sadly just fell to the wayside as everyone else moved on. Fergus was always that weird little outcast who was constantly self aware of how others saw him and would try his best to fit in but never could. So instead of trying so hard to do what others wanted, he did his job the best way he knew how and constantly tried his best despite always being the one pushed around. And every time he tried his best, he got better and better and eventually more confident and realized sometimes you'll never be good enough to some people. But that's on them because if you know that you did the right thing and you out everything you have into what your doing, then no matter how many mistakes you make, your still doing the right thing and that helps everybody. Sometimes you just have to take a good look at yourself and realize that you shouldn't try to be someone or something that your not and focus on what works for you. And when you realize that, you can truly do anything and defy all odds and difficulties no matter how many are stacked against you. And as a little kid but surprisingly even more so now that I'm much older and wiser, I now realize that I was actually always able to relate to that kind of Character. And that's probably the reason why I not only love this the but also this kind if vibe I get from not just hearing but FEELING the music. Music that funnily enough was in a lot of train related stuff from the very base and foundation of my childhood. And now I feel like I can ride off into the sunset knowing that I'm always becoming a better person and making a better world around me through the people I care for and will always have by my side even if they're not with me in that moment. Just another little odd ball out there in the world doing their best work. A little odd ball who's finally happy to just be themselves. The very best they can ever be. 🎵🎶🎵🎶🌈 🏙️🏡😊🌄🏞️
Wow sensational that was I’m so impressed yes the original is insanely rushed I’m glad you mixed is theme of the song together that actually made it so much more authentic! And you made it right as opposed to do it right Fergus’s quote also would Henry’s theme be on volume six or not?!
The accordion was fit in very well, and it didn't overtake any of the other instruments, and it just flowed together in a very relaxed, smooth peice. It really matched the vibe you were looking for.
That's what I was worried about, glad to hear you felt like it balanced ok! :)
Fergus was such an underused character. At least, he gets the honor of being your 50th Thomas theme.
Didn't help that his model got damaged in that rockslide he was in.
I agree. Fergus wasn’t seen very often in the show. Same with Stepney.
They could have had him be a static appearance in Calling All Engines.
@@davidscholz3041 huh
The accordion worked really well. More triumphant! Perfect with the scene of Fergus And Salty!
The part from 1:23 - 2:00 is just absolutely perfect, and expertly crafted.
Fun fact: In Bill, Ben and Fergus, when Fergus gets trapped in an avalanche, one of the pebbles gets lodged in his funnel, which actually damaged the model.
Also the flywheel is also damaged by a pebble
The pal literally got bated in a variety of small rocks I'm pretty sure there was more than what they have told us
WELL, ALL OF YA CERTAINLY ARE OFFICIALLY CORRECT 'CAUSE THAT'S BASICALLY WHAT I SERIOUSLY JUST SUDDENLY LEARNED FROM WATCHING A SPECTACULARLY SPECTACULAR VIDEO ON THE MODELS OF FERGUS THE RAILWAY TRACTION ENGINE HIMSELF BY TRAIN BOY MULTIPLE TIMES RECENTLY!!!
I actually didn’t know this, even though I know a bunch of Thomas facts 😅
I found myself singing “there once was an engine who ran away” in my head whilst watching this lol.
Good job!
i love this so much
You've certainly "done it right" with this cover of Fergus' theme.
I'M SERIOUSLY QUITE INSANELY MORE THAN REALLY CERTAIN THAT FERGUS THE RAILWAY TRACTION ENGINE HIMSELF CERTAINLY WOULD BASICALLY BE VERY SHOCKINGLY SURPRISINGLY QUITE QUICK TO ACTUALLY 1OO% COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THAT OBSERVATIONALLY OBSERVATIONAL STATEMENT ALLLLLLL THE WAY ON STRAIGHT THROUGH IN MULTIPLE AWESOMER THAN AWESOME FUN-FILLED WAYS POSSIBLY POSSIBLE ANYWAY FOR SURE, OL' CHAP!!!

poggers that was amazing im annoyed i missed the premier
There is always next week! ^_^
Jack is on the list!
Dude you could be the next Mike O Donell & Junior Cambell
The next time he tells us to do it right, we'll do it wrong!
Thank you thank you thank you I thought you’re not going to do one but I like you can you do the diseasel next please ?

@@InstrumentManiac oh cool!

Fergus says Do It Right its Important to Follow the Rules and Listen
i wish fergus was used more
Now this is the theme that screams "train music" to me more than any other in the series that isn't from the original first few seasons with Original Characters.
The very best they can ever be.

not so interested in Fergus theme but really love your version
Wow sensational that was I’m so impressed yes the original is insanely rushed I’m glad you mixed is theme of the song together that actually made it so much more authentic! And you made it right as opposed to do it right Fergus’s quote also would Henry’s theme be on volume six or not?!
Thanks CJ I'm glad you liked the approach to this tricky one! A remastered version of Henry should be on Volume 6 :)
@@InstrumentManiac jolly good Luke I’m glad I asked keep up the good work and good luck 🤞🏻
The next day the twins were still thinking about furgus.

Have you ever thought somebody could sing to the Music because I have a good singing voice
