The look on John’s face when the survivor said she hit him, is his true self. It kills me that he is more concerned that people know that he was bested by a woman than the fact that they see him as a serial rapist and killer. Sad, pathetic, little excuse for a human being.

That moment made me absolutely giddy. He still felt like he was in control of everything. He confessed, he showed them Amber's body. He still felt powerful. In that moment, she ripped that sense of security he had right from under his feet. For him to have everyone know that a woman, of all things, was able to overpower him and prevent him from getting what he desired, was the absolute most insulting thing that he could imagine. In that moment, he felt like all his power had been thrown out the door and trampled. It's so satisfying to see someone like that finally feel vulnerable and weak.
@@evergreen61 I get your point but no that was the face of pure rage and hate. It has nothing to do with maturity or a child throwing a tantrum. That is the face of a monster after the mask falls off.

Its probably very hard to believe your child is a murderous sexual predator. And ultimately it wasn't her job. Where was his parole officer or that idiot shrink while he was lurking around parks and reservations?
The fact that his mother works at a facility that deals with people like her son, and she refused to tell authorities where he was and when he was breaking parole is inexcusable. I hope her conscience never lets her forget those two young girls. I realize she had a hard life raising a monster, but she let society down.
He's not a monster. He's a mentally ill person. Whatever his mother did or did not do, it is America's neglect of its mentally ill citizens that is the real culprit here. There are literally more mentally ill people in America's prisons than there are in its mental hospitals. That adds up to MANY crime victims and their families who could have been spared unnecessary suffering had our Govt did its job in the first place and took care of its mentally ill citizens. The real murderers here are the state authorities who allowed this obviously disturbed man to walk the streets.

@Brix Broox Yes. No alerts on the parole violations, not a lot of mental health services that he probably needed years prior. My sister was Chelsea King's teacher in Poway and was devastated when she was murdered. She read aloud an essay that Chelsea had turned in just days before her murder. It still gives me chills when I reread it now. Here is an excerpt from one of the last things she ever wrote: “The Death of Ivan Ilyich” and “Hadji Murad” forced me to question the values of my own life thus far, and at an age where frankly the looming presence of death hardly crosses my mind, and compels me to seriously think about my eventual fate. I found that while pondering death, the same mind-numbing fear experienced by Ivan Ilyich grasped me as well. Although written over 100 years ago, Tolstoy writes with such psychological precision that the themes addressed and feelings expressed in the two novels remain lucidly relevant. Not only does Tolstoy make it vividly clear that we all die, but he also attests to the fact that life continues callously on after death. So if we essentially are born merely to die, how does one possibly live a life of meaning and significance? In response to this enigma, Tolstoy largely prescribes a cure of brotherly love, and honesty. Fundamentally, I agree with him on these terms. Unconditional respect and honesty with oneself and others ensures that life remains free of poisonous superficial illusion, thus curing the disease of stagnation and hypocrisy. Yet I also believe that the cure includes a daring dash of joie de vivre - a fearless spontaneity and full embrace of life’s small joys, whims, and the pursuit of what one truly loves to do. Thus I believe that a truly noble existence is comprised of living for the sheer thrill of living, maintaining an objective honesty with oneself, and upholding an unconditional positive regard for all. I stand at a major turning point in my life as I begin to prepare myself to leave for college. As I embark for the first time out into the world truly on my own, I must not live in fear of my own mortality and succumb to the complacency of society, but rather sap each ounce of life out of my own fleeting existence and live what I believe to be a noble life. RIP Amber & Chelsea
Thank you Kendra for presenting this insightful work on behalf of Chelsea. I think those last words & thoughts show a maturity beyond her years & a life destined to achieve great things at that time. I hope it is these beliefs that wherever she may be now continue to guide her way as she evolves in this universe. RIP Chelsea

It goes to show you that if you ask ten different psychiatrists to diagnose a patient, you'll get various diagnoses. This is the dirty underbelly of the profession. They all have their own point of view, and it's not an exact science. The guy even alerted authorities to the fact that he was a danger to himself, and to others before he committed these crimes. He clearly had a psychosis. To summarize your professional opinion of a psychopath as "he's just a bad guy" borders on malpractice. That is not a dagnosis, that's a personal/moral opinion. Psychologists don't really say things like that in a professional setting. He (or she) was condemning this guy to prison instead of a hospital. Good.
Some of them probably really do hate themselves. That's why we need to legalize assisted suicide so that people can have themselves executed before they take it out on other people.

