Just in case you've seen this video already, You are not going crazy I am transferring some of my older videos over to their new home, here on King Kogi!
I wish I could express the special place Martina has in my heart. I've been having trouble with my depression since winter struck here in Alberta Canada, but whenever I watch Martina's videos and hear her voice, it brings me back to so many happy memories. Thank you Martina, so much!
Big hugs Jade! Winter depression is so tough, and it must be quite cold in Alberta. I’m not sure if you can, but when I was back in Toronto during covid I found bundling up and having a walk in the sunlight at least once a day really helped. Even if I was taking a break from work and just took a 10 minutes stroll. And I’m glad the videos help, sending love from Japan
Once again I regret watching one of Martina's videos without having food before or a snack on hand. Everything looks so good and you make it sound even better.
Hey Martina! I lived in Mitaka from 2016-2020 for university, and always loved watching your videos since I was new to Tokyo🥲 I’m currently not in Tokyo (I’m trying to get back tho ) but watching your videos reminds me of my time in Uni and it makes me so happy❤I hope your are doing well, love you lotsss!
Am I the only one who has only fond memories of airplane food? 😅 There was something I found very satisfying and comforting about the food. I like how it's in sections.
I find food served cafeteria style from places like IKEA very comforting I didn't even eat at the cafeteria in school growing up, always brought sandwiches from home...
For me airplane food comes with the relief that there are very few customization options, and I don't have to compare the prices because it's already all paid for! Travel and airports especially can be stressful, so it's nice to just chill for a few hours with no decisions to make. Also I don't feel rushed to finish my food!
Hi Martina, I just wanted to say thank you for all your videos. You push through even with your health as well as personal difficulies and produce amazing material for us to view. I will be heading to Japan with my partner soon and I am so excited as it's my first time in Japan. I find your videos so friendly and informative and it's really helped me to boost my excitement even more! Keep doing what your doing and I wish you an absolutely incredible life.
martina, your videos going through menus and walking through places are so helpful as an autistic person who is prepping for travel. ive been using your tokyo tours to plan my visit this winter, they are so well organized and informational! love from the states🐷💗
First of all, I have to say I love your wolverine tattoo, second your videos have just the right amount of information and goofiness to keep me coming back, keep up the good work, I’ll be visiting Japan in 2024, and I am definitely going to be stopping bye some of the places you’ve shown.
I need to not watch these videos when I’m not eating lunch or dinner LOL, I just had breakfast like an hour ago but watching this already has me so hungry. The way you shoot and edit food just makes everything look so delicious, omg ❤️
Can confirm! During my first month in Japan I found great restaurants in food courts all over Tokyo. Odaiba, Akiba, Shibuya, Tokyo Station… they’re a really solid choice for visitors still getting their bearings!
I'm so glad you reposted this video because I had no idea it existed ! Even though I did watch every video you put out on your old channel. I wonder why I missed this one. Anyway, it was great! it made me realllly hungry !
This is the reason we ate so many quick meals from conbini (always on the go). Didn't even think to try the shopping centre but will remember this for next time, thanks! That food looks so delicious! 😊🤤
I’ve gotten to know Japanese reviews, and things like “menu was not given to me with enough care” 1 star or “person behind the counter at the cafe didn’t greet me and I felt unwelcome, 1 star” and then I’ll go the same place and it’s just a neutral person who isn’t rude, they’re just not over the top. And then I know the reviews the other way for Canadian restaurants. Google reviews are like little look into the cultures 👀
For those that are surprised that theyre still wearing mask, people in japan were wearing mask even before covid. So I think they're not gonna stop now. Maybe less people might be wearing them after it's not a requirement but people will still wear them.
Thank you for this! When I was in Japan in 2019 I ended up eating at the conbini a lot because it seemed like every restaurant was closed when I wanted dinner (I started my day early so my meal times were earlier than usual). Now I know to check out malls during those odd times!
