Although I still miss little red, I can see it’s much more comfortable for you cooking etc in Snoopy! I’ve not had a Fray Bentos pudding for years! Looking forward to your videos of Dumfries and Galloway.
Carol and Ken, a new subscriber from across the pond (Somerset, New Jersey). I am so happy to have found your channel and look forward to more adventures tagging along with you both. Love your Snoopy van, but will play catch up on your older videos with your red van, also. Have to tell you that I lost my husband 3 years ago today, and your channel’s titled caught my eye as I was browsing US van stories on UA-cam. We had talked about coming over for an extended period of time to travel through the UK, possibly by van, so these few videos I have enjoyed this afternoon have really touched my heart. Thank you! Can’t wait to travel with you some more. You both have such a happy zest for life. 😊
I’m a brand new subscriber - I have to say it’s nice to watch people just being themselves. I’ve never been much of a fan of vans, always thought they felt too small and confined but wow your new van is the first I have ever liked - the rear L shaped living room looks so comfortable ! Anyway will be looking forward to watching more of your videos !!
I was feeling a bit stressed this evening, so I was glad to watch this video. Very calming and relaxing. Classic lakes weather, but you don't let it get you down, because you're away on another adventure. All the very best!
Carol and Ken are such a lovely couple and have helped me and they have helped with the lovely videos at the moment...im glad your feeling better They take your mind off a bad day or what your going through Trouble is I'm always bloomin hungry with them cooking lol 😆 😂😂 Becky 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 xxxxxxxxx
God bless both of you ! what a marvellous couple ! I think my wife and I would last 2 days in such a small space lol and one person would be dumped in the sea lol . Thanks for putting it all on UA-cam and being a great couple living the van life. big respect @both of you . And Charlie brown you have a great temperament lol love both of you
Wow, that view of the mountains was stunning. I don't think the new rv has made you soft. When it's pouring down, I feel blessed that i have my own bathroom so I don't have to get drenched walking to the bathhouse. All those years tent camping with the kids and then a popup camper and a truck camper, all with no facilities, I am enjoying indoor plumbing. I can cozy up with a book or watch my favorite UA-cam channels like yours or just take a nap. I don't have to go out side in bad weather unless the dog needs a quick wee and she hates having to go in the rain. Not having to deal with wet rain gear and muddy boots everytime nature beckons is wonderful. I think you have the best lounge area arrangement I've seen. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Love the comments about where you get the products from You won't ever beat mothers homemade cooking...good memories I make meat pudding with suet and meat and potato pie....have fun 😁 Becky xxxxxxx
Carol ken and charlie brown Just a suggestion and I know it's room in the campervan but a little lamp Be so so cosy with both of you and off course baby charlie brown lol xxxx Becky xx
Nothing wrong with doing nothing. One of our favorite things to do in fact lolz. Those pies turned out surprisingly well! Stunning backdrop to the campsite, even in dodgy weather. Take care x
When we purchased our THIRD set of ramps (in 3.5 years) after driving off without them (again!) we also bought a carabina type clip and a big, bright yellow floaty thing. We now attach the clip etc to the ramps when putting them in the boot. When we use them, we place the carabina clip with the big, bright yellow floaty thing on the steering wheel. Fingers crossed that last ramp purchase will be the last ramp purchase! 🤣 We're also trying to remember to do that final, all encompassing walk around the site after the van has been moved off. Ho hum! 😅 I've really been enjoying relaxing with you in your lovely cosy warm van! Summer is coming to an end here in New Zealand but there's still plenty of nice camping weather to come.
It’s nice having a bigger space to live in when the weather turns bad. A hint for you, i have a chucks cloth with a rubber band over my hose outlet for sink, it collects any scraps i may miss, then change the chucks cloth every so often.
