Come on guys a bad description of why you had to leave the site you were not kicked out of anywhere, just because someone else had booked a spot does not mean you would not have been welcomed normally,
Hi , stumbled on your video, I follow various camper/Camping channel’s just subscribed to yours… Ric doesn’t half remind me of “Kent Survival” Simon, is he an older brother or something…? Looking forward to following your adventures…😊
Yes there was even a Reserved notice on that pitch but you still parked on it, you weren't kicked off at all, you should have called ahead like most other people do, and And in France you can do this also at Camping Car Aires.
Kirkcudbright is a lovely place. My dad, as a very young man, was posted there and scratched his initials into one of the panes of glass in a local pub window. Many years later, as a young woman I visited Dumfries & Galloway - staying at The Murray Arms @ Gatehouse of Fleet, and visited the pub and found dad's initials on the glass. He died aged 86 five years ago. I bet his initials are still there to this day..
@@Touringwiththekids I've been racking my brain trying to remember the name of it.. I've even Googled all the pubs in Kirkcudbright to see if I can recognise it's name and none of them spring to mind. It was an upstairs window, on a landing, on the way up to the Ladies loos at the time. If I come across it, I'll drop you a line.
Hey guys, gr8 video :) we were the van leaving when you guys arrived, that's a shame you had to leave but glad you got booked for the following night, we have stayed there many times and never booked online, we always just drop them a wee message to check availability but this time we were told if we didn't book online they cant guarantee the booking, we took the chance as we prefer cash payment, pretty disappointing they wont guarantee a cash booking (no cash = no business) anyway hope you guys have an awesome safe adventure .
Ahh you guys! Yeah a big shame, it seems the set up is a little bit silly, with no indication on any of the apps that its bookable, or even on the gate. Hence why we thought we were okay! But still such a unique site that we had to come back and enjoy it properly. Hope you guys enjoyed your stay. Take care!!
I live in SW Scotland Right on the beach next to woodland We see deer almost every day Early morning and evenings you will see them wandering about the roads Sadly quite a few get hit by motorists
Lots of Aires in France are now bookable in advance as well, but they have barriers that you have to put a code into. It’s becoming more common to prebook, lots of folks would have stayed anyway given all the space but so good that you didn’t as places will be closed if not staying with in their licence to operate.
First time watching your channel, I have subscribed. I used to go on holiday every year to Garlieston I love the area. I look forward to seeing more. I now live in London but you cannot beat the beautiful Scottish countryside. All the very best to you and yours. Rab

We went to the Galloway Forest Park and stayed at Black Loch! The drive is very bumpy. We love feeding the deer and there were goats along the road too - did you see them? We think you are going to Ireland and we are so excited if you are because we did 2 weeks in our van round Ireland at Easter and the park ups are immense!! From Beth aged 8

You can tell he's sound running like that. Brilliant place to park and how helpful when no signal. How brilliant. All these people who want to wild camp in Scotland and take the milk and there are such lovely places they can legally park.
@paulgray2387 Yes but Paul some people take the mick and park on people's land illegally, get water from churchyard and leave rubbish. Would you want that on your land?
@paulgray2387 No you can't ! Someone owns the land, you need permission, and the definition of wild camping is that you carry your small bivvy tent on foot. Wild camping is never with motorhome, campervan or car !
enjoyed the video, hats off to you guys living in the truck with 3 kids and a dog but everyone appears cool with it and more importantly happy. checked the aire and on search 4 sites it states its operated on a first come first served basis. Have you tried Tairlaw picnic spot, It has free overnight camping. Its a good one to camp at overnight with your van if you are every back in the Galloway Forest Park.

Great vlog guys as always, don't understand if you have to book for that air, you would have thought you would have got a code for the padlock on the gate! Instead of being able to drive on, park up then only to be told the pitch has been booked!! Don't make sense! All the best with your scotland adventures all our love Dave and Bonita
I think that’s it. The sign on the gate didn’t indicate that it was a bookable site at all, simply stating that if there are less than 5 motorhomes parked up, then you are free to stay. It’s unusual to pitch up and then have to move on. Glad you enjoyed the vlog xx
Tip for film choice. Put your choice of film on a piece of paper fold it and watch the film that's pulled out of a tin,hat etc.then there'll be no arguments for a few more choices either as you pull another piece of paper out of tin.

@Touringwiththekids it good as we live in big rv so we panic with narrow roads like youse x
hello truckers
Hey!!
I’ve watched a few of your videos regarding Scottish trips but you both don’t have anything nice to say about Scotland
I’m not sure you’ve watched this video properly, it literally starts with us talking about a wee Scottish town called Kirkcudbright where we used to live. Plus lots of other beautiful parks up.
U said same about roads in Ireland?u just gotta accept wha ur driving is old has old shock absorbers, so u gonna feel every bump n grind on road ! Stop whining
We drive through loads of countries so always comment on the roads wherever we go 👍 the lorry is a 2016 plate, not old ☺️