Hi Martina, can you please do a review on the King Kogi products. I'd like to see what the sizing looks like! P.S I really enjoyed your Royal Host video.
Fun fact, indonesia had these set meal. But didn't really count cos it was specifically japanese cuisine only. Or korean with the extra banchan. Indonesia version does include free salad but only for fried chicken. A really specific type too. The catch is, the veggies is usually raw. Its Ayam Geprek or Pecel Ayam. Super spicy sambal. Ohmygod, i am craving some rn
love you so much martina!!!! so happy to see you thriving without being weighed down by someone's negativity! you are a damn SHINING STAR and completely inspiring for those who are going through hard breakups!
I love how you explained how worth it is to try fish with bone. I feel like most people have hate for bone in anything. I have definitely felt micro aggression growing up for my ethnic food.
Oh this was delightful! Love that you can get rice and miso refills with the meals and everything looks so wonderful. It was nice to hear the reviews too about it. I definitely think this could be a place to visit for sure. I'm going to have to set notifications because I didn't know you had a new video. I deleted Twitter recently and completely forgot that's how I got your notifications. I'm so happy I saw this tho!
Can I just say I love you and your videos. You are so bright and fun and super fun to watch. I can't wait to visit Japan but for until I can, your videos keep me super happy. Thank you
I love this and am so excited and thankful to visit Japan for the second time next May! Your videos are going to be super mega helpful for my trip, can't wait for the delicious foooood 😍
*gasp* This reminds me so much of the Prudential Center food markets and "mall restaurants" in Boston. I remember several good meals there, and opportunities to teach my friends Italian that I remembered from a year of intensive study. Japan is amazing, Martina, we both know that.
One of our FAVORITE meals in Tokyo last month was a little udon bar in the basement of Shibuya Parco! The basement food halls throughout the city are the besttt
Oh man the basement restaurants in train stations can be AMAZING! Shibuya recently had a major facelift and there is a mall that has the most epic looking futuristic basement restaurant scene, and one of my favourite beer places opened a second location the basement too!
We went to a mall restaurant in Osaka last week.. and had THE BEST kurobuta pork katcu curry that I have ever eaten in my life!! I love how restaurants set up themselves on the floor.. it's not like a food court vibe at all and the food is GOOD!
Can i just suggest more videos where you read those amazing reviews!!!! I saw a meme the other day that had a menu with "Chicken rude and unreasonable" and the caption said " I think its jerk chicken" and it made me think of trying to find restaurants in Japan and some of the translations were epic! Thank you for continuing your journey with us! Can't wait to make it back!
I will wear a mask forever from now on! Since masks were mandatory, I have yet to get sick and I used to get sick 3-4 times a year. I’ve been virus free for 2 years now!
My Great Uncle nearly died choking on a fish bone. So we always had the rule no talking at the table when eating fish. And children were always given the tail since it has less bones. Having said that, my family's favourite past time was fishing, and it's how my Grandpa's family survived the Depression. That and shooting rabbits, and earning money by diving for golf balls at the golf club. I have no idea what the plan was if any of us started choking though 😅
I really thought I was going crazy. I was thinking to myself haven't I seen this? And then I see the comment lol Anyways I love your content Martina.❤️ I hope to see more of your videos.❤️ & plus my daughter loves your videos. She has been watching your videos since she was a toddler.
I love that North American malls are slowly embracing this type of foodie mall. I've seen some food courts with only smaller chains/local restaurants in Toronto/Mississauga
UA-cam offered me an advertisement of adorable “Rolife DIY Miniature Houses”. Maybe you’ll like them, Martina, the Rolife Sakura Densya Book Nook Shelf Insert seemed magical in the ad.
Just in case you've seen this video already, You are not going crazy I am transferring some of my older videos over to their new home, here on King Kogi!
I thought it was familar 🥰 I'm glad to see them in their new home
I thought it was familiar. I will still watch it again because you deserve the views!
And it's time to re-re-watch them all 👀
I really did think I was losing it. Thanks. 😅
You are so smart