Hari OM As I sit in the New Lanark park-up under yet another blatter, I recall the snow and sleet endured a little further north and think, at least it's not that today. And don't even get me started on speed humps; one lot resulted in some buckled shelving... and another lot (in Edinburgh), plus lots of pot holes increased the buckling to the point I had to visit the Ikky Shoppe and now have wooden ones for my utility deck. I dread those sleeping policemen ..... 😏Anyway - making use of 'fallow' time is all part of van life and you two made good use of it! YAM xx
I wouldn't advise laying crossed legged or sitting because it give you bad circulation also cramp problems and some occasions give you gout. Love videos again and snoopy looks very inviting and cosy especially on those cold and dull days.
Hi Both, Another Navy term for you, last one was the Submariners Dhobi!, Well, ... those pies you had at the begining are referred to as Baby's Heads in the RN, they are always a favourite at scran time at Sea or ashore. Enjoyed the video thanks.
I know a guy who manages a takeaway in a small rural village. When he first started work there he began giving large amounts of chips with all orders. The owner was not impressed but agreed to let it run for three months. Three months later my friend had almost doubled the turnover of the chipper and claimed that it was all down to being generous with the chips. "There is nothing as cheap as chips" as he likes to remind me now and then.
Enjoying your travels in the new van. I agree, you are looking more relaxed and lovely to see so spacious for cooking and enjoying your meals together at your table. The views out your big windows are awesome ❤
You two are so cute! ❤ I appreciate that you use maps, etc. and name locations. Everything is interesting, especially the old towns. And the countryside. Love it all ❤😊
Boy I just don't know how I feel about this new van. I think I'm gettin spoiled watching such a vast change in how much luxury and space you have. Makes me feel like your going to have to much fun lol

Ken, I love the “bloomin” adjective you use to describe things…so British! Your description of Carol’s feelings about your cross leg sitting was so funny! I am sure you are wrong about that!😉 Have a lovely Spring and safe travels.
I lived in a small motor home for 2 and a half years and felt so cosy as the winds raged and shook my van during stormy nights. All good as long as it didn't hail! This would really freak me up as you feel so vulnerable! Fortunately it only happened twice, and the van sustained no damage.
Glad you enjoyed your motor home living. Can understand your feelings about hail having seen the damage it can do to vehicles when we got caught in a storm in St Louis!
Sorry you were feeling a bit low. But Snoopy really is turning out to be a great van for you. Seems funny you moving around so much. Lovely vid again guys. Thank you 🙏👍🧙♂️🚐
Hi Carol and Ken Another good one looking forward to the Southern Scotland video. One my favourite parts of my homeland. When my later parents were alive in the 60's and 70's we used to caravan there at weekends with the Triumph 2000 and a Sprite Major and then a Welton Express. Kind Regards Crawford
Interesting way to cook the microwave puddings. You use microwave rice straight from the packet in fried rice - it is already cooked. Just add to the pan with the other ingredients once they are nearly cooked. You can also use it as rice by heating in a pan with a little water- ideally with a lid, the steam helps, then remove lid once rice is hot to evaporate water. Pre- cooked ( soft) noodles also work well in Chinese like meals. They don’t need refrigeration, come in packs which serve 2, and only take a few minutes cooking in the pan with the other ingredients.
