I've just turned 68 and really felt the need to return to yoga. I last did it seriously in my 20s. Your video is so easy to follow and I wasn't feeling pressured to do postures I found difficult to achieve. I think this will become a regular part of my life. I feel energized. Thank you.
I so missed Hatha Yoga! Every studio I went to only did a power yoga which I suppose can be great exercise but THIS - is what real yoga is about to me and something I feel my body has craved in order to be more open, mindful, free, and loving. Oh , and , I'm not sure if you know ,but I was diagnosed with liver disease about 2ish years ago. It was given to me at birth , I just started showing signs later in my life. I am now in the advanced stages of the illness. It's a progressive illness , and the only way that I am going to survive is to get a liver transplant and I am still not on the list. So , I've been absent to yoga for a while ( I've been practicing with you for years ). And I'm slowly trying to get back ( if it's possible ) so the fact that I was able to complete this practice was a HUGE accomplishment. Thank you again. Hatha Yoga is the Yoga for me! I haven't done yoga seriously for over 10 years and have been feeling a need and desire to return to it. I loved it! I am 55 and was diagnosed with lumbar osteoporosis last year. Since then, I started doing strength training twice a week, and walk 5 of the 7 days for 45 min each day. However, I have been looking for the right yoga class to complement my exercise routines. Your class was easy to follow and I felt safe. I am so happy that I found you. Thank you!
This is the video I chose to reconnect with my self through Yoga. After 4 months of loosing my Mom to COVID-19, after 2 months of quitting my job as a Physician, and 1 month after moving across the Continent... I moved to Argentina, but aside from finding dear friends who I am grateful for, I found EXTREME Government restrictions with the excuse of pandemics, and I've lived 2 dark water floods in the apartment I moved into... not until Today I had the floors completely clean, and not until today I was able to buy a Yoga mat (or anything I coudl throw my self over the floor), no getting a bike, no parks, no yoga mat... no healthy food markets open... all this because of government restrictions due to covid...... Basically no exercise or yoga to get me through the worse month of my life... just meditation... So, I came to this video, coz I almost didn't know how to start over-.... AND NOW I AM SSOOOO SOO HAPPY, SO GLAD I DID. This IS THE YOGA CLASS I WAS CRAVING FOR. My Body needed it so much. I´m so gratefull to be able to be on the floor again, I'll never be able to THANK YOU enough BRETT LARKIN. NAMASTE.
I love this video and totally understand the Sun/Moon element of Hatha now I have practiced for 3 days in a row. The Sun element lets me feel like I am engaged and active sometimes straining, while the Moon element gives me a little space to relax and lets me know how I am doing. It's the perfect balance to keep me coming back every day, not too intense and not too boring. Thank you Brett.

I think this was the best Yoga video i have ever seen. Im 67 now. I first learned Hatha Yoga in the 70's. I have tried other types but this always works best. I am recovering from an illness (not serious, just long! lol) that kept me in bed most of this past winter/spring. Im starting to feel good again and its always nice when I can add yoga back into my life. It will aid in my complete recovery and getting my strength and energy back! thanks for a great video! (my cat had fun watching me!)
This yoga session is excellent! The poses, the transitions, and the time spent holding the poses are perfect. I enjoy Hatha yoga not only because of the improved strength and flexibility, but because research has shown that holding these poses over time actually increases bone density over time (all things we lose as we age). So thank you so much for this great session!
Good morning, I have really enjoyed sampling quite a few of your videos and love the Hatha Yoga Flow 30 minute. I am in the UK and this is during Covid-19 lock down. I'm 70 but fairly fit as I used to teach aerobics (many years ago) and I'm a gym and attend both Pilates and Body Balance classes - but everything here is closed now. I absolutely love your attention to every detail Brett and your relaxing and lyrical instruction . Thank you for keeping me company, helping with my mindfulness and keeping my body strong during these difficult times. I will most definitely keep watching and following long after lock down. Namaste
I found this video really useful for learning about each pose. I’ve must have done yoga about 20 times but I’ve been doing a lot of the poses incorrectly. The invisible “balance” to each of the poses were explained nicely. Very helpful and love the way you explain each pose and stretch as “exploring” or “deeply rooting yourself to the earth.” Much love.

When I started taking yoga classes at Reach Fitness, over 20 years ago, Hatha was the primary yoga option taught. Now when I need to focus on core and flexibility Hatha is an excellent practice to center from.

I'm 71, not a beginner but since retiring 7 yrs ago I've had time to deepen my practice. Hatha is my preferred "style" as I enjoy the longer holds - I also enjoy yin. Very nice to come back to basics, the foundation, in this class.