That is so hard!
omg right??? Ubereats is about to LOVE me as a customer 😂😂 RIP my credit card
I am so hungry now...and I just ate.
Martina, I'm so happy you got your groove back in Japan! Your happiness plus appreciation of the cuisine is a pleasure to share! 💖🎄
You could also grab a bento and a drink from a depachika, and have a nice meal at a park
There's nothing quite like trying to live vicariously through these videos as a I eat my lunch, lol

Mitaka!!!! Such a lovely area! Hopefully you'll be back soon, enjoy the video vibes and the good memories of your Uni time!
japanese malls are so much cooler than the ones near me in Michigan. Sending positive vibes to all the Martinas and Martina fans.
Fellow Michigander 🤗
I’m from Michigan too 😮
check out mitsuwa in chicago! its not too far from michigan :D

can't wait to get to japan
in the meantime, we live vicariously through Martina
Rewatching your videos as I recover from total procolectomy surgery. Thanks for keeping my mind off the pain!
I remember this video! But super happy to watch it again 😁makes our mall food courts in USA/Canada so shameful in comparison
Oh thank goodness someone else did! I thought I was having some long winded deja vu 😮💨

The way you explain the methods of eating and enjoying these meals is INCREDIBLE! I am SO HUNGRY now!
What a lovely way to start my birthday! Love it (even if I've watched it before ;3 💜). Much, much love, Martina. I hope you have a wonderful day.💜💜💜

I totally get you.So hard to find places open after the break time of doom.
The way you read those auto translated reviews!!! 🤣🤭 I haven't laughed so much in so long, thank you Martina 🥲
The clerk aspects in the reviews are always my favorite. "Food was amazing. Great price. The clerk didn't smile at me enough. One Star".
That extra pour, what a lovely gesture 🍶🥲

You have seriously increased my desire to go to Japan. I always thought it would be cool, but every episode of Tokyo tours just warms my heart!

Funny how I don't mind re-watching a Martina video. Yum yum yum! That meal looked beautiful.
Thanks for the food encouragement, really needed today.
I love your food videos Martina!! 💗🤩
Asia just does mall food so nice! I can't wait to visit Japan one day and experience this myself! 😍
Excited for your Osaka adventures
I LOVE YOU MARTINA PLS CONTINUE WITH THE CONTENT ❤
Always happy to see a king kogi video!
I always get soo happy watching your videos Martina!!! Just hope you know that
Some foreigners refer to Sake as 'sweet water.'
Indeed, the dry variety (辛口) is often considered the superior choice for Sake lover like Martina.
Rewatching this vid, your channel is so cozy ❤❤❤
your hair is soooo cute here!! Any chance for a king kogi hair tutorial special?
🥺 I love you and your videos Martina!
Kogi censor for the win!! I love how you describe all the different types of food~
いつも楽しく拝見してます🇯🇵
The combination of the auto translate reviews and the iconic classical fancy dining music in the bg is killlllling me.
Love these little glimpses into normal Japanese life
I love your nail color and design :D
No shade, I love that the menu is like a Denny's - please give me pictures of the food. It will help me decide faster.

Good on ya mate. Love the video 🐨
I wish a bigger variety of food was available in my country, this looks delicious for mall food!
I really was not expecting to hear
P!NK playing in a Japanese resturant in the year of our lord 2022.
10/10
Do u think y can make a video on how to make that fish in the sauce. It looks delicious
Me: Oh, so it's kinda like tapas
Martina: "It's kinda like airplane food."
I had the best vegetarian tempura I’ve ever had in a mall in Tokyo. I was so surprised at how good it was as I was expecting UK level of mall food.
The malls have a lot of varied and nice options.
I want all this food!!!! It all looks so good.

Holy moly is that an 8 story shopping center?! The ones here only really go up to maybe 4
It's more than 8 stories, actually most of them go up to 15 and have rooftop gardens! It's pretty epic
@@KingKogi 15?! Whoa that's a lot 😱 I'm so jelly we have rooftop parking but no gardens over here 🤣
the only japanese restaurant in my area does that same thing of opening and closing for lunch. middle o nowhere amerca. keepin the tradition allivee.

I don't eat fish/seafood or much meat but Martina makes it all look tasty so I eat vicariously ☺️
