Gen X , as kids, if we came home past dark our parents would have passed out and locked the door. We would just sleep in a snow cave or the carcass of a dead cow. That’s where they got the idea for the scene in Star Wars because it was so relatable to 8 year olds. 🤪😂
They have school on Monday. That means they have study and homework to do. Everything is online now. They can’t call their parents and tell them that they’re okay. We don’t have pay phones anymore.
Oh for gods sake. These pampered little puppies are not having to hide in a dark, freezing basement in a bombed out building in a some Ukrainian city. Poor things can't surf Insta. , TikTok, or whatever. Life is "just so unfair." How about great thoughts and gratitude for the men and women out in the weather and wind for hours on end, trying to get our power back on. Bless each and every one of them.
I feel sad for people who caught in a bad situation. I remember like it was yesterday. My husband and I had our house fire on Christmas Eve, and fire started from Woods Stove. We lost everything. My husband got third-degree burns. Thanks to the fire department for help to put out the fire, but unable to safe the house. Also thanks to medics, nurses and doctors in Aberdeen WA and at Harborview for doing their best. Thanks to financial department for helping us. My husband still has ongoing surgery. ❤, 🙏 & ✌️.
Let's remember that the 'Pulse Poll' that you guys featured at the end of this video doesn't account for people that don't have internet service right now. And that's a ton of people that would probably vote that they are not prepared for an extended power outage, but they aren't able to even see this poll. People making fun of college kids (young adults) is pretty lame. They’re young and from different states. I didn’t go to college but I bet it’s a lot going on for them. Growing up I had to learn in real life situations. I doubt they’ll act like this the next time around. They have to learn! Quit being tools!

Welfare Checks as in Parents calling someone to check in on their students staying on campus. Not unreasonable if they haven't been able to get in touch with their kids.
I'm just laughing my head off at the weak, wimpering generation we raised. I went to college in the mid 1980s. Power went out? You're on your own. Figure it out. Now we have over-privledge, catered to kids, who if honestly left to their own devices would figure it out too. They've made it to college. Let them use their own thinking skills to deal with the matter. Real life will make them more prepared then pampering will.
Why are you rescuing almost adults? I'm sure they will be fine. Let them learn how to survive in not so good conditions. Rescuing kids are almost grown is ridiculous. I mean, really people are something else, let them grow up, they're not gonna die. Those colleges are doing what they can to help them. They need to learn how to endure. What are you gonna do when you're gone? We rescue our kids from too much stuff too much. I have two sons nope i would definitely stay in contact but college no i want my kids to learn how to endure when it even is hard sometimes u can't rescue them from every thing because it gets hard im glade my young adult sons know how to endure to stand even when its tough so they no how to take care of a family of their own lorty
