I am learning Spanish by myself since that it is not part of the curriculum in my school.
In my country, it is very rare to meet a Spanish-speaking guy to talk to.
But i am still eager to learn Spanish. I'd like it to be my third language, just next to English. English is my second.
Spanish is the language of the future!
Charlie Pace hey im a spanish native speaker, you can talk with me if you want

Sebastian Paredes he also said that English is his second language, so he’s not from Australia.
I am learning spanish because I meet lots of spanish speaking people at my salsa classes, and I listen to lots of spanish-language music.. I also like how it sounds - I think it sounds nicer than english.

I really loved your video. I'm from india. When I first started learning spanish everyone said it's no use/nothing will come out of it. I learned spanish to understand what my favorite singer's are singing/just for fun. Now I have plenty of reason thanks to you☺😀😄. It's a great language to learn. And I'm glad that i am still learning it.No regrets
+riverrb me gusta😊😄😄😊 la musíca de DVICIO(love his voice) y Becky G(lyrics are out of the world). ¿qué te gusta? I'm watching spanish videos with subtitles at the moment and can form basic sentences. Learned the conjugation.¡¡¡ Tiene algun conseja para mejorar!!!
+sahil kashyap You can see movies, series or youtubers in Spanish, that's what I did to learn english

When I started learning Spanish I didn't know there were so many speakers of this language.I'm happy I study it

Also is just so full of regionalisms that makes it so rich. There are a lot of reasons to learn spanish, i really hope people will be interested in learning it :)

The advantage of being a native Spanish speaker is that when you're able to dominate quite perfect english language, you are already speaking the two most useful and spoken languages. Just count all the native Spanish and English speaker countries around the world!
Greetings from Spain and I'm glad that you appreciate so much our language!😆♥️🇪🇸
Vivo en suecia, y en mi escuela its mandatory to read a b-language (unless tou struggle with swedish and english). We read swedish (ofc) and english (starting in 3rd grade((10 years old)) ) tengo catorce años y en otoño last year i started learning spanish and i dont regret it a single bit! Im not great but i have learnt alot in just a couple of months! Goooo!!! I have spanish 3 times a week for 40minutes-1 hour!
spanish speakers also are in north america , mexico is part of north america but most people think only the US and canada are the only counties in north america :(
naokyuuketsuki064 I know :)
naokyuuketsuki064 Mexico is not part of north America.
***** yes it is, search it in a world map or take a basic geography class
Spanish is FO NE TIK, haha so true! Great video. I love your enthusiasm for the language. I LOVE SPANISH TOO, hehe.
Haha! :) Hi Ross! Thanks for watching! Glad my enthusiasm came across - I may love Spanish just a little bit!! :D
In fact, we spaniards often have problems when it comes to the pronunciation when speaking in English. We find it hard to remember the particular pronunciation, because we find the lack of a real rule confusing. We pronounce each vowel always the same, but in English it varys.
Victor Almohalla I'm not surprised - English pronunciation is a little all over the place! :)
Yes, sometimes it sounds like we are speaking a completeley diffferent language.

I from colombia, 🇨🇴 I am currently studying English, but I wanted to have fun watching people trying to learn Spanish.
Yo utoally convinced me to dig up my Spanish and try again haha
But I guess I should try to graduate first? and then more language learning! :D
Yay! Haha, yes,ok! I don't want to be responsible for distracting you from your studies! ;)
Mexico is not South America, nor is it central america (maybe sometimes it's classified as central america or mesoamerica) Mexico is North America. NORTH AMERICA. It's ok, you didn't know, its a common mistake, but actually Mexico is the 3rd largest North American country, it has the 2nd largest population and 2nd largest economy in North America. It is part of the NAFTA, the NORTH AMERICAN Free Trade Agreement. But otherwise, your video was good.
Very good video. Very good and informative I think you covered all the good points on why someone should learn this language. I'm a Mexican and my native language is Spanish, I also uploaded a video like yours but like well over a year ago, you should watch it. It's called "Why learn Spanish? Reasons to learn Spanish"
/watch?v=NScdZHSVnVs
Thank you for clearing that up! Sorry if I offended you. :)
I guess technically Central America is also considered North America in terms of continents, right?
Amazing that Mexico has the 2nd largest economy in North America! Does that mean Canada is third?
Thanks for watching and commenting! Will check out your video! :)
Its ok lol. I just find it annoying that people say Mexico is south america.mesoamerica is what would be like from central mexico (mexico city area) down to Panama. Central American countries are collectively considered part of North America too, but yeah its OK haha no biggie. I just wanted to let you know. Mexico is the 2nd largest economy in North America larger than Canada, yeah that makes Canada 3rd because Mexico has a much larger population. Mexico I would say is kind of like China or India (only less extreme) where they have a large economy but that's because they have a large population. The wages suck though.
Thank you if you can watch my video that'd be great. =D
Of course though culturally even though Mexico is geographically in North America, I think we share more in common with say Colombia or Peru, or Ecuador even Brazil, than the USA & Canada. There are times such as going from El Paso (USA) to Juarez (Mexico) will make you feel like you just crossed a different continent, but though there are many similarities too. The USA and Mexico, especially the southwestern US and northern Mexico share things in common such as history and culture, and of course in more recent decades major cities and touristy areas have gotten more americanized too.
Ah yeah and also if you haven't been to Mexico or well just about anywhere in Latin America I encourage you to go. In Mexico, the people are really friendly and welcoming and of course great food and music.
Antonio Maldonado Don't worry! I would never say Mexico is in South America! (I did write + Central America on the video to cover Mexico to Panama).
I have spent 3 months in Costa Rica which is a fantastic country and I'm travelling big time in a couple of years when I've finished studying and will definitely be doing the whole of South and Central America. :)
Thats great. Costa Rica and Panamá sound like beautiful places and those are two places in central America where I'd like to go. I even like their names I get pleasant thoughts just hearing their names (same with Puerto Rico), I think of a green, tropical place, margaritas, beach, and lots of flora and fauna
It's cool that you learn our language!!! I mean, the most languages we get to know, the most people we get to meet, and that's great. Nice video. ♥
Cali Axfer Thank you! I'm glad you like the video! :)
Buen video.

