Bro you explained that better than anyone on youtube. Thanks so much you made my day.
literally explained every little detail😂🙏🏼
2 years later and still valid.
The one that doesn't explained everything and skipping details are the one that show off their faces, talking about their friends, trying to look cute on camera too
Bruhhhhh😂...was about to make some drastic decisions, until I saw this video
this is like the most thorough tutorial on this entire platform
Thanks, I spent about 6 hours yesterday frustrated trying to dive into different daws trying to set myself up. You made this so simple; I wish more people would make tutorials like this.
This tutorial was extremely helpful. I was missing quite a few steps to get set up but it's all up and going now. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
The best tutorial ive seen so far thnx
Genuinely appreciate the addition of the plugins overview. Nice to learn something extra!
Glad to hear it. There's so many things you can learn in FL Studio that it can feel overwhelming at times. Plugins are a great place to start and a lot of fun to play around with. Enjoy!
Thank you so much for such a straightforward and thorough tutorial! It can he frustrating trying to find info on UA-cam delivered in this manner. Seems like more people on here would rather talk about themselves extensively before finally delving into the subject matter in the title of their videos. This will be a very useful tool for me to get started recording my instruments on FL20
Thanks for your feedback! I also get frustrated by some videos that take ages to get to the point, so I'm glad you found this video helpful.
Enjoy recording your music on FL20 and don't get frustrated if it takes a while to get used to it.
this is hands down the best video on all of youtube for recording on fl, god bless you man
Thanks very much for going in detail on the latency/buffer length info!! Very useful.

This guy, 'Tutorial Master' everything he say packing with simple & effective info other UA-camrs should be taking notes. Gotya a sub. Be looking forward to other type of tutorials
Wow, what a tutorial. I had the same exact issues you explained here and answered. No one else explained things the way you did especially when I could not find my interface driver on the list or how to choose the input and output. Great job.
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the kind words
@@AaronMatthies My friend, that is one of the best tutorials I have seen so far. I am brand new to recording in FL studio and can not seem to find anyone to give slow, precise and easy to follow instructions as you do. Hopefully you can do more FL studio on the newbie level. Thank you.
I've been scouring the internet to find a well explained video and this helped me fix the issue at hand. Cheers mate.
Phenomenal tutorial. I'm gonna try and record something soon.

Brilliant M8 thank you!!
Thanks!!!
best tutorial!
thank u for that a lot!
what turned me off form FL studio was having such a hard time recording guitar. Finally went to try it again and this has been the most helpful video thank you
you can just use reaper or studio one for guitar playing with plugins using a daw. they are more straight forward and the skills of these daws are interchangeable. fl studio workflow is more suited to making beats etc.
you deserve more subs
Thx bro!!!
its not working i only have an option of input/output i can't separate them
Thnks for tutorial
cheers good video
Hello. great video! Thank you very much.
I recently began recording and everything was working fine. Just today I encountered the problem of not having an input selection drop down. Has this happened to you before? Do you know the shortcut to the input selection menu?
Thanks again for the great intro to FL!
Ty ty Ty!,,❤❤❤
Really good tutorial, how do I stop the buzz from my guitar being recorded too?
I had no idea why the FL Studio ASIO was giving me worse latency than ASIO4ALL, only just learnt about the buffer length concept! Very useful info, thank you!
Sam Victor I just figured it out, Fl Studio ASIO needs the latency to be changed in settings, if the quality is still poor then you will have to change your Audio Driver to HD AUDIO in the Device Manager than restart you device.. check tutorials online
The best ASIO drivers are usually the ones from the interface manufacturer.
for some reason, when I record, each quarter note length sound is being divided on different tracks. How can I fix it?
I have the same problem, someone help pls!
I have the producer edition. I’m using a StudioLive AR 12 mixer interface. I’ve connected my guitar to the 1st input on mono and I’m able to hear it through the speakers and get a signal on the mixer however it does not produce a signal on FL Studio. I set the channel to mono input 1 and still nothing
My first time using fl studio last night. I hooked my guitar into a focusrite and then hooked it to my pc, but when I play a string it is very distorted and sounds not in tune on the pc compared to my guitar. Any ideas what’s causing it?
I used to be able to record direct in from my amp into my headphone/microphone jack. Is that not an option anymore??
I set up the recording part and everything and can hear my guitar well and it records fine but when I mess up and delete my recording and try to record again it opens up a whole other track, any suggestions? Thanks!
To ensure a clean signal with an audio interface, you may want to connect the guitar to a DI box and the DI box to the interface. You can then get rid of ground loops and that annoying hum that sometimes plagues audio connections.
any other way to reduce or get rid of this noise without an DI box?
@@Masonator126some interfaces built specifically for guitar
Edit; i realize thats kinda vague
I use the pod go from image line, its a digital “amp-sim” pedalboard so it acts an an amp and all my effects, if you have more money the helix line is more capable, plenty of other amps do this, but i like those with effects built in cause you can gate the noise before it hits the interface! Also i see this is real late
What I get stuck with is recording more audio tracks. The mixer seems to have it's own way. Like I record one guitar and the next track I want to record gives also signal in the insert I just recorded. Something I don't see other DAWS do. The cables don't seem to change it nomather how I place them.
So when I click on Buffer Length the WDM keeps popping up. I have no input or output option. I also wanted to try to update my DAW but its only giving me the option to update the free trial version. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
In am recoding before adding amplitude 4 but i get latency any solution for fx with record ????
U see at 6:54 hw ur recording was going horizontal to the right? But when i recorded it wasn’t like it , it was more like vertical! Nd i wasnt able to hear my recording. I got the fl studio a week back
Hi. Really helpful tutorial. Thanks.
Can i record with a plugin sound (biasfx-distorted sound) and although record the clean guitar to change the sound afterwards?
Yes you can. That's the great thing about recording with a clean tone and using plugins, you can easily tweak or change the tone later on in the plugin.
My biggest issue is hearing the DI recording along with my nerualdsp plugin..any way to fix this? I'd like to hear only my plug in when recording.
how come the effects and sound in general is mainly on the right side?
Also, it doesn't show me any input device at all. I'm using Mac. so I chose the only option I had, which he explained. whenever I select input, all I hear is loud screeching and feedback and no way to fix it or continue this tutorial. please, I need help. it always seems these tutorials work for everyone else but me
Can someone help...i see volume bar is moving when i strumm guitar but i dont hear any sound in fl studio...what to do?
Hey, I have a problem. When I hit the record button, it doesn't give me the list of options like it did in the video and it never has. Is there a way to solve this? I'm too lazy to go to the FAQs lol
The sound quality is really bad and glitchy when I'm listening through FL studio, and changing buffer length is not fixing it. Is there a way to fix it?
I can’t hear my audio when i’m playing my guitar but i can record the audio and listen to it after by changing the device from my interface to my primary driver. Its really inconvenient because i can’t hear some effects before recording. Does anyone have a fix?
When I select line 1 from my interface my speakers make this extremely loud sound until I deselect it…
When I click master, the output doesnt have my speakers, only "out-1 out-2"
I have followed all the steps, until I recorded. But I can't hear what i just recorded ... and it shows the graphics i had recorded something on the track
how do you connect a drum pattern to it so it all plays together ?
When i record my takes i tend to hear my own sound on the headphone hw do i mute it
For some reason, even with everything done right, my guitar can't seem to make any sound inside FL.
what if the max volume on my interface doesnt light the track up even half way
I got an iRig 2 and it is not showing up anywhere on my FL
I can here my guitar in my headphones but when I record it just records from my computers mic not my interface can anyone help
