Unfortunately I grew up with zero financial literacy. Went to the gulf and all I learnt is to save in FDs. A very poor choice. Akshat Shrivastava is a superb success story within a matter of 14 years. Travels the world with his family. I hope the current generation becomes aware of the opportunities that are currently available to be on F.I.R.E.

Hey @wilfredfranco everyone has their own financial choices and cannot be compared. If you missed it in your initial days, you still have time to create a framework that will help you in the future.

@@AnilKumar-gw3vt thank you Anil, however I am already 60 now. It's late for investment. I should have been enjoying the fruits now. I hope my children understand and use this opportunity to grow. In the final years of school and university these concepts must be available to everyone.

@@wilfredfranco4159 Thank you for the quick reply, but as you said in your statement can I ask you a question. As a parent, how comfortable were you to openly talk about money and investment-related activities with your children?

@@AnilKumar-gw3vt My son is 25 years now. He doesn't listen to me and my advice. I have been forwarding him these YT gems that I find. I afraid he will be in the same boat as I am now. The UAE is a very expensive place to live and everything is expensive. These decisions to save for at least the first 15 years will be so beneficial. Unfortunately we never discussed finances with the children as they grew up. I find them a little irresponsible towards spending as a matter of up bringing. I hope better sense will prevail towards finances and savings, investment and frugal living.
