Fun fact, Both Korea and Japan have fox spirits that shapeshift and have nine tails, in Japan they have kitsune and they can be good(messengers to the gods or protectors of forests) or mischievous tricksters, that can turn into protectors by giving offerings; in Korea they have Gumiho, that literally eat people sometimes or entrance people to use them, Ahri(the fox girl) is a gumiho she entrances her enemies.
China has them too.
The two k/da members that sing in korean are voice by Soyeon and Miyeon, they are part of a kpop group named (g)i-dle. Soyeon is (g)i-dle leader, she has written co-compose and co-produce most of their songs. They are really worth being checked !

KD/A is a Group, original started with Ahri,Kaisa,Akali and Evelyn in more the got the fifth Member with Seraphine. Riot really exaggerated for the introduction of Seraphine, own Twitter account, Insta etc. for a game character :D but the 5 are a permanent part of the group and have some songs together, something like Villian are just songs where individual band members do their solo songs.The characters are all playable and yes, KD/A is a skin series that was introduced at the Worlds Final from which the band was founded. They did the same with True Damage Skins which is also a League Band. So far they only have one song. You might want to check out the World Final Opening Ceremony where you can see the characters from the game as well as the real singers/voices behind the characters
Seraphine isn't a K/DA member, she's a singer who collaborated with K/DA
I had a feeling they were skins. Amazing how they manage to create stuff like this with the game characters, almost like what they did with Enemy by imagine dragons. We definitely got to check the World Final Opening Ceremony now.
Seraphine is just a featured artist in More, she isn't a permanent member.

didnt see anyone else confirm, but good eye! pop/stars animation was also produced by fortiche, so yeah the art style is similar to arcane. prior to arcane they had the pop/stars video left prominently on their website homepage, they were rightfully very proud of that one and have only gotten better
That's cool! Fortiche is too good at this, that is maybe why pop/stars is my favorite out of them.
Ahri is actually a Kumiho, the Korean version of a Kitsune (Japanese)

Ahri (the vocalist singing in Korean) is voiced by Miyeon from (G)-IDLE in POP/STAR & MORE but is then voiced by korean group TWICE Sana, Chaeyoung, Nayeon and Jihyo AND the singer Annika Wells followed by the singer Bekuh BOOM (moonlighting as Kai'sa) in the solo song I'LL SHOW YOU.
Akali (the rapper singing in Korean) is voiced by Soyeon from (G)-IDLE in all the songs she feature in (POP/STAR + MORE and the hip-hop group TRUE DAMAGE with their song GIANTS).
Kai’sa (the rapper singning in English) is voiced by Jaira Burns in POP/STARS and MORE and then voiced by Wolftyla in BADDEST.
She is voiced by Aluna, Bekuh BOOM and Wolftyla and the solo song DRUM GO DUM (she voiced by different voices to showcase her 3 sides)
Evelynn (the vocalist singing in English) is voiced by Maddison Beer in POP/STARS and then followed by Kim Petras in the solo song VILLAIN. She voiced by Bea Miller in BADDEST.
Seraphine (the vocalist singing in Chinese) is voiced by the chinese singer Lexie Liu (she was added because of the the WORLDS 2020 taking place in Shanghai and Seraphine is from Shanghai) but Seraphine's other songs (before K/DA) was singed by an anonymous singer.
K/DA released BADDEST as a pre-release single for ALL OUT mini album (MORE + VILLAIN + I'LL SHOW YOU + DRUM GO DUM).

If ur into rock/metal music u should check out pentakill. They have CRAZY good songs. They're another League skin-line band but they make rock music. They did this huge online concert thats like an hour long where they performed all their new album songs and its animated.

League of Legends is made by American video games developer Riot Games. K/DA is a virtual k-pop group, created as lore for the background of the song "Pop/Stars", which debuted during the League of Legends World Cup back in 2018, which was in Korea. It's a collaborative song with Miyeon and Soyeon, two members of the Korean K-pop group (G)-Idle, and American solo artists Madison Beer and Jaira Burns. The animation company that made the video was also the same studio that did Arcane, Studio Fortiche in France.
KDA lore is that Ahri, dissatisfied with her own pop career formed a group with her friend Evlynn, along with discoveries Akali and Kaisa. All four champions are playable in League. Each singer is associated with one of the Champions:
Ahri (nine tailed Kumiho) - Miyeon
Evlynn (red glasses- Madison Beer
Akali (purple dragon jacket) - Soyeon
Kaisa (shoulder cannons) - Jaira Burns
Akali literally stole the show and hard carried "Pop/Stars" to massive internet fame. She was so popular that they brought her back for the 2019 Worlds in Paris, France, forming a new music group True Damage, with the song "Giants."
Originally the song was made mostly to sell the new KDA skins for the game, but became so popular, they decided to make a whole mini album for 2020 League World Cup that was in China with additional songs featuring one of each of the characters. The mini-album featured a new champion, the Chinese social media star Seraphine, who is also playable in League, as well as released additional skins for each of the champions.
While the album was well received, it didn't reach the fame that "Pop/Stars" did.

@@laid-backdragons Riot has worked with Studio Fortiche since their very first character music video, coincidentally, for Jinx's playable champion launch to help kick -off the lore reboot. I have headcanon that Arcane was pretty much in the works for more than 8 years ("Get Jinxed" was released 8 years ago partly during the reboot of League lore), with preproduction really starting 6 years ago.
League lore was completely rebooted about a year after the game first launched. Riot has come out and officially stated that Arcane is alternate lore to the game. Personally, I hope they use Arcane's worldbuilding to springboard their MMORPG project and that they allow players to create their own champions.

@@laid-backdragons there are many cinematics. The start of every season gets its own cinematic. Every world championship also gets own music video to promote it. Champions get cinematics to tell stories. I highly recommend Annie: Origins.