I did the Vinyasa yesterday and came to Hatha today. I loved Vinyasa but this was really wonderful as well. I went through this series last year but it is so amazing how much more in tune I am now than when I first began yoga. It constantly changes as I practice. Of course day to day is always different but I am so in love with yoga and what it has done for my mind as well as my body. I am going to go on to the next one tomorrow. I enjoyed this, I think it is always important to find that balance between pushing and letting go and it helps me tune out distractions/other thoughts and focus solely on what my body is doing!
Day one and my first Hatha Yoga class! I absolutely loved it! I would say this is my favorite style because I loved the slow gentle transitions but I am definitely going to try the other 4 before I commit. I love the way you teach Brett. You are very easy to understand and follow and I loved that you encourage listening to one's body and not pushing. As a beginner I am quite a way from mastering downward dog ( and other poses) but was able to do the majority of this lesson. Thank you!
I love this session. I am 62 and I used to do a lot of Hatha Yoga when I was younger. Unfortunately I let my practice slip for years but have now decided to pick it up again as part of my health regime . This is a perfect daily session to get me back into practice again. Thank you

i found out this short Hatha routine and I am hooked! I have been doing it for a week now, just to get back to yoga after a minor injury. It's the very first time that i grasp the idea of intensity/Sun softness/Moon balance which is key quality for Hatha. Thank you!

Thank you for such a wonderful practice! My best friend suggested to me that I attempt Hatha. And this was my first time. I absolutely enjoyed. I felt disappointed that it wasn't longer! lol I was enjoying myself so much with this practice. I feel calm yet open and stretched. And I feel at peace. Thank you for light, wisdom, and love. It has definitely has touched me. I will be looking for longer Hatha videos.
I have found that Hatha is the style for me! I need to spend some time in each pose to let my muscles relax into the pose, but I also want to practice movement and active stretching. Hatha truly is the perfect balance!

I've just tried this for the first time. I'm new to yoga. I enjoyed it although it was a challenge. I hope in time the poses will become easier as I get more flexible as I struggled through a lot of it. I'll stick to it. I recently started meditation and despite stretching/lifting/doing muay thai, I found this was not enough for beginning poses/sessions i'm doing. After finding short/easy meditation video of Brett's, I was lucky enough to find this video after deciding a daily yoga routine would be best for me. didn't want a super long video as i'm pretty active/busy with other exercise and this was perfect. I've started doing in the morning after my normal/lifting stretch routine and follow up with the short meditation stretch prior to my meditation routines. Brett also has a nice meditation video and luckily sits in Burmese position which is my preferred. Cheers to helpful people/videos like this to help wellness goals!

Thank you for the practice today. I just felt it needed much more attention and direction around the breath in order to yolk together my mind and body with my breath. I'm 71, not a beginner but since retiring 7 yrs ago I've had time to deepen my practice. Hatha is my preferred "style" as I enjoy the longer holds - I also enjoy yin. Very nice to come back to basics, the foundation, in this class.
Such a great relaxing yet empowering session. My local yoga studio recently closed so I had been trying to find classes online. I will definitely be trying more of your classes. Namaste

I did the Vinyasa yesterday and came to Hatha today. I loved Vinyasa but this was really wonderful as well. I went through this series last year but it is so amazing how much more in tune I am now than when I first began yoga. It constantly changes as I practice. Of course day to day is always different but I am so in love with yoga and what it has done for my mind as well as my body. I am going to go on to the next one tomorrow. I love this Hatha class. I need more Hatha since my shoulder and neck no longer will allow fast paced vinyasa or power yoga. Can't even do chaturanga anymore. Thanks again for this great class. :)

Day one and my first Hatha Yoga class! I absolutely loved it! I would say this is my favorite style because I loved the slow gentle transitions but I am definitely going to try the other 4 before I commit. I love the way you teach Brett. You are very easy to understand and follow and I loved that you encourage listening to one's body and not pushing. As a beginner I am quite a way from mastering downward dog ( and other poses) but was able to do the majority of this lesson. Thank you!

I love this session. I am 62 and I used to do a lot of Hatha Yoga when I was younger. Unfortunately I let my practice slip for years but have now decided to pick it up again as part of my health regime . This is a perfect daily session to get me back into practice again. Thank you

Thank you for such a wonderful practice! My best friend suggested to me that I attempt Hatha. And this was my first time. I absolutely enjoyed. I felt disappointed that it wasn't longer! lol I was enjoying myself so much with this practice. I feel calm yet open and stretched. And I feel at peace.

I have found that Hatha is the style for me! I need to spend some time in each pose to let my muscles relax into the pose, but I also want to practice movement and active stretching. Hatha truly is the perfect balance!

I've just tried this for the first time. I'm new to yoga. I enjoyed it although it was a challenge. I recently started meditation and despite stretching/lifting/doing muay thai, I found this was not enough for beginning poses/sessions i'm doing. After finding short/easy meditation video of Brett's, I was lucky enough to find this video after deciding a daily yoga routine would be best for me. didn't want a super long video as i'm pretty active/busy with other exercise and this was perfect. I've started doing in the morning after my normal/lifting stretch routine and follow up with the short meditation stretch prior to my meditation routines. Brett also has a nice meditation video and luckily sits in Burmese position which is my preferred. Cheers to helpful people/videos like this to help wellness goals!

"power styles" were never meant for the ordinary populace! Ashtanga style was for young men - hence warrior postures.
