Hey Kale, just wanted to drop a comment because I watched this video yesterday and then went out for a surf. I've been surfing for 4+ years but hadn't focused on my upper body / arm movement before. It was a complete game-changer!! I generated way more speed and way more radical turns than I've ever done before. It felt amazing. Thank you!
I gotta say, I obsoletely love your videos, they are super engaging, easy to watch, and they have been huge for my surfing progression! Best part is you can easily communicate high level education via surfing and training to simple words, seriously love your channel.
The surf skating really helps. Perfect waves every time, you can repeat over and over and over and it's easy to video yourself so you can analyse how you look and what you're doing. Not as fun as the ocean though!!!
Excelente trabajo, tienes los tutoriales más completos de youtube. Sería increíble que hubieran subtítulos en español y llegarás a más gente. Saludos desde Islas Canarias!
Another epic video Kales! Thank you! I hope you can make a detailed step by step tutorial for bottom and top turn using a surf skate. We are on flat season here in the Great Lakes.
Her back foot feels super heavy, do you think that's why she's having to use her arms for balance so much? Also, loved "whippy and wind-screen wiper-y"
Hey mate, your videos are awesome! I am beginner and have surf whti longboard 9.0. Can you make a video teaching how to turn longboard easily? Tks from Brazil!
Hey, could you please do a video on what board is best for different types of conditions, and how to know what the waves are like on that day? I live near a beach break so it is hard for me to know what board to use since the waves are different almost everyday. Thanks :)
I think his issue is that his stance is way too narrow and his back foot is not back enough on his board. That’s what is causing his shoulders hit it be able to “open up” more and he is stuck in a shrugging position
Why do surfers drag a hand in the water? I'm guessing it's to cause drag on one side of the board thereby giving you assistance in turning. Is this correct?
Nice! indeed I do have the problem to have my arms to much open, instead of having the arm directly pointing right over the board stringer. What skate are you using for practice ?

Not as fun but very effective!
“UnderRadicalized”! This is great info, I love trying to implement these little lessons into my surfing.

Awesome insights, thanks Kale!!!
Awesome as always!!

Her surf board is too small for her and those waves. She doesn't have e enough balance and so she has to poo stance and helicopter arm that wave.
Not enough speed or rail engagement yet
helpful video mate , thanks a million

why is no one talking about the dolphin?! are they common in Sydney? You have to be lucky to see one these days in Hong Kong.
I love your videos! You really helped me to progress my surfing and have even more fun on my board. Thank you for that!!!!!

What song is playing at the end there?
Once you work out your first backhand hack you'll go from not liking backhand waves to only wanting backhand waves 😂
💯
Feels like butter, for me it came more naturally than front hand hacks.

Hard to tell without seeing wide angle footage
