It’s a masterpiece and kind of a hidden gem that deserved way more love. It’s a shame Mac is so annoying to use and deal with in Smash. Making him play the way he did really doesn’t translate the Punch Out gameplay that well.

Skip the Tutorial You couldn’t anyway, because even if you make it through the whole fight, if you don’t knock out the chocolate bar, he will just constantly heal.
Actually I just had an idea that should be tackled in the future because I think you and zallerd1 and frame by frame animation and everyone else need a break from being a punching bag but my idea(which I have no idea if it's even possible)was can you beat every punch out fight by a desicion win?
Use a bunch of right punches to the face and then when you get the super punch, use that until you knock him down. When he gets up again, use some more super punches until you KO or TKO him

Doc Louis' Punch-Out!! was made available again right as Club Nintendo was about to shut down, which is when I got it, so it's not just limited to Club Nintendo members from 2009. It was actually really cool that they brought it back one last time before the program shut down.
I wish we could get a doc Louis prequel game on the switch. With the switch improved motion controls it should be a really good game, Or you could just use the pro controller
Could Doc just be Matt in the future? I mean at the end of Wii boxing you defeat Matt which would make him a former champion. Plus, Doc and Matt share face features,and I know Matt is bald but time has passed.
Doc should've been an alternate mode in the base game where you play as him. He'sd dodge slower, have less stamina, and only be able to take one knockdown, but my GOD does he throw a mean punch

I like to think that Doc Louis in his leopard print shirt is his “Title-Defense” mode, like every other fighter.
The difference is a chocolate bar
He gets more aggressive and instead of chocolate heals via an entire cake that cannot be knocked out of his hands, and will counter if you try
