Not much of a change but at least they're trying to address the heating issues. I haven't had mine in the Texas heat, yet, but it's a comin'! Thanks for the update!
I am looking at these and of course the BMW 1250....I like the Super Tenere too actually but the lack of power there is a turn off. A couple of questions. Has anyone had issues with the radiator getting swamped with crap? it looks like the short fender and unprotected radiator might be an issue. 2nd how often is a chain adjustment needed? The shaft drive seems like a plus to me but the valve situation on the Harley is clearly a plus too. I have not been able to ride one yet so that is upcoming but my fear is the radiator which no test drive will show me.
Why didn't Harley make a cat heat shield that works with the heavy duty bash plate? The Pan America really needs a cat heat shield as the heat given off on a hot summer day is very bad. I suggest that doing the right thing for customers got scrapped when the bean counters got involved as the only way to make things work was to redesign the heavy duty bash plate to create some real estate for the heat shield spacing/clamps.
You really think the heat shield HD is now equipping will make any drastic change in heat coming off the cat? The only way to dramatically reduce the heat is to remove the cat
I just took a test drive on the 2023 special. After just a few miles at about 70 degrees outside, the heat from the exhaust pipe was getting uncomfortable on my right leg..
@@rodamu2908 Wearing shin high motorcycle boots is the trick to mitigating feeling the heat. Just saying, unfortunately, that's not always our desired choice, especially riding shorter distances and/or commuting around town.

Little by little
As someone who broke those windshield mounts on day 3 I am intrigued.
I’m going to retrofit that fan heat shield to my ’21 PAS… hopefully it will help.
Looks pretty simple
thanks for the info

The radiator is very heavy duty, not very high on my concern list.
Can you post the part numbers for the windshield springs and left side heat deflector?
No, you can call your local dealership for that info. The springs aren't on the EPC. It's interesting.
@@hotel-delta they said they didn't have 23' book yet
Tell them to pull parts off the EPC for the heat shield. It's in there.
@@hotel-delta 10-4 I will thank's
Sorry, I could post part numbers but it might come back on me. Don't want that, but the info is available to the dealers for sure. Good luck!

I believe the heat shield for the cat does work with the skid plate, it's just not necessary
@@hotel-delta I have the Harley Davidson heavy duty skid plate and I tell you, a heat shield is necessary.
