Well, hindsight is a very compelling view of whether someone is truthful or not. It's so easy then. Plenty of innocent people act strange immediately after a traumatic experience. But when someone shows up on Mike's channel and they don't die, they are usually guilty.

If I had really been attacked I would have ripped that tape off my head and neck been so traumatized and disgusted by it. The fact that she sat there with that tape on her making jokes and answering those questions is a big red flag to me.

Yeah, she left it on to show the evidence and make it more impactful. That was one of the first red flags with the Jussie Smollet case, he left the loose rope around his neck, walking around with it and pointing it out and touching it during the initial police interview

When she said 'I read my Bible' I instantly thought she did it. My grandmother reads Bible all the time, goes to church almost daily etc, but in reality she's the worst human being (talking about you behind your back, backstabbing you, and one time she even tried to pit me against my own mother), so I don't trust people who use Bible as an argument that they are good people.

    • @ScarletWitch597
      @ScarletWitch597 2 роки тому +21

My ex mother in law is the same. She’s a Christian and goes to church regularly, but also regularly backstabs and bad mouths everyone. Just recently, she accused my husband of being a pedophile just because he’s Caucasian. She told everyone how he will just use my daughter as a sex slave.
There was also one time when her grand daughter had a cat, but she didn’t want to have a pet so she tied the cat in a sack and threw the poor thing somewhere without opening the sack.
There are lot more stories of her being a piece of shit, but I’m going to stop right here.

That’s why I don’t make friends with the people in church or get involved with social events. So catty and horrible and self righteous just because they think so highly of themselves for being christian. Like, good job you read a mistranslated ancient book that you’re taking literally even though Jesus spoke in parables, and you tell the priest all the horrible things you did and just keep doing them …I just go for my own personal relationship with God and gtfo when it’s done!

@@amityislandchum The Term Body language is a misnomer, its called Behavoural SCIENCE (Clues in the name) and if you think its a con, explain Poker. People have uncontrollable ticks and mannerisms that are subconscious and betray their real intentions without the subject having direct control over it, its called an Involuntary Reflex.
if people are going to stop believing someone it should be the armchair scientists in comments sections of UA-cam who blurt out opinions as fact without doing the prerequisite research first, so convinced in their own sense of self superiority that actually 'knowing what they're talking about' is merely an after thought. :)
And no im not endorising youtube personalities who are motiviated by clicks and views, im endorsing medical journals and decades of peer reviewed scientific studies into the behavoural sciences.
Body Language is a myth? Never seen a dog tense up and just KNOW its annoyed by you? Ever seen a cat start swishing its tail when its aggravated? Never seen a person pace or scratch themselves uncontrollably when suffering anxiety? Or a guy square up and raise their shoulders and get in your space when theyre angry and aggressive?
People move their hands when they talk, conveying addtional LANGUAGE through their BODY. We Point, We shrug, we nod... starting to see how calling it a myth makes you look a tad under educated now?
Please do some actual research into the subjects you choose to 'Debunk' BEFORE attempting to debunk them.

Shaking your head means 'no' and nodding means 'yes' so your comment, 'Shakes her head yes while saying no," doesn't make sense.

I don't think this is the giveaway you think it is... a person may show a kind of tacit agreement with the questioning process by unconsciously nodding before stating "no", and still be innocent of wrongdoing. I'm not trying to debunk sensible analysis of body language cues, but please understand, it's more complex than that observation. What would concern me much more was other behaviour... that "Playboy" comment was so dissonant in the situation that I think it would raise a lot more alarm bells. There was also her continued lack of any sign of distress during most of the examination process pre-trial (combined with a frankly persistent "chattiness" about the details); her marked focus on herself as the centre of concern... if an experienced investigating officer makes note of this during trial questioning, that's the stuff I think one would be inclined to regard as suspicious :-/

    People underestimate small women .
Im 5'4" and I've lifted a done things where everyone is saying theres no way she ca so that. Shes gonna hurt herself. I say let's bet..I win I always win. The size of the person doesn't matter unless you're 600lbs and they want you to do 100 jumping jacks and walk ten miles in 12 minutes. But other than that they can handle themselves.

While I do agree with you about small woman being underestimated, in this case I don't think that applies. You have to remember this woman was 72 years old. I just have a very hard time picturing her being able to attack & then suffocate her husband.

Man if she really was behind this, she is the one person you actually want to be involved in a crime with since she kept the triggerman secret all throughout and even after her trial. It HAS to be someone close to her for her to protect them all the way to the end like that. Even mothers don't protect their kids when a life sentence is on the line in a lot of these cases, so for her to protect someone else not related to her is just mind boggling.

Mike-I love your wit and your knack of storytelling! I think you would do a great job of covering the Amber Guyger case-the off-duty Dallas cop who claimed she walked into her own apartment but actually walked into Botham Jean’s apartment and shot him.

Poor Botham Jean, what a horrible way to go. I think Amber was drunk and walked into the wrong apartment on accident, but she had NO REASON to attack and kill him. She deserves her sentence

2:50 made me laugh into my coffee mug lmao.
I tend to just listen to these - something about your videos playing on my headphones really helps me be able to get my brain to be (somewhat) productive, particularly when my adhd is being particularly… adhd-ish.
But sometimes I’m able to watch it, too. And the visuals are just as awesome as the audio/music. The pictures and all the interview/walkthrough/court footage were really great additions to this.
I appreciate the much needed laugh - those little added details are all quite *denibous* of you! All the best to ya 🤘

I went to grad school in NC (different city though), and Charlotte was initially quite lovely with many families moving there as the tech work in the RTP exploded in the late 90s. Things have shifted quite a lot…at least from what I hear these days.