Great vlog, Glad you are enjoying g your van. We picked our 2017 Calders Camper conversion from the dealer last night and went for a drive to pick up Fish & Chips at The Ocean Catch, Dundee, before going to sit on the waterfront at Broughty Ferry. It was too windy for an enjoyable dodgy walk so we just came home. This is the 2nd time we have picked up the van (1st April), we have not put our stuff in it or been away overnight yet. It was been in for 12 snagging points, that we highlighted at the handover and a timing belt service & water pump replacement, which they seem to forget to do at the service! It came with a full service record (Invoices) but only 1 stamp in the book so this was picked up by the dealer when I requested a copy of the service invoice and a stamp in the book. The top tip for any new purchase wether you are new or an experienced van owner is to check, test, re-check everything in the van by using it ASAP. Don’t be shy about going back to fix things that they should have, or claimed to have checked prior delivery. I know the dealer well as they maintained and repaired our previous vehicle latterly. The said to me when we picked it up on 1st April “Oh you are an old hand at MH’g, you won’t need a walk round handover”. I said “Aye Right”, I’m expecting a full walk round, handover then we checked the awning, cooker, lights and along the process came up with several things they agreed to put right. With our first vehicle, new from a big dealer, they actually delivered it to us because of a delay in getting it ready. The delivery driver was our salesman, who did give a walk round tour, but was keen to be given a lift to the station to get his train home. I wanted to go round things again check the heating as there were so many new things to take in. Let him go, my wife says, I took him to the station then spent the next three days trying to get the heating working, with calls to the dealer, error codes shared. So our first trip was 150’ down their way, a day hanging round the dealership whist the tried to fix it. In the end tgey took a pcb from another new van, swapped it, got it working. We had a fistful of checklists from the manufacturer and then the dealer but no one picked this up? Top Tip - Do your own checks, I see other 1st time MH Owners with the same experience. Our new van is used, low mileage so hope all will be smooth sailing. We’ll put things in it today then go for a rattle drive. First serious trip to Skye for a long w/e, but I want to do an overnight off grid test first to make sure everything works, we have what we need and leave behind all the other stuff from the bigger van that we probably don’t need. Your vlogs have been inspiring and helpful from the start when I started following you in “Little Red”
Solid advice. We spent 5 weeks testing everything on this shakedown trip hence why we even used campsites which we don’t normally do. Every van has issues which may only appear once they have been shaken by UK roads. 👍
I love your new van and do enjoy hearing about the van and how much you’re enjoying it. Love your laid back videos, it’s like sitting in the van with you, makes me feel like I’m with you. 😊
My dear dad used ti love those Fray Bentos pies & his chippy order would always be, puddin, chips, gravy n mushy peas (it’s a northern thing) 😊 You sound like G, every morning, he asks me what the plan is 🤭 I’m more of a “wing it” planner, which often backfires! Funnily enough we are in the van 🚐 in the lakes tonight. Lovely video both, nice to see you relaxed & enjoying the views despite the weather. Em & G 💜
It's so lovely to see you thoroughly enjoying your new van. We have had our Peugeot Boxer Swift Mondial Rear Lounge for 12 years now and I still have that lovely warm feeling when I'm setting it all up to go away. Best life. Enjoy xx
Oh lovely a Ken and Carol video to watch whilst we are away making the most of our van. We are currently in the outer Hebrides, after 3 days over here we finally have phone signal to watch some videos. Totally beautiful islands and very friendly driving around. So far I think Vatersay and Barra are my favourites.
Hi Carol and Ken, having a loo on board must be saving you a "pretty pound or two" with having search out public loos 😀 ... "Charlie Brown is not amused, she thinks I'm a pain in the arse", if that was my lovely wife she knows I'm a pain in the arse 🤣🤣, had a couple of Doom Bars last year, not a bad drop, cheers, Garry from DownUnder
Castlerigg was the first campsite my husband and I ever went to in late 90s.. Mostly just a field then with a relaxed vibe watching the sun go down. It was our first tent, cold rubber airbeds and our duvet from home. It was absolutely freezing by night and blisteringly hot by day. We couldn't wait to go again! We had many tents over the last 26 years, moving to a caravan and latterly a Motorhome. We've been back to the larger site opposite but you've inspired us to get back to the farm site one day!
The more comfortable the van the less get up and go. As a family of 4 we went from mw transit to a 4.2 tone x welfare bus. It's good to have the option to relax rather than feeling like you need to get up and go out especially when you spending extended periods of time in the van. Nothing better than people watch from the van warm and dry when weather is bad. Happy travels.😊
Hi. Well after almost 10 years of living in the area, we have never been to Harrington. Will do now. Looks like Blue would love it. Thanks for sharing 👍🐕🚙
we ran some warm white USB fairy lights around the full perimeter of our Van, using tiny command hooks, and just tend to use those in the evenings. For us, it's a much warmer and softer light.
