JD you are one great kid, so wonderful how great job you are doing helping your father. Dalton, love your style you have fun with everything you do, the kid at heart that will never grow old.
" Just look at that stance." lol. I love this. Nothing against the car, it's not the car, it's me.....but if I drove that out of my yard I would be arrested in 5 miles. Never make it 185 miles, for sure.
Concerning the lighting issue and your cure, makes me wonder if you ever lived in North Carolina...lol... it's North Carolina approved Glad to see father and son working together
Love it! We turned a 71 LTD into a convertible, and realized that it would go just as fast in reverse as forward. We were in the field in reverse passing cars on the road. Be safe, we were not!
This project reminds me of a shortened VW beetle dune buggy I made as a high schooler, back in the 1980’s by cutting it in half with an arc welder, no joke… didn’t have a cutting torch or a gas setup so, cranked my dads welder up and blasted about 16 inches out of the middle. Welded the two halves back together. Never did have back brakes after that. Milk crate seat. Brakes were seriously sketch. One pipe off each cylinder was the exhaust, so basically, no exhaust. Drove it all over the place and managed to not kill my self!
It was awesome seeing JD getting involved with building the awesome mud car. I hope y'all have a lot of fun looking forward to seeing y'all in the next video. God Bless y'all
She's a keeper!. Olive drab, my favourite. My canal boat and vehicles are all olive drab. I like the fact it subconsciously terrifies burglars and thieves not to fuck with your shit. Maybe I'm just old fashioned like that. Anywho yer styling now Mr, and no mistaking. Well done you two 😎
Once did a similar car with a 73 Pontiac safari station wagon. Ran it for years. It went 13 flat in the 1/4 mile with the body removed pissed alot of vette guys off when we took the trophy home. Loved this installment. Also like it whenever JD is involved. See ya next time.
Everybody needs a support-system of some kind, and JD is yours, "ah, that's fine", you guys crack me up, and you make a awesome team,👍, thanks for sharing.
I’m so glad that Chris showed your channel… it’s awesome! This is exactly what I’m going to do to my 04 Blazer. The only difference is I’m driving it to Alaska and running it off the side of a mountain!
@@PoleBarnGarage well, let’s stay in touch and plan a trip next year 4th of July. I’m planning on making a video of cutting the Blazer up and the whole trip up. It would be killer if you videoed it. Your editing is much better then mine…😉
I knew you had it in you to build a Baja car! Looks awesome. Too bad you were rushed on time because the spare wheel standing up through a hole cut out of the trunk would be epic.
I get a kick out of watching JD sometimes when your explaining things he just kind of looks at you the way mine use to look at me when I was doing something silly. He just looks at you like are you ok you don't seem to be normal. I enjoy watching you and him working on the cars
I feel like the scrunchy gutter outlet things make a better snorkel than dryer duct, other than that I have no other critiques of this otherwise flawless professional build.
And to think someone once loved that car enough to make car payments on it! Its come a long way since driving it off the lot!! And now....on to GLORY!!!!!
I know what you're saying... I look around at all the cars on the road and I think "every one of these was new on a lot somewhere at one point." Someone paid money for that!
Hell to the yeah that car looks good. Suprized in the turnout of the green. Now I want to get one for the gambler as well. I’ll put it on my old twin I beam front suspension from my truck. I’m converting my truck to 4wd
Park - it's a ford. Find under the dash where the bolts are that hold the shift cable and make sure the bolts are still there. Then tighten them. At least, that was the fix in my 99 ranger LOL
JD you will never ever meet a person Crazier than your dad. You lucky to participate in the Greatest transformation of an automobile ever. Have your dad get you some goggles from Harbor Freight to protect your eyes on the drive. Have fun👀😃😃👍🇺🇸🏁
I remember some crown vics would have a linkage issue on the column of a couple of bolts getting loose and limiting the travel of the cable.. worth a look
The control arms in the rear might want some strengthening. The car is a tough piece but those arms did fail once in a while in cop car service. Give them a lookin' at.
You kinda made your son JD a partner in crime. Good luck on your Mercury off road if it survives. You do have a vivid imagination on cars. Love the your channel. It’s a hoot!
Well looking like the general's staff car is ready. It will hide well in the trees when it explodes. And well you pull off the plates and shove it off the highway. Oh and when I cut the top off of a rolled truck to use at the farm. I used the old weather strip off of the doors to cover the sharp edges.
we do that gambler 500 out here in oregon, it's about 80% dirt and its also a little like geo cashing, it's a race but there's "no speeding" water crossing happens but our major kajigger is the choking and blinding dust. you have to dress for the dust and your car has to be prepped for dust.
Seeing JD being the "parking break" gave me flashbacks to when I was a kid and I was the remote control for the TV lol
this channel is completely underrated

I wanted to, but they may end up on the eagle

Attention to detail, concourse level stuff. Perfect, love it. All done while styling and profiling the Hawaiian shirt. Great tech tips. 🤘

Great work with the duck tape and the parking breaking genius 👏 👍🏻 👌 I'd bet jd though of that one
