This morning I had a long list of Adobe updates. I wondered how long before Kelsey would save me the job of exploring the updates, and hey presto, by the end of the day, she had done her usual fast, clear, and concise, update video. I am shooting this weekend, and the proxy changes will make my life so much easier. Thank you to all at PG for another great UA-cam post.

You can create a project template file with Ingest Proxies already set. Duplicate the project, open it, save as. and use it as a starting point for each project.
I appreciate the tips and skimming new features along with how to integrate them in the normal editing process. I’m glad they’re making it easier to integrate proxies, that’ll save time rendering fx on the timeline for rough cuts, thanks!
Adobe has the proxy workflow completely backwards. What is needed is a workflow that starts with the proxies and then accepts the full res files later.
Does premier have a stock footage , music and sound effects library included like Filmora?i I mean in the paid version, or are these all extras, and if so, how much are they?
Adobe... You have me hanging on with some great updates. Could you please upgrade some of the Lumetri features? 'Skin smoothing', 'glow' and 'denoising' would be super helpful. And a 'global offset' wheel. I still have to take my projects to DaVinci for those. I don't want to keep taking my projects over to DaVinci to finish them.
Good video! The adobe podcast used to work amazingly when it was announced. Ever since, it’s gotten more robotic. I think adobe used their full computing power for the launch and now reduced it hence the poorer results.
I would love Adobe to fix the problem with sequences with multicams. I still have sequences that I play and can’t stop playback until the play head reaches the end of the sequence.
Thank god they didn't implement that terrifying new color scheme from the beta in this official update, because once they do I will never update premiere ever again 💀
I'm pretty sure they are going to push that new color scheme through...but if you guys really don't like it...be sure to click on "Give feedback" in beta so they know...

Enhance audio has saved me a time or two in beta but it started getting buggy. Hope this version is better because man it’s pretty impressive. I’m working on a mini doc and switching back and fourth to newer versions make me nervous

I have a Nikon Z9 and when I shoot in the largest format and the highest quality NRAW, it can only read it in davinci resolutions, while Prime cannot, what should I do about it? Can it be exported from davinci in some raw pro res format that is the same Raw or do you have any other better suggestion?
have a RENDER question. When the project shuts down unexpectedly and you re-open it, and all of your fully Rendered clips (greenbar) is now yellowbar again (but you have all the render files sitting in the Video Preview folder). How do you Re-Link the render files in the folder back into the project, without having to Re-Render and Recreate all these render files?? NO ANSWERS!

I have an unrelated question, but in the Sony time-line there are 4 audio tracks. I have the same with log formats. I'm confused which trick I should edit. When adding a sound effect it puts it on all tracks. Adjusting it seperatly doesn't always work. Hope I explained it well. 😉
Hello, I had a question that has nothing to do with the new updates but thought I would just put it out here. I work at a local TV station and shoot/edit local tv commercials (I use Premiere) Not sure why, but if I have the audio mixer window as part of my workspace, when I playback anything on the timeline, the playhead does NOT move. The video plays back smoothly with no dropped frames, but the playhead doesn't move until I hit stop, then it jumps to the position where I just stopped. Its REALLY hard to edit that way. Now if I remove the audio mixer from my workspace, the playhead moves "buttery smooth". We have ADOBE support thru our station, but I haven't heard anything back from them yet. Any thoughts? Other than not having the audio mixer in my workspace? Thanks!

It could be a codec issue, some codecs work better in premiere pro, one idea would be to make 720p ProRes proxies...but if your computer is pumped up it should handle 4k, so maybe transcoding to ProRes could help even?
Hi, when will Adobe fix gamma exports? Even with the compensation .cube, which doesn't work, I still need an adjustment layer, and it's never right. It's 2024.

I'm in a bind as I have two cameras shot in .mov at 24fps 4096x2160 and another camera (Sony) shot 59.94 fps .mp4 at 3840x2160. I can't find any tutorials to teach me the steps to accomplish multicamera editing syncing on one sound track. The last one you did was years ago. Those steps don't work now. Hope you can help.
I predominantly use after effects. I use premiere just to chop up clips. I sometimes feel premiere is more relevant. I know you mentioned after effects. But when would you use one or the other ?

Welcome to the Toolkit fam! :-) I've used both Storyblocks and Elements, and I can say that sometimes I can find more stock video in Storyblocks, but more graphics/fonts in Elements bc we use a lot of stuff for design and video, so if you need design elements too, Envato has more in that department. But they have a lot of the same stock.
I had to use it this week after being presented with very poor audio, it saved the footage, and as I used a while ago, I think it is a lot more advanced than it was a few months ago. Its like a lot of things, if you can get it right in the first place, you should not have to rely on post.
Good stuff. Updated to this version yesterday. All hell broke loose with lagging footage and dropped frames. In addition, overall application was extremely buggy. On WIN10. Any thoughts?

The best feature is that proxy update. It was such a pain to have to do all of that manually.
The only update is the dropdown by frame size 1/2, 1/4 etc, but proxy ingest creation was already there :) Just more simplified.

I'm on the M1 Max 64gb ram, 4TB, now Apple makes the M3 Max, so I'd snag that one if I were you. Mine is still solid tho 🙌

Well, that ain't good. Do you use the Audio Mixer panel? How long ago did you contact Adobe support?
I sent them an email last week, nothing yet. Its just very useful for me to have the mixer panel up so I can see and adjust levels.@@PremiereGal
Good 'ol Adobe, they put in new features but mess up other things... like the ability to select mask points using a marquee in the program monitor.
I can't upgrade beyond 24.1 since Adobe messed up the mask point selection behavior in version 24.2 and 24.2.1.

Editing is the assemply of clips to tell a story, Ae is used to create some fx that can be added to the Pr assembly :)
