This colour is great but it can’t be selected through project one? How can I order this? With this frame, it kind of hurts my eyes to see a sram force/red mix and average older wheels 🙈.
@@SymonSaysTV I got this frame as a warranty replacement on top of the gen 6 madone I already had. my company used to sponsor Trek so we get a slight discount on the bikes.

You do realize that it is China built but specifically developed with quality measures of United States. There’s made in China by China and made in China by America.
Nice bike however, if you want it to ride in a group this is the worst bike for pulling. I recently did a 195 mile ride and had the opportunity to pace the windstream od 3 of them. One was my buddy’s bike size 54. At the beginning I thought there must’ve been a tailwind or something, after a guy passed us at like 27mph I followed his stream however after I tucked myself behind him I felt that I was working extra hard, like if there was nobody in front of me pulling. We continued to ride at an average of 24mph for like 4 miles and the guy moved back I was spent and allowed my friend to move forward on his cannondale Caad , big difference I could feel the pull but I was spent. When the other guy decided to move forward, my buddy in the cannondale tried to catch up the swindtream but he was unable to stay on his wheel. So we ended up letting them go. Now we had our guy riding his, but everytime he was supposed to pull we noticed that his bike sucks at pulling. If anyone else has noticed this please confirm. Trek Madone can’t pull.
Thanks for telling us about your experience! I mostly ride solo or a very small group, and the experience so far has been mostly positive. Although this new gen has had some good records in big tours, it is definitely a biased data as the riders are these monstrous pro cyclists lol. Would love to hear others' inputs on this as well.
@@j.a.s.o.n.z.h.a.n.g I just tested one and it’s very weird because when you’re riding it solo the bike goes by itself. But is probably so aerodynamic that there’s no stream left behind, who knows.

I’m enjoying the bike so far ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
My ideology is that you can't always just wait for a "better" one, as the there always will be a newer and perhaps better one the year after. Take what you have for now. I'm pretty happy with this current Madone! Hope this helps

So beautiful to watch.
Man so much tech now! back in my days building bikes were so different, nice vid thanks for sharing!
It's not necessarily a good thing mate.
The frame looks amazing. Like a piece of art. Nice to see the bike coming together, even though the decals on the rims may be a bit much for some.
I took the old wheels from my last bike build as they paired quite well. Surprisingly, the decals also serve quite well as safety reflectors 😂
hideous
Nice build and what a beauty! Very well done video.
Love those grand prix 5000’s
Undoubtedly a work of art in the form of a bike

Why u keep clicking twice on your torque tools? You age them twice as fast, you get around 1000 clicks before needing to send in for adjustment
I think this is a more of a habitual thing as I’ve observed quite a lot of mechanics do, not just on bikes
That seat mast design is kind of a gimmick. Turbulence generated by the legs while pedaling would probably negate any aerodynamic benefit.
or it could be a cover up for the failed ISO speed on the previous madone, which had a pretty bad loosening bolt issue
Exactamundo mate, it's a gimmick for the gullible who have more money than sense.
