@Egemen Ozan That's because you're dealing with a pro. Although it probably wasn't too greasy, usually he says so if it is, but it may have had some sweet sauce on it that he did not want to get on his desk or whatever that is.
It's all about presentation and the container could be dirty.
When you're using a table or desk that doesn't have a tablecloth you would never want to put it directly on the wood in case it leaked etc.

Yes, i agree with you totally. It's probably the left over dough (that would otherwise be binned) gets wrapped around cookies just to make a few bucks with a badly thought out dessert. Easy for PJs to freeze and fry up as required. Cheap and nasty idea.

It's always disappointing when pizza chains use their pizza dough in a dessert. It never works.
I find fruit pizza acceptable. Talking about a pizza dough/fruit pie filling combo, not a homemade pie with cream cheese sauce and fresh fruit. I don't know of anywhere to get one anymore. I believe Pizza Hut used to have apple cinnamon and cherry on the buffet.
But this sounds disgusting.
@@bcaye Yes, there are some local places that still do dessert pizzas and they can be pretty good.
Papa Murphy's has a decent dessert pizza selection. They do S'mores and Cinnamon which actually go pretty well with the dough.

My takeaway: food poisoning is preferable to a Papa John's, Papa Bowl
I like the papa bowls. What’s the problem? It’s just pizza toppings without the crust. I don’t need the extra carbs when I’m trying to lose weight, and in my very particular situation, with a half-hour lunch break and a Papa John’s next door, and snow and ice on the ground, I don’t feel like switching into my snow boots to go down the street to Wendy’s.
I just found my new favorite papa bowl. Alfredo AND marinara, two doses of chicken, some spinach and black olives, topped with parm cheese.

I was surprised to find out that’s supposed to be a dessert. From the thumbnail that literally looked like pizza bites stuffed with cheese and mushrooms which sounds tastier than what the product actually turned out being.
I thought the same thing. Mushrooms, cheese, with a creamy sauce would have been way better.

I've made deep fried oreos at home. Heat up peanut oil, make some pancake mix, dunk oreos in the mix, deep fry both sides for roughly 30 seconds each. Perfect.
How you deep frying something if you have to do the sides of an Oreo seperately? That's shallow frying lol

My favorite Oreo dessert these days is adding crushed Oreos to semi-soft Talenti Coffee and Chocolate Chip ice cream. I set it back in the freezer long enough for the Oreos to soften and oh man. It's so freaking good.

Like you said, the Papa bowl, that was a terrible idea. This seemed a similar idea to me, thinking too far outside the box. Just make good Pizza man ! You are a pizza place, just do Pizza really well and keep making it better.
I’m still wondering whether I’d like the bowls. Marco’s Pizza has bowls and I rather like them. I’m avoiding carbohydrates and so pizza without a crust is something I can sort of have. Occasionally. The fat from the cheese and meat does just stay in the bowl, and I don’t mind that but perhaps Reviewbrah would find it disgusting in the Marco’s version too…

Yeah I don't hate on Papa John's like everybody else just because it's the cool thing to do, but when it comes to the Papa Bowls, I do have to hate on them. Really is just no-good slop like Brah said in his review, I believe.
I mean, if McDonalds just stuck to hamburgers and cheeseburgers....imagine how boring a trajectory/path that would have been for them? No Chicken Selects or McFlurrys or McRibs. That would suck. But yeah I get it, do what you do well. Guess pizza places are more restricted as to what they can come out with anyways.

I recently tried my Oreo cookies with water instead of milk, per your recommendation. I found it satisfying.
Where I live in the United States, we do deep fry Oreos along with other things like Twinkies, Snickers bars and such. I can assure you that pizza dough is not involved in the process. There is a batter items are dipped in. These desserts are good tasting. The geniuses at Papa John's couldn't figure it out? 😲
The deep-fried Mars bar is a speciality where I live in Scotland UK. I've never been brave enough to try it 😂 I thought it was a joke when I heard the words "pizza dough" and "Oreos" together, I still can't imagine how this would ever work?!

@@heroinboblivesagain5478 Not sure if sarcasm, but its just pancake batter you put in the fridge for a few hours, i sometimes do it a day in advance. If you don't put it in the fridge, it doesn't stick well to the oreos.

Pizza dough like that should never be used in a sweet pastry. I know a small amount of salt is used in sweet deserts to enhance flavor, but too much salt can throw the flavor completely off.

There’s a small restaurant chain in Connecticut called Duchees. It’s an old school short order spot that offers Burgers, hotdogs, soup, breakfast sandwiches, etc. They also offer fried Oreos. They are bangin!! Papa should take his cream cheese dipping sauce and send it to Duchess. Stick to pizza and let places with fryers handle the Oreos.
My favourite Oreos are the golden ones, and throughout this video I was trying to imagine what they would taste like if eaten as a pizza topping. Every thought I had was horrible.
I think if I try the golden Oreos they’ll be nasty as shit, but then again I haven’t so I have no right to judge you lol. My favorite ones are the double stuf original.
