The fact that they used "Straight up villain" because "I'm a Villain" sounds like "Evelynn"... Both songs are fire, Villain is my fav from the album

Both the lyrics and visuals of "Villain" does such a great job of explaining Evelyn in game. A good Evelyn player is an actual nightmare to face, but luckily rare.
Evelynn is a Succubus so the song totally fits her lore.
kda honestly was what really made me fully commit to kpop and especially listen to gidle which where rookies at that time. and look at them now.
The whole album is such a cool concept really. Each song represents a member. With "The baddest" being Akali song, "Villain" being Evelynn, "I'll show you" being Ahri and "Drum go dum" being Kaisa. And they brought so many artists on this album. Parts of me wish to have had more Soyeon and Miyeon on the album, but theres always hope KDA makes a return (maybe even at the end of 2024 if we are lucky"

They're the perfect voices for Evelynn and they're perfect for KDA
The lyrics in "Villain" are really nice cause it really fits her in game persona. For instance, in the song, she says: "hear my voice up in your head". In game, she has a spell that she can cast on you to literally try and lure you in. And only the victim of that spell can hear her voice up in their head. Really well written song !

So fun fact K/DA actually got me into K-Pop. And I'm glad it did. Also League of Legends music is top shelf. Waiting for more League reactions

I love this EP 😊 it has variety and fans can choose which one they like more which’s smart for riot to do. Drum go drum and Villain are my favorite because I think the artists shine more in these songs
If you watch K/DA's Drum Go Dum, you will also see a super talented dancer/choreographer who is rumoured to be debuting soon in the new The Black Label group.

One of my favorite things about it is the lyric "I'm a straight up villain". Yes, it shows that she ain't playing. She IS pure evil. But also, "straight" or "straight up" has a meaning of "honest/honestly", while a villain is usually quite the opposite 😅. I really like that dichotomy.
Oh, and yes, I'm definitely not opposed to seeing more League of Legends reactions 😊

If you look at the spires she's walking through in the beginning, you can see they are her own hands. That big gem she circles her finger around is one of the jewels on her finger jewellery.
She does the same size shifting and dual existence in Pop/Stars where she's both in the car and pushing it like a toy.

I'm not going to pick a favorite because they're all so incredible. I think "Pop/Stars" is the most visually striking with it's muted "Arcane" animation, but "Villain" is a whole different level of respect. It has the darkest character and there's nearly no color or even strong lighting, but it still manages to focus your eye where it needs to be. It's aesthetically amazing.
I really think K/DA hit perfectly timed. They picked up all the coolest bits of contemporary animation, grabbed four killer singers, and had banger songs with an unique advantage in that they're based on pre-existing characters so the music has to reflect the characters and their world as well as be bangers. And people don't have to know the lore to love the music. The characters are striking enough in themselves and parts of the music are absolutely hyponotic. I don't think I've seen a reactor yet whose mouth doesn't drop open at these. They're just fucking amazing...
The studio that animated Arcane (Fortiche) is the same studio that animated POP/STARS. They worked on other League of Legends videos before (Get Jinxed in 2013, and Warriors in 2014), and Christian Linke and Alex Yee (Arcane creators) decided to use them for Arcane in 2015. At some point during production they decided that they need to re-write most of the show and expand the Fortiche team which just happened to align with the time that Riot was producing POP/STARS to promote the K/DA skin line. So while they were expanding the studio to work on Arcane the existing team made POP/STARS music video.
Soyeon's rap in The Baddest for me its THE BEST RAP OF HER!!!!!!