Hi! I agree that Spanish is very important. Though, about Italian: I think that a good Spanish speaker only needs to know a handful rules and words to get the meaning of an Italian conversation. And also the opposite is true - I can say this because I'm Italian.
Yes! I completely agree with you Federico Razzoli :) Knowing Spanish before I learnt Italian definitely helped me a lot. With that in mind, have you subscribed? Because I think you'll enjoy this week's video...I don't want to give away too much, but there's a link between this comment and the next video! ;)
Lindsay Dow I did it now. I like your videos, and I'm using them to improve my English listening comprehension. I am still a beginner with languages! :)

Excellent reasons, I liked it when you say that spanish is phonetic, That does not happen in english (I am learning this last one and is Fairly tough because It is not phonetic), Good Video, I am subscribed.

(I speak Spanish as a native language and I loved the video)
I started learning Spanish last year, because my family encouraged me to. They thought that I should learn another language (I already know English and German almost fluently) and in my hometown I could take up Spanish or French, but I don't really like the latter. This turned out to be a great idea, seriously. My teacher, a native Spaniard, is awesome, just like this language! ❤️
Me cae bien esta inglesa
I love your spanish
¡Gracias! :)
Alejandro Cardozo I don't. A matter of fact I don't like Spanish at all.

I study spanish from may 2016 and I started learning it because I thought it give good image on you if you are fluent in more then one language .. , well also beacuase I sister used to take spanish classes but she doesnt do that no more jaja.. ok then I found more of her notes and also searched youtube for spanish leasons and found quite alot of those.. and later on I went at the book store I bought text books and really started to indulge my self in language learnig.. and I I just do exercise for vocab. from my notebook.. and there hard so times and most of the times I dont even get it right away even if I look in a diccionary so at the same time learn some new english words as well. Apart from that a listen and I mean I listen a lot reggeaton musicos such as: nicky jam,Yandel, dady yanke, chino y nacho,maluma,JBalvin.. and electro latino: como JUAN MAGAN hes my idol jeje. although sometimes I just watch some videos of youtubes speaking spanish :) . Ok now tells talk about the other why well Ive met a lot of hispanic friends from all around the world and I talk to them dayly and Im planning so visit some of them.. and the other Idea is to go and move in some place that speaks spanish so Mi más preferida sería : Republica Dominicana pues no sé para que pero seguro que tiene que hacer algo con ello que acá vive mi idolo jaja vamo a acecharle :D bromeando un poquito jeje. además quisiera vivir allá porque es una país las más hermosas playas del mundo que siempre está soleado y caliente :) Un saludo/ Regards

I'm from brazil and i speak portuguese as you probably know. There are a lot of similarities between the two languages (more than you think). Let's begin with:
Razon numero 1 (uno) (ES) - Razão número 1 (um) (PT/BR). It's almost the same pronunciation
Levi Lima This is true! Have you seen my latest video? I actually did 9 Reasons to Learn Portuguese!
I'm a native Spanish speaker, your Spanish is very good!. keep on with the good job! :)
Hi Lindsay! I really love your videos and blogs and stufs about languages. I would interested in a video about reasons to learn Hungarian. I'm Hungarian and I teach Hungarian and German. So would you please or could you make such a video? I would really appreciate it. Thank you! *.*
I speak Portuguese and it's pretty close to Spanish, so when you learn Portuguese you practically get a high level in Spanish language or if you're gonna learn Spanish you're gotta get a high level in Portuguese language...then go on to learn the most beautiful languages on the world!!
If you are interested in learning languages you should come to Los Angeles City. There are lots of academies and universities that offer studying foreign languages plus there are lots of communities in town to practice. English, Spanish, Korean, Tagalo, Chinese ( Mandarin & Cantonese), Farsi, Arabic, Hebrew, etc not to mention some indigenous languages or dialects such as Maya. Also UCLA offers courses on “ dead” languages such as Ancient Greek and Ancient Egyptian.

Because it is awesome!
I already speak portuguese, so spanish is pretty easy for me.
+Larissa de Abreu Cool! It is indeed awesome :)
I study Spanish all by myself, it's not a part of my school.studies or curriculum or anything. It's rare to meet even a foreigner in my place, let alone Spanish- speaking.
I was just bored one day when I heard a Spanish song and I liked the way it sounded. So I decided to learn Spanish. Without any reason, I'm still eager to learn it for some reason. I guess boredom can make you do crazy things
Has ganado mi corazón por este vídeo. Way too adorable ;)
Tomás Martínez Roeske Aww! haha. Thanks! :)
