I, as well have MS although, mine is not as severe. The weather is a major contributor to this disease. May you rest in peace, Annette. You will always be missed!💓🙏🙏
Annette... you'll always be one of my heroes. I'm awaiting a confirmation diagnosis for MS, but even before this discovery I adored you. You were a class act, and there will *never* be another like you. You did so much good for others, and never once whined or complained about your own issues like so many celebrities do these days. I was very, very young when I first saw "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes", but it touched me more deeply than anything else ever has or will. Goodbye, Annette; yo
It is so painful to know what a struggle she had her last years. She held a special place in my heart as we are both named Annette. She is with the angels..
Everyone has a light that shines inside of them. Annette had this flaming light that acted like a beacon to anyone who was struggling with this miserable disease. Her life was not in vain and she will always be remembered as the courageous beauty who faced her death with strength and dignity.
What’s admirable is that I don’t think Annette thought that way, that tomorrow is a new day. Even when she couldn’t speak anymore I had a feeling she thought that. A natural optimist.
Amazing and beautiful human being that is missed all the time.. Her movies I adored and still do. May her soul in heaven be with the Lord and be at peace.
Such an incredibly beautiful and sensitive woman. I watched all those great beach movies when I was growing up and I marveled at her beauty. She was beautiful so much deeper than the physical beauty. I know she is missed by so many, including me. RIP Annette - we miss you.
Met her when she was doing a promotional tour for an upcoming movie . Was surprised how small and tiny she was . But just a complete sweetheart - couldn’t have been nicer . One of the truly great ones .
Annette Funicello was a iron to many in the industry and such a sweet soul, she did not let this beat her, wishing her family peace since her passing, this was a real lady.....
Just watched another video showing the wonderful GLEN HOLT talking so lovingly about his Annie. I was born in 1948 and we watched MicKEY MOUSE CLUB DAILY. AND clearly the most popular Mouseketeer was ANNETTE. GOD Bless Glen and Annette. Sorry she has passed. Did you know we in the Pacific Northwest have the highest numbers of MS.? Just astounding numers.
Interesting about the High number of cases In the Pacific Northwest.. wondering could it be genetic predisposition for certain ethnic people living more of a population in that area ,, or maybe diet of people in that area?? Contributing factors or clues??? Hmmm I hope the doctors studying the disease know this.
I live in tge Pacific Northwest and I didn't know about that! I wonder if the high pesticide and herbicide use in our area effects it. It seems there's a lot of cancer here.
Lovely young lady and a precious pretty talented woman giving us such amazing pleasure to watch her act and sing with her cute little outfits she wore on the beach ....I loved them the colors made her look so nice and cute..
I have MS and know the pain she's going through, both physically and mentally. It's May of 2012 and my legs are always in pain. One thing that really upsets me is when the FDA got down on doctors for proscribing Hydrocoden (genaric Vicoden). I really need it and no doctor wants to proscribe it. If they did they would have to give you a handwritten (no faxes and no calls) script every month. Any one out there: let me know who will. I only took one about every three days. I don't get high off it, it just made my legs feel better for a few hours when a really bad bout of pain attacked. God speed Annette! I'll see you soon (but not too soon :) ).
Annette was one of my first crushes. I always loved her. She didn't deserve this terrible twist of fate. I'm only glad she is not suffering anymore. Rest and fly with angels, my beautiful princess!!❤❤❤❤❤ 😢
Annette was such a beautiful and talented woman...I was not born in that era of time unfortunately, but I idolize her and try my best to keep her in my generation...she's my inspiration and one of my all time favorite actresses, singers, etc. it makes me so sad to know that she is unfortunately gone but I can't change that. Such a sweet soul and one of the most loved people of all time.
I had hoped with her being well loved by so many people that she could provide some additional incentive to find a cure for this horrible disease. Some people are able to live with it till 90, while others are in a wheel chair only a year after being finally, correctly diagnosed. It is just all up to the immune system and how it reacts. New medicines are being researched constantly. Maybe one day a cure will be found. Till then, be strong fellow patients. Never give up hope.