Glad to are enjoying the new van. Interesting your experience with not being able to get a taxi. We have often found that in smaller towns. Once had to wait several hours for a taxi in the very early morning at Abergavenny Hospital for a lift back to Brecon CMC site. Sometimes during the day its difficult.
You cooked the suet pudding as I would have done Ken and I agree you can't beat mum's cooking. You both look happier in the new van and who cares if its made you lazier. We all deserve a rest now and then.See you on the next .Safe travels.
Love your vlogs. Have notification on, so that I don't miss any. I went to boarding school in Keswick for 6 years. Secondary school age. From 1987 until 1993. You brought me back some lovely memories . Thank you. Take care of yourselves xx
Oh thank you for your reply xx. Sorry mine is late. My 94 year old grandad died this morning. So have not looked at UA-cam until now. Yes I really enjoyed it. It had a dry ski slope. A swimming pool. Rock climbing wall. Tennis, hockey and netball courts. 2 football and rugby fields. And a cricket net. It gave me a love of sports until this day. My Dad was in the RAF. Both my sisters in later years, also went there. We fell walked every weekend. Walking up skiddaw to see the sunrise at 4am every year. Was my highlight. Enjoy the rest of your travels. Look forward to seeing your vlogs. Take care of yourselves xx
There were 2 Keswick school sites until the year 2000. Lairthwaite and Keswick. I was in lairthwaite boarding house for four years. Next to crosthwaite church. Then the boys were at Bristowe Hill. And the girls were at greta Hall closer to the town. Robert southeys house. Which is now a b and b. As Keswick school amalgamated into one. Made bigger on the Lairthwaite site in 2000.
New subscriber here from Scotland you popped up on my feed this morning 😂 thoroughly enjoyed watching . Sorry you had to repair your regatta top ,most unusual ive had some for years and years and they re still as good as new . Happy motoring love the morothome. You have all you need in there ❤️
I've had those puddings, I just empty it into a saucepan, chop it up, add a little water, and heat it that way. Tasty. I'm with you Ken, I hate speed humps. Will you get as far as the Isle of Whithorn? 🤔 a wonderful place. Enjoy.👍🐸
Glad the weather cheered up a bit for your second part of your journey.Bacon baps look very nice make me feel hungry. The lighting in your new Van looks great. So many configurations you can have. Have a great weekend.😊😊
UA-cam removed comments, that contain www links and sometimes links to other UA-cam listings... Because of this I am unable to recall my actual comments, so apologies. "Pain in the a...," never!! Perhaps for inclement weather situations, create a box/basket of; puzzles, games, books, writing materials and amusements to keep your minds active and eliminate the 'cabin fever'. Another great outing, whatever the weather. Take care & stay safe. Kia Ora from New Zealand. 💜💜
So interesting watching the transition from small to large, and the pros/cons. Food for thought 😊. Thank you for sharing the process & also how priorities shifted after the trip to France/seafood fiasco. Happy travels 😊
Hi Ken and Carol nice to see you in our part of the world. Workington and down Harrington. On Saturday and Sunday 8th and 9th of April the front of Harrington was sealed off to traffic due to storm Kathleen the Waves were over 30 foot high crashing against the old sea wall plenty of photographers about taking pictures. All the best Malcolm and Sheila from Workington in Cumbria. Sorry we missed you
Lovely relaxing video, I could hear the wind and rain buffering Snoopy. We consider ourselves so fortunate last weekend when Storm Kathleen didn't affect our camping. Great to see the Bilbo''s campervan on your campsite. We camped with 3 fellow Bilbo''s campervans last weekend at @BackofBeyond campsite in East Dorset and took advantage of the visiting pizza truck on the Friday and the Fish and Chip truck on Saturday night, lovely food, no cooking or washing up, a real treat , and yummy food. There were also another 2 Bilbo''s campervans staying on the campsite, so that made 6 Bilbo''s campervans on the campsite, amazing. Can't wait for the next trip now. Have a lovely weekend Carol, Ken and Snoopy ❤️🚐🍾 xxx

The countdown for our break is on. After seeing the breakfast baps on your vlog I am under strict instructions to buy some.
