I live in Texas where we pride ourselves on "bigger". I loved every thing about this. Your use of space and tidiness is really inspiring.
sadly y'all brought that on the whole country and some new yorkers are thinking that too but i forgot 75% of New Yorkers aren't born and raised and from the South with the baggage ans started hoarding and being materialistic.

I love when the toilet is separated from the bathroom. I feel weird when people come into my bathroom because it feels so personal and I keep a lot of sensitive stuff in there. Plus many people that I’ve let come over never feel like asking to use the bathroom because they don’t want to “impose”
Plus you don’t have to rush out of the shower if someone else needs to use the bathroom

I love your apartment! I love that everything is from a recycle shop. I'm planning on moving back to Japan in a couple of years. The first time I lived there, I bought everything new because I didn't know my way around Japan. But I plan to buy everything second had when I move back. Can't wait!!

no she probably didn't, maybe she just recorded these in one of the few times the house is super organized. I can say it because I'm the same, my room and apartment is usually a mess and in m Linda of lazy for the house work plus I work a lot. and I do sometimes videos for hive, but always clean and organized before that, and also there are some days when I can stand the mess anymore and clean it all plus is comfortable when the house looks good, the thing is that is too much effort and you try to do it as Less as you can. I understand her.
oh and I forgot to say that lazy People live to have all the stuff as simple and optimized as possible. that makes thinks always easy

At least in that size of apartment you have your own bathroom (you don’t need to share with other residents) and washer/dryer 👍. Cost of this apartment is a bargain. 👏👏

Really nice job! Love that you bought most items from recycle shops. The only thing I would add just for aesthetic reasons is an inside the left door shelf underneath sink, a basket to store teeth hygiene items. Only bc it’s basically the kitchen area. You do have a second sink over the toilet. It is meant for use in body care. Lovely apartment!

Sink above the toilet is a great water saving idea - should be implemented all over the world - as the water goes into the toilet tank & used as double duty - handwash/ flush the toilet.

My late Aunt would make you take off your shoes before entering her home and she had all different types of sizes of house shoes for you to wear.Holiday time in the winter visiting her meant standing in line on the front porch to get your pair of house shoes in the cold freezing weather, and she wondered why no one in the Family wanted to visit around holiday season. Lol.

That table was a good deal; you can even change the color with some contact paper in the future if you wanted a change. And the Sony Bravia? I miss my Sony Bravia, sadly the connector to the display was faulty and Sony refused to repair or replace it even though a lot of people had that issue with that specific model. You're good at finding deals and made the small space work with the furniture you bought 👍

I live in South Africa 😳 where too much space is use for floor space so there's no actual plan to help you make use of the floor space so you can't have a secure place for shoes (I have mine at front door but they not secure) , I absolutely admire the way Japanese 🇯🇵🥰organise their home spaces to the necessary ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
