What an unbelievably beautiful bike, with a paint job like that every time a stone flicks up and hits it during the tour a giant £ sign should appear as the paint alone probably costs as much as a new hot hatchback. Can you do a video on what the bikes look like at the end of the tour or even mid tour, keen to see the kind of wear and tear they go through at such high speeds, wattages and varied terrain. I think the paint shop might think me crazy if I ask them for that paint job on my RC120 :)
Drop dead gorgeous! I want one...but then the Human Garbage in the neighborhood would steal that, too. They just stole my $3,700 used dark purple Cannondale.
talking about the cadence in regards to the crank arm length, could you do a gcn tech video on the impact of crank length on cadence and other cycling stats?
I do love this oil slick finish... a la Gary Klein... but I swear I saw a CHROME TREK in today's stage... with oil slick TREK decals... that looked sick as f*ck. (How do you chrome plate carbon???)
This bike was really easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Sorry to correct you. But that may be the case in Germany, but in the UK it's pronounced as Simon does. Lidl themselves even say it like that in their own UK adverts. Different country, different language
It appears that there are so many hired people to make fake compliment comments in here to hype up the bad bike design. To the no engineer people, this Trek Madone is a worse design in the market including the previous version. There is no real license engineer in the world would approve this dangerous design including the previous version. You can get killed riding this bike at any moment & I have proofs.
The new sponsor is definetly called not liddle :) Lidl. -> German pronunciation: [ˈliːdl̩] LEE-dəl); UK: /ˈlɪdəl/ LID-əl). Lidl is a family name from the southwestern region of Germany. However, the TREK bikes are absolute amazing.
This might be THE MOST beautiful bike I've ever seen.
Wow that is one big claim! It's pretty special though 🙌
Now imagine the old madone without this ugly seatpost
lol ok
True
true
gorgeous paint job on that one
It's really something right! 🙌
Love the paint work done on this bike
A thing of pure beauty
The frame style will grow on me but this looks more aero than a Lamborghini, awesome colours.💯👌🏻
That thing is exquisite
I’m not sure what I think about Treks anymore, but that’s a gorgeous paint job on that Madone.
I think if this was the paint job featured in the Madone's debut, it would have wowed a lot more and really made a big impression.
Thanks Seth, nice commentary, awesome bike!!!
Mads always shows up on some crazy looking bikes
All the attention for this color way but the diamond chrome one is it for me 🤌

Fantastic paint job
What a beauty!
I couldn't ride that. It's too beautiful. How would it feel if it gets scratched?
That is one magnificent TREK Madone bike 👍 Au
So Beautiful!
5:49 "That's a loud one!" ...to match the chrome colors of course ;)
Drop dead gorgeous! I want one...but then the Human Garbage in the neighborhood would steal that, too. They just stole my $3,700 used dark purple Cannondale.
An absolute work of art. 🔥
Any idea if that beauty get any protective clear wrap to keep it mint?
The paint looks really cool but the price of the paint ALONE (+$3,500) is way more than I would be willing to spend for an entire frameset.
Coolest bike ever..
Stage 8…Petersen win🎉 riding this beautiful amazing “TREK “ bike 🌍
My dream bike here!!!!!!
talking about the cadence in regards to the crank arm length, could you do a gcn tech video on the impact of crank length on cadence and other cycling stats?
Hi Quinn! How about this video 👉 ua-cam.com/video/E4BpxByalKg/v-deo.html
Now a stage winner bike :)
I do love this oil slick finish... a la Gary Klein... but I swear I saw a CHROME TREK in today's stage... with oil slick TREK decals... that looked sick as f*ck. (How do you chrome plate carbon???)
ICON - Diamond Flake
3.5k and it's yours :)
Your eyes did not deceive you, the Chrome Trek belonged to Quinn Simmons the American rider for Team Trek 🇺🇸 🤘🏽
Great bike review BUT what about weighting it…… guess the team didn’t allow it 🤔
amazing i want my rail be in that color .....
Can the gears and tires be changed on the bike for each stage?
Can they be changed in the middle of a stage if the bike "accidentally" breaks?
They're pros mate, just get a new bike

What height is pederson? Would rather have a shorter head tube and a longer top tube + shorter stem.
What about Captain America silver bullet?
How thin is that bar tape!
Actually it is pronounced "Leetle", but yeah the bike is a masterpiece. It's gonna look awesome when he rewins the rainbow jersey in a couple weeks.
how much is this? is it possible to buy overseas?
These is me like what hub?
MVDP Canyon Aeroad white.
Oooof that is one hot paint job! 👀
Weight?
I don't think he was allowed to tell the weight but I'm guessing 7.5kg.🤔
Nah, well over 8kg with all that fancy paint on.
According to the Trek website, the Madone his a mass of 7.35kg.
@derickcastillo9083 probably in a tiny size, with no pedals, cages or mounts and the lightest paint job.
Sorry for beeing a German wiseass, but LIDL is spoken rather like LEEDLE than LITTLE
Who cares?
@@quwers shut up!
Good, Leedle sounds better. "Little Trek" doesn't have a great ring to it.
Sorry to correct you. But that may be the case in Germany, but in the UK it's pronounced as Simon does. Lidl themselves even say it like that in their own UK adverts. Different country, different language
@@paulmiddlemass6465 in German 'd' is pronounced as 't' and vice-versa
PSA: Its „leedle“ as in needle rather than „little“
Beautiful paint job,but you can keep Trek. The prices are through the roof!
that bike is DIALED in
How much!?
Uhhh don't unscrew bike screws with a drill.. use an impact driver. a drill is primarily used to bore holes
Farce.... Not biggie smalls. Gubbins, bottles......Nice at best.
😮
Incredible bike. But no waxed chain check - Ollie is tearing his aero hair out
Hi Simon @gcn,
just a little help with the correct pronunciation:
Lidl pronounced leedle not like little 👍
Try listening to Lidls own UK adverts and see how they pronounce it in the UK.
And the weight is….?
...👍👍 😉
I had SRAM red on my 6.9SSL Madone and it was garbage. Upgraded to Dura-Ace DI2. Hopefully SRAM got better. Sweet paint job on that bike!
We will see, I'm building an Emonda ALR with SRAM red over next few years
4500 dollars for that paint job, is it worth it?
Quinn Simons chrome one is even better!!!!
And no mention of weight 😂

It must be pretty annoying to have the wahoo pointed towards the ground and away from his face. The glare must be absurd.
weigh them always
Helloooo Hambini fans.
Forgot to remove my kids water bottles
As a German, your pronunciation of Lidl is hurting 😂 beautiful bike, though.
Blame Lidl; that’s the pronunciation they use in advertising in the UK!
You forgot to weigh it!
and Mads was not too happy with the paint, he thinks it is a tractor. because it weighs 200 grams more than the red one
Everything dont have to beautiful because its new. Some of the new bikes are far from it IMHO.
Unpopular take, I don’t like it. And I’m a trek guy and owner of a project one bike. I really don’t like any of their icon paint jobs.
3500 for this paint job makes is ugly.. it needs a prettier prices
Nah, my EUROBIKE still better.
Right Hand rear brakes?🤔🤨 WTF!😡😠
Nope, just you guys who drive on the wrong side of the road ;)
@@jonathanzappala I'm in the British Commonwealth for your information, front brakes is ALWAYS right hand
Well, you've always been weird, so I'd flip that bike on its roof if I borrowed it
The sound of 8 year old boys.
Love the pain! Hate the bike 😬
Nice colour but that seat post thing is going to snap.
Am I the only one that doesn’t like the look, or paint job? 😅
