IMO BMW are sadly going very much in the wrong direction here and following bad examples from other manufacturers moving everything to touch screen, yet ensuring driving assistance pro is optional; take your eyes off the road to do something simple, and ensure procedural memory and tactile feedback can no longer be relied upon. I’d happily give up in car gaming for some buttons and physical controls for heating, fan, seat warmers etc. Or at least offer physical controls as an option.
I have had my 2025 X3 M Sport for just under 2 weeks now and TBH there is so much stuff like this loaded - that I will NEVER EVER use........................it's all so pointless and gimmicky. Yet many things I DO use are really tedious to find via the touch screen.
