That's a sweet ride. I would prefer not to have the V8. 30MPG at 80 MPH on the highway, zero to 60 in 6.2. The V6 is all I would ever need.
finally someone gets it i would rather have the one with the lesser cylinders because of fuel economy i'm here for the looks not performance (yes 300hp is still awesome)

Hey Mike , great video on a beautiful car......There is a 2015 here in my town for sale with 20,000 miles on the odometer , Pitch black with bright red leather interior, I believe it was a special order from the factory on the red interior, looks very sharp........And oh yes....Your videos are very helpful, thanks for a great job.

Hey Mike, I'm new to your channel so bear with me... just wanted to say THANK YOU for this overview as well as the other video you made with the Challenger at night.
Like most car geeks with the passion for, but without the money (or need) for things like Hellcats and the higher performing monster cars, I spend a lot of time reading specs and watching videos, both before and after test drives. Yesterday I drove one of these, identical with the exception of the color... you went over everything the sales guy I spoke with did plus a bit extra, but with you I had the added benefit of being able to pause and rewind things of interest.
I know some of the gearheads are gonna complain about this car having a 6 in it, but the car I'm wanting (this one, basically) is going to be primarily on the highway as a daily driver for a total of 80 miles a day... that 30 mpg is a BIG deal. There's also a lot of us out there that just don't need the 8... my last car was a MB C230 sport with a decent little 6 in it (but nearly 100 hp less than this car), and before that my usual cars were four bangers with boost, so when driving this car I got a helluva thrill... I haven't been pushed into my seat in a long time and it really was hard taking the stupid grin off my face. 305 horses (that pick up in just the right spots) aren't a joke. It's just a really, really fun car to drive, and incredibly powerful for guys like me that will never be piloting their vehicle on a drag strip or race track. More than enough to zip past sleepy, early morning texting-and-driving meatheads on my drive to the office.
Also, it just looks like a beast. I mean, it is a beast... the younger brother to a family of badder beasts, but a beast all the same.
I'm glad I held out as the 2015 interior is as gorgeous as it is functional, and I appreciate the nod they gave out to the '71 era. Dodge really did right by this car.
One thing of note that I noticed yesterday is that in sport mode, the steering wheel tightens up a lot... it actually makes the car feel nimble. Granted, it doesn't feel like a Focus ST, but it's really the difference between a luxury car (in normal mode) and a precise surgical instrument when engaged.
I drove the Camaro equivalent of this about a half hour after leaving my local Dodge lot... and while there's nothing necessarily wrong with it (with the exception of a trunk that seems to be more of a gesture than a functioning boot), all I could think about was that damn Challenger.
If things work out right, I should be buying one outright within the next few weeks. Anyway, great video, you did better than my sales guy, and hopefully my comment speaks to some other cats like me that aren't coming into this car as leathernecked steroid car mechanics, even though we appreciate all of the bad ass American muscle they're responsible for. I have the 2012 version of this car - if you like the power of the stock set up consider getting a cold air intake (cost around $200) and the 93 octane Diablo Tune (around $400) and look out! I would estimate an additional 25-30 horse power and you can do little things like change the sensitivity of the throttle etc.

Out of all the Challenger Models from SXT to he Hellcat which car will have the most comfortable ride? I like power but I don't want a stiff suspension that feels every bump in the road. Which options should be avoided?

Is it just me or does this car really have a great value? As far as I know the new Mustang EcoBoost premium costs about 5-6 grand more and offers pretty much similar features and performance as the new SXT Plus. I find it ridiculous that with the SXT Plus money you could only get a stock EcoBoost mustang while the SXT Plus has pretty much everything from leather seats to navi.

Tamer Aga I don't have any experience driving it in snow... it should be like any other RWD car I assume.
Urban environment... sure but you have to take it on an open road every once and a while and let it loose!

+triplethreat563 A muscle car is a classification regardless of year. The car I sent you is a 1971 Challenger with a 318 V8! Most people would consider it a muscle car... it has 230 bhp. The car in the video has 305 hp with a much better transmission. Needless to say, it has the muscle and the looks to classify as a muscle car whether you admit it or not.
