You have such a special relationship with knitting!! 🥺💖 I’m glad you were able to reclaim that part of your artistic identity in your post-college years and realized how you’ll never let it go again! I too learned SO MUCH about myself once I graduated college - school just consumed me I didn’t know who I was for the longest time! 😮💨
Thank you so much Lisa!! And yes, I feel like a lot of people can relate honestly - it's so easy to know exactly what to focus on to be successful in school, vs. after graduating you have a lot more free time to think about what you want from life. It's such a great experience to rediscover yourself in your 20s though :')
Your parents reading knitting books to you and your mom saving your blog posts - my heart! 💘 And you and Cassidy with the Designer's Challenge takes me back!! I remember when you posted that you were quitting your knitting blog 😥 but like I totally understood with school, etc. (Had to write some thoughts before I finished the video...but I'm sure I'll have more 😂)
I think it's an important realization that just because you fell in love with something in your childhood doesn't mean you have to abandon it in later life. ❤ I was so excited when you came back to knitting - and consequently, posting about it - because I had always enjoyed following along with your creative adventures. And it's fun to see how those have changed and shifted later on, but definitely worth sticking around for! 💖
Thank you so much, Rebekah! I'm also so glad we were friends back in the day and were able to reconnect when I rediscovered knitting - I really appreciate your friendship & support of everything I do
Omg how sweet that your mom saved your blog! ❤
it seriously is, I really appreciate it more than she knows 😭