This puts so much in perspective. She was such an exceptional person, beginning to end. "There's a reason." She also understood so much. Yes, lady, there is a reason. And you are still inspiring others after death with the sheer class you displayed facing such a burden.
the best way to describe Annette funicello, she was the original girl next door who stayed girl next door! a lot of actresses nowadays could both take and learn a lesson from her! nothing wrong with a girl who went to movies and ate hot dogs and grew up to be a woman who ate burgers, drank beer and was happier going to picnics and attending barbecues as opposed to someone you had to wine and dine! nothing at all wrong with a lady who was pretty and showed it as opposed to a woman who was pretty and knew it! Annette is missed by people who liked someone with the full package as opposed to a phony human being!
She was a beautiful woman. She had alot of courage to come out with her diagnosis. I hope they can find a cure for this terrible disease. She will be forever missed. R.I.P Annette
I am 34 years old and i remember watching, reeuns of the original Mickey Mouse club. The main reason why i loved qatxhing it was because of Annette. It was something about her, not only her beauty but I could feel her humbleness. RIP Annette!!
Annette, what a kind beautiful lady found by Walt Disney. I remember my mom giving me a fiction book about Annette on a ranch. I also watched all the beach movies.
Annette was just marvelous and so courageous.. Here she has this horrible incurable disease MS. and she is optimistic and positive. And says maybe I can help others.. always thinking of others when she is terribly sick. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH HOW SPECIAL THIS WOMAN IS AND UNFORTUANTELY NOW WAS.. I AM SO SURE GOD IS SO THRILLED TO HAVE HER NOW IN HEAVEN WITH HIM.. GOD BLESS HER ALWAYS.. SHE WAS ONE IN A MILLION OR MILLIONS..
Love her singing loved how she always looked she showed the world that you can be conservative but still sexy at the same time what a Woman very sad she suffered and MS took her
What a beautiful woman she was.i remember when I was a little girl everybody use to call me Annette. Why I don't know she was beautiful. But I felt honored. Great Shows back then. People had more Morals, Respect for adults and each other. I can go on about the olden days but No one cares anymore.
I know at least two people with MS personally, and maybe more. One of them is my neighbor, who shuffled in and out of assisted living centers for a while and is now back in her own home with 24/7 care from her daughter's family. The other is one of my high school teachers, who is only in his 50s yet was forced to retire not long ago because of how the disease had affected him. I can still remember him riding around the halls in a Segway. I didn't know Annette Funicello personally, but I was familiar with her and knew she also had MS. I've heard that there have been some recent breakthroughs that may finally lead to a cure--let's pray it happens soon!
God Bless Annette! So sad to hear about her passing, but she suffered for so long and I hope that there is a silver lining for her family knowing that her suffering is now over and she is in Heaven with God. Sad that there aren't people like her around anymore. RIP Annette.
*Annette Joanne Funicello (1942-2013)* While puberty was kind to Annette, multiple sclerosis was destructive to her. She lost her ability to walk in 2004, and lost her ability to speak five years later. Multiple sclerosis was so destructive, Annette literally required round-the-clock care 24/7 until the day she succumbed to the complications from the illness in early 2013 at 70 years of age. Multiple sclerosis did great damage to poor Annette; it destroyed her. Thou shalt rest, Annette. You are safe and sound in heaven where you will never suffer again.
My aunt has Ms but she's in remission. I that is such a cruel diease. I will give some money. I am handicap but my heart cries for her. It was a accident on a play ground that destored my knees by children and then a lawyer with neglect on his part cost me getting a stettlement and then he went to work for workmen's comp. I was screwed by my lawyer. Forced to live on 81.00 a month I am 74.
I'm almostfour years younger than Annette.I grew up watching her on the origin Mickey Mouse club. I hero worshipped her and like many girls my age, I hero worshipped her. Then last year (2012) I was diagnosed with Lupus. I began to think a lot her a lot. Annette was already 70 at that time, and I knew about her MS. She was an inspiration anew. Her MS which more debilitating than what I have, and yet she lived very effectively. She is an inspiration to me even now. Rest in peace, Annette!
She handled her MS gracefully......a class act

What a sweetheart, and a beautiful and lovely person. May she be dancing and singing in heaven.
When I was a kid in the 1950's, it was pretty much a tossup between her and Hayley Mills as to who I was going to marry when I got old enough.
Annette Funicello was a iron to many in the industry and such a sweet soul, she did not let this beat her, wishing her family peace since her passing, this was a real lady.....
This beautiful lady had such a sweetness about her!
I remember watching her as a young girl, loved Mickey Mouse Club, and she was my favourite, a beautiful soul through and through! ❤️

she was a beautiful woman and went through this gracefully