Have a great break and enjoy those breakfast baps 🙂
One of the best pieces of kit we found was a microwave which came as standard. Need EHU obviously.
Sadly no room for one in the nova ☹️
I bet the larger van makes a lazy day so much easier.
Looking forward to seeing Galloway as we keep threatening to visit there 👍🏼
We enjoyed Galoway a lot. Yes its cosy but I am lardy enough so need to get moving. 😁👍
I love your new van and do enjoy hearing about the van and how much you’re enjoying it. Love your laid back videos, it’s like sitting in the van with you, makes me feel like I’m with you. 😊
We love having you travelling along with us ❤️
My dear dad used ti love those Fray Bentos pies & his chippy order would always be, puddin, chips, gravy n mushy peas (it’s a northern thing) 😊 You sound like G, every morning, he asks me what the plan is 🤭 I’m more of a “wing it” planner, which often backfires! Funnily enough we are in the van 🚐 in the lakes tonight. Lovely video both, nice to see you relaxed & enjoying the views despite the weather. Em & G 💜
Looks like we might actually be getting some sun. We are heading to Scotland at the moment 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK snap! So are we, but the M6 was closed, further up, so had to stay in the lakes for tonight. Safe travels. Em & G 💜
Great relaxed video …. Ready for that wild camping in Snoopy videos now
Cheers Buddy 👍
Love your new motor home very nice much more room
Lovely video. Not having a pop up roof is an advantage in that weather. Snoopy looks great and cozy
Hi Willie those chocolates are good 😁👍
Glad you are enjoying them. I know it’s a lot but I thought if you’re going to do it do it right. Thanks for the reply
Love your new van.
Well done that meal looked lovely. Well done.Nice van❤
Nice time to watch and enjoy you two ❤
First video I've seen in a while, wow that new van is ginormous compared to the old one :) congratulations.
It's always so relaxing to watch you both. Thank you so much. Have a lovely weekend. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Cheers. You have a good one 👍
It's so lovely to see you thoroughly enjoying your new van. We have had our Peugeot Boxer Swift Mondial Rear Lounge for 12 years now and I still have that lovely warm feeling when I'm setting it all up to go away. Best life. Enjoy xx
You are clearly getting great value out of it. Glad to hear its still serving you well 👍
better weather must be due soon, terrible year for rain, happy travels.
Its looking that way
Great video! I love Fray Bentos and I am going to have to try those puddings!! Safe travels to you both. 😊
Enjoy yourselves and hope you get some good weather. We just arrived back in Scotland. All tucked up cosy for our first night 👍
These are my favourite you two cooking and cosy in the van ❤
Cheers ❤️
Delighted to have found your channel; a little ‘chicken soup for the soul’.
Welcome aboard!
Glad to have you with us. Thanks for watching ❤️
We are still using public loos to empty the pee bottles and grey waste. We can last for ages without having to visit a campsite now. 👍Cheers
Ah, the great British weather - always a gamble!
We've been back to the larger site opposite but you've inspired us to get back to the farm site one day!
we loved it up there, excellent site
The more comfortable the van the less get up and go. As a family of 4 we went from mw transit to a 4.2 tone x welfare bus. It's good to have the option to relax rather than feeling like you need to get up and go out especially when you spending extended periods of time in the van. Nothing better than people watch from the van warm and dry when weather is bad. Happy travels.😊
More comfort less movement is a real thing. We now recognise that we have to force ourselves to get out there 👍
Hi. Well after almost 10 years of living in the area, we have never been to Harrington. Will do now. Looks like Blue would love it. Thanks for sharing 👍🐕🚙
Great for a day park up 👍
Can’t beat a fray Benton’s 😂❤. Van is so lovely. Lovely that you are both enjoying it 😊 nice to sometimes be cosy and down time..lovely 😊
Yes as long as everyone is safe storms are enjoyable. You get to experience them better in a van.
we ran some warm white USB fairy lights around the full perimeter of our Van, using tiny command hooks, and just tend to use those in the evenings. For us, it's a much warmer and softer light.
