- In 2008, Revolver's blog (remember those?) MetalKult caught up with Buzz Osborne in Brooklyn, where he was crashing at his buddy Mr. Bungle/Fantômas/Tomahawk bassist Trevor Dunn's place while the Melvins were in town on tour. The occasion for the meeting was the 15-year anniversary of the Melvins' fifth studio album, 1993's 'Houdini,' and Buzzo invited us over to discuss the making of that seminal record, which was co-produced by Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and featured such standout tracks as "Hooch," "Honey Bucket," "Copache" and a ripping cover of Kiss' "Goin' Blind."
I dont understand why people think hes jealous, dont get that vibe at all from him in this clip or any other.
This man has so much character. This, folks, is how you mourn.
He has a very sobering view of the grunge movement and certainly the most qualified to speak on it.
the people who get angry over this are likely the same people who bought into all the grunge marketing
The three Melvins releases from that era, are A M A Z I N G! Stoner Witch, Houdini, Stag, In that order!
Cobain is a Legend And Buzzy is not , sour grapes , Speaking of looks which he seems to associate with Kurts success what about Black Francis? he was never exactly an oil painting and struggled with his weight i.e a Fat Albert type and? is also a Musical Legend very well respected by Everyone
If Kurt Cobain looked like Fat Albert, Nirvana would've sold exactly as many copies. In fact, I probably would've liked them more. The Melvins have never written anything as good as the worst songs on Nevermind/In Utero.
He misses his friend
Hatts off to Buzzo. Sharpened tongue everybody says, but he goes straight to the spine of the things.

Of course looks have to do with it. Kurt was super attractive
Nirvana are one of my favorite bands but I'd much prefer if Nirvana never existed if that would mean Kurt could still be alive today. The issue with that is that music is what kept Cobain alive for the time he was, and he would have resorter to heroin regardless due to his stomach problems.
