- Today I reviewed this menacing looking of a vehicle the 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT at Koons Dodge of Tyson's Corner, Virginia. I go over the basics of the exterior while taking in the essence of how the vehicles design is portrayed. This comment is for those trying to decide whether to get this vehicle or not. I recently bought my 2015 Challenger SXT in September 2015. I couldn't be happier with my decision. My previous car was a 2005 mazda 6 I've had since high school. The SXT is fast enough for me. I opted for this model because of the great highway gas mileage. I constantly take road trips for work and vacation. On the highway I average 30.6 mpg while traveling at 75 mph. My best 0-60 time is 6.5. The ride and seats are extremely comfortable. The stock sound system is above average. I would recommend this car to anyone!
I want to get one man but I've never bought a car before I'm a first time buyer and I've always loved this car I have 2 jobs and I'm guessing I can be able to pay this car do you have any tips that can help me?

I'm glad you also mentioned the sound system because there are very few comments about that on these videos. I'm assuming you're talking about the sound package 1 which is not the Alpine, which is sound package 2.....thanks again.

Look on the window sticker where it says the MSRP price.
You should be able to buy almost any vehicle for about 5 to 6,000 UNDER the MSRP price. This is the CASH price of the vehicle BEFORE tax,title and license...figure about 10% additional cost over the cash price for those fees.
A new SXT PLUS should be about $30,000 to $33,000MSRP depending on the options so you should be able to buy one for about $26,000 or $28,000.

john tyler I'm driving a 2008 Honda Element but I can't decide between this or a 2016 Camaro. The space in this thing is VERY appealing as well as its affordability it's almost a 2k price difference.

I own this car, comfort is fast enough, but sport mode has really nice pickup. It can easily do awesome donuts as well with traction control off. Feels really new as well.
I didnt even know i needed this car. I do now though.
I absolutely love this car. I purchased mine a few months ago for a great price. One of the best decisions I've made I highly recommend test driving this bad boy.
I want this vehicle badly. I should be able to afford soon, I hope.

Pointers:
I know it's your first VID, but where you mentioned front & side fog lights @ 10:43, they were on the sides of the car - - thus side markers. Fog lights are to help in adverse driving conditions & are usually found on the front of the vehicle.
If you're going to do a review, know your product. Is that rechargeable thing in the trunk 9:30 a tire inflater &/or an air pump?
I'm glad you'll be driving in reverse because those new headlights (10:09) are tail lights ha-ha. J.K. - - good VID kiddo, don't give up & continue to strive to make better ones.

Sorry I know this is your first video, but it seems like you jumped into recording before making yourself familiar with all the features. At 6:26 for instance you are not coloring the different parts of the screen, its highlighting the area where you are able to change what is displayed. Also, this is the SXT Plus and there is a difference in trim levels which to some people is important denotation. Just some tips! Good luck out there.
Nice job for your first review , just a small detail, the lights at the rear of the car are called tail lights, not head lights.

I've owned a 2015 Challenger SXT Plus w/ super track pack and pretty much everything else since June 2015. Already have 24K miles on it. For anyone wondering if the V6 is fast enough, it is plenty fast for every day driving like what I use it for. The SXT is not a muscle car. It's a great looking, responsive, good handling (with the track pack), quiet, comfortable cruiser that can be loaded with just about any tech you might want. If you're looking for a muscle car you're going to be disappointed with the SXT.
I wouldn't say you'd be disappointed with the SXT as far as performance, it does 0-60 in 6 seconds flat. That's as fast as the Fox body Mustang GT's were in the 80's and 90's and those were fun cars.

Hey man, I'm buying my first car in about 2 months, should I get the the rt or this one in the video? Can you tell me the difference between the two models? Also do all 2015 challengers come with that rear camera when you go on reverse?
I mean in all honesty if you can afford the RT then go for that one but if you're on a budget go for this one, check out my Dodge Challenger RT video for a comparison. Basically if you're going for the RT version the thing your gaining is Horsepower and Torque but lower gas mileage, and if you go for the Pentastar V6 you're gaining MPG but losing the power of the V8 it's all down to your preference. Also check out the Dodge website to see if they have a backup camera on the model you want since there is so much to choose from.
The 5.7 Hemi is only about 1 second faster than the 3.6 V6 in the quarter mile, not that much of a loss.
Also the base R/T has NO options on it....most SXT PLUS come nicely optioned with leather interior...this one has cloth but most have leather.
The 3.6 liter engine produces 305 Horsepower Stock!

@@southernpride4988 I know this reply is a year old, and I don't know if you have your first car yet but for a first car I would recommend something slower. That way you can get used to driving it and then later get a higher hp car. If you want your first car to be a sports car the 305hp V6 is a great option for new drivers. Its not to fast so you wont be as likely to wreck it or get pulled over for speeding without realizing it. When you have some experience driving a lower hp trim of the car you will then be prepared for a higher horsepower trim like the R/T or higher. (Like I said, I don't know if you have your first car yet because it has been a year, but if you haven't then take me seriously. Sure you're young, and you want fast cars and don't want a boring one, but its better to start with boring and be safe then fast and cause an accident or something of the sort.)

Yes they aren't the stock wheels but I don't know it was a dealership add on, if you like the rims I could find out for you.

My work truck,a v6 2014 would allmost keep up with that. Love the Challenger but would have to the Rt with a stick.Or a Ram 4 wheel drive with the large Cummings. Or keep my 2003 Ram with less than 100k and by more land,ammo and a new Bible. hmmm

Do any of the Dodge Challengers have rear cameras for backing up?
I can tell you that the 2015 Dodge Challenger definitely has rear cameras when going in reverse but I’m not sure about any other models

+94FADE The SXT Plus has the leather and sun roof up grade. I think the back up camera is standard on those as well as is the 8.4 screen.
Some SXT PLUS have cloth, I've driven them.

Well Raul, it all depends on your credit and the amount of months you would like to finance it plus any money you're willing to put down on it. Those factors would consider the payments but most likely it's all up to you on what you want to choose on the vehicle as well just to make a point. Also dealership websites will always have a payment calculator to give you an estimate on the pricing as well.

you have a choice between the challenger RY scat pack shaker for around 43k or the Challenger SRT 392 around 45k but find a good dealer and you could possible get it for cheaper

Hey buddy, if you want to become more popular and what not then you should be more professional. Good review but you need to make the video smoother and stumble a bit less. Also sometimes you were showing/explaining things that weren't in frame. Not bad though.