Great idea 🙂👍
In America, we put suet in special holders to hang from trees for the birds to nibble from throughout the winter.
We do that in the UK too!!!
Love your van and the food you make or buy always looks so good! Happy Travels!
Cheers 👍
Snoopy is comfortable!
Another lovely video, thank you. You are both so relaxed ha ha xx
Yes Uber makes you think several available but nobody accepts the job. Makes me wonder if the cars they show are real?
my goodness, the last time I put my 2 bobs in on your travels was in Norway. You have a lovely mobile . wow
Thanks 👍
Life is about food ❤
My home town is Workington.
Your videos make me smile.
Thanks
Glad to hear that
Love your video keep up the good work
Great insight into life in Snoopy. Thankyou!
Ahhh lovely Keswick! We giggled at C's sewing task - I take my specs off too! N&Nx
Are you still abroad 😁👍
@@LifeistooshortCK Sadly home again. Waiting for half term before we can escape again...
You cooked the suet pudding as I would have done Ken and I agree you can't beat mum's cooking.
You both look happier in the new van and who cares if its made you lazier. We all deserve a rest now and then.See you on the next .Safe travels.
Thanks Barbara ❤️
Love your vlogs. Have notification on, so that I don't miss any. I went to boarding school in Keswick for 6 years. Secondary school age. From 1987 until 1993. You brought me back some lovely memories . Thank you. Take care of yourselves xx
What was that like ? Sounds like you enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the video as always Carol and Ken can't wait untill the next one 😁 sooo happy travels and take care cheers
😉👍
Cheers Rob 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK 🙂👍

Welcome Sandra. Thanks for watching 🙂
We saw you today driving over the bridge in Bridgnorth. Pity we were unable to say hello to you both as we watch all your videos x
We met up with Getaway Geese and went out to a Thai Restaurant 👍
Karcher window vac is what you need it's brilliant, you two are obviously loving your new van
We will get one at some point 👍
I've had those puddings, I just empty it into a saucepan, chop it up, add a little water, and heat it that way. Tasty.
I'm with you Ken, I hate speed humps.
Will you get as far as the Isle of Whithorn? 🤔 a wonderful place.
Enjoy.👍🐸
Not this trip but we are heading back to see the rest. Good idea to just tip it in a pan, it’s no different to stew and dumplings then 👍
You should look into hay box cooking
Stay tuned 😁👍
Glad the weather cheered up a bit for your second part of your journey.Bacon baps look very nice make me feel hungry. The lighting in your new Van looks great. So many configurations you can have. Have a great weekend.😊😊
Thanks, you too 🙂
UA-cam removed comments, that contain www links and sometimes links to other UA-cam listings...
We are taking some games with us on the latest trip. 👍
Kia Ora from Havelock Nth, HB.
So interesting watching the transition from small to large, and the pros/cons. Food for thought 😊. Thank you for sharing the process & also how priorities shifted after the trip to France/seafood fiasco. Happy travels 😊
We are learning a lot from the transition 👍
Hi Ken and Carol nice to see you in our part of the world. Workington and down Harrington. On Saturday and Sunday 8th and 9th of April the front of Harrington was sealed off to traffic due to storm Kathleen the Waves were over 30 foot high crashing against the old sea wall plenty of photographers about taking pictures.
All the best
Malcolm and Sheila from Workington in Cumbria.
Sorry we missed you
Would have loved to have witnessed that 👍
Lovely relaxing video, I could hear the wind and rain buffering Snoopy.
Glad you had a great time and a lovely meet up with the other Bilbo’s. Good that the storm didn’t spoil your fun 🙂👍
Lovely park up guys ,stunning views. You are so relaxed in the new van ...it's great .
Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
Thanks, you too 🙂❤️
