I own an F40 118i M Sport in Sapphire Black and it's a fantastic premium hatchback. Far better than the Latest Audi A3 (which I owned previously). In terms of the premium grade small cars on offer now, it's between this and the recently revised Mercedes A Class IMO.
I am renting too an identical one and its fun to drive, quality is good as well, but... the tyre noise is killing me☹️☹️.... i am coming from a Mazda 3 2020 which is much quieter. I dont understand why for this money (41.000 EUR😔😔) you have a NVH at a Fiat Tipo level...... otherwise a great car.
Should I risk and buy the 24 118i F40 this year or wait for the release of the series 1 F70? Apparently it’s a new gen right? My biggest worry is for the car to lose a significant value and lack interest for that matter in terms of selling it afterwards, as this version will stop production with the F70 I believe
Great video! Thank you for the detailed review. I'm currently waiting for the delivery of the exact same model, 118i M Sport in White, with 23 plates on the 9th of August. This is going to be my first ever BMW, and I'm very excited! Got a good deal for an ex demonstrator with just 6k miles and a free service pack until July 2028.
@@wouter7777 99% of people who tell you BMW's break a lot have no clue what they're talking about or have experience with old worn down cars that weren't maintained properly. The myth of BMW's breaking down is all due to poop people buying a 15 year old BMW with 300,000 km on the clock, can't afford to service it, and then it breaks on them.
I agree the performance is decent, put the car in Sport mode, however, and it feels way more punchy still. Makes the case for the bigger engine models a lot weaker.

hold off for the f70
There will always be a market for the F40. If you buy used, you won't lose much, if anything, when the F70 arrives.
I am waiting
May be the f70 will have a big price increase. There are some really good offers on the f40 at the moment.
When is it coming out?
I love my 120i F40! A really nice and premium car for cheap money!
Great car!
@@SytnerTV Peaople should keep an eye on that car because its much premium for less money..

How is it? Bought one last week for a family member. It's amazing. Drive, interior quality, exterior looks. It's the full package
How much en location please ❤
They may have made the interior a little too good for a 1 series. The car is basically a Mini Cooper with the BMW badge.
How is the engine? Really thinking about getting one but don't know it's reliable or not
It’s a very good engine.
Thanks for answering, just a bit afraid of bmw cause of the high maintenance cost and hearing that they brake down a lot

Great review! No one could review like you did. Amazing. You have eyes too!! WOW. LMFAO
BMW interior are all the same. The engine is what separates for each model
Don’t they use the same engines in different models
It looks more like VW Golf but not VW Polo, not interesting, VW Polo is also a racing car.
Its very much like the a class from mercedes
In that its a hatcback.. like all hatchbacks