Mike acknowledging how much we love his accent shows how much he loves us and it gave a much-needed smile before going into such a depressing and vile series of tragedies. Thank you for always giving us some degree of comforting in your own special Mike ways. :)
As a constant viewer I sense that all this horror is beginning to weigh on him. He is editing and viewing all these videos and he is, actually, a lighthearted young man. I think technically it would be “dialect” in this case, rather than “accent,” as his physical location is where his dialect is from. If he went somewhere else, his dialect would become an accent, but in this case, it’s like we are going to him, on the internet, yes; but that’s the fundamental distinction here.

Honestly you are either both misinturpruting the respective comments or just want to bring up something completely different to each comment you responsded to.
Scotty, Bianca is just saying that it's wrong to call women weak just because they arn't as strong as men, not trying to discuss biology.

I will always be grateful for Chelsea’s family for all they did to help other children stay safe by getting Chelsea’s Law passed. I wish they would have added Amber’s name to the law too. I volunteered and got signatures to help get the law passed. I pray both of these families are doing as well as can be expected and that Amber and Chelsea are resting peacefully. I will never forget either of their sweet and ever so beautiful souls.
Right. All the way down in TX I had heard about Chelsea’s disappearance, just a brief mention of Amber after her body was recovered.
But then, Chelsea came from an affluent area, & that always take center stage when it comes to the PD & news outlets.

Very well said. Heartbreaking for those 2 lovely young girls who had their bright lives ahead of them. Glad they got justice in the end and that piece of shit will never harm anyone again and is rotting in jail. Stay safe and well. Love from Ireland.

It's just heart breaking when you realize that they looked for her for months.. & had no idea she was already dead & buried before they even had realized that she was even missing that day. That's terrible
I LOVED that bit on the end, where the survivor asked him how his nose was! She must have broken it, and his eyes would have instantly swollen shut and filled with tears. That's why she was able to get away from him. He couldn't see enough to chase her. OH he was MAD! That was amazing, how that triggered him, knowing he was bested by a girl.
I want to hug and high five that survivor so badly.

That nose line was savage! 😂 💪🏻 It’s great to see John squirm without being able to do a single thing about it. It shows you, despite his act, of how little he has changed. Oooooh that look of rage on his face when his victim mocked him so publicly. You can see right there the last thing Amber and Chelsea (probably more tbh) saw, what a savage. Cudos to the survivor who made him nearly cry. 😁❤
@Borat 🤣🤣🤣 I don't ever plan on having one of those but thanks for the... compliment? 🤔😄 Hope you are having a great weekend 😁 ps, I'm a huge fan of your shows. Very nice! 😂
This was an interesting chapter. The way in conversation he tried to paint himself as a good guy who was not in control of his actions, contrasted very much with that face at the end, where you see his true character.
It clearly demonstrated that he could control his actions but not his anger. If what he said about being unable to control his actions was true he wouldn't have just sat there and took it. So clearly he did have control of his actions.
He certainly didn’t like the “blow to his manhood” when the woman said she hit him, and that anger appeared. “She didn’t hit me”.
@Ldy Della here's hoping his poor pity me speach at the end us accurate.
Nice try " says it all
@Ldy Della I really don't get why you want the death penalty for creatures like him? What help it does for future victims? What message it sends to future predators / serial killers? If you ask me I would impose the death penalty, but death by torture only. Only that will have some impact.
That composite "sketch" is Creepy A.F suits him well. The surviving victim: "How's your nose?" She knew right where hit him.. both times💪🏼

she's incredible, she fought him off and was so brave in coming out and identifying him. Then asking "how's your nose?" iconic! I hope she's doing well
And then he denies that she hit him. How did she escape, by buying him a sandwich? She fought like a champ and smashed him in the nose! Brave woman.

He led them to Amber because of Amber's mom. She went and got special permission to have a visit with John and within 2 days he led them to her body. Her mom was so strong and wouldn't just sit back and let the cops handle it. It was heartbreaking to watch both of these families grieve their daughters.
Is this an Amber alert
@@sriddle3569 yes, she is The Amber, whose parents got the Amber Alert system set up.
@@danielleyoder5480 No, the Amber Alert was created from the dissapearence and murder of 9-year old Amber Hagerman in 1996. Sadly her murderer has never been found.

Sad, but true.
You can't force empathy into people who were born without it.
I think it’s possible that his dislike for women was born out of his relationship with his mother, and perhaps he is meaning that he should’ve directed his anger at his mother instead of other women. Too bad he was never taught how to use his anger constructively instead of destructively.
21:36 "Good try." This single statement wipes away the legitimacy of everything he just said. If he felt bad about what he did in retrospect and didn't want to "put the family through this", then he wouldn't hide evidence of other victims whose families are still searching.

Exactly why neighbors spray painted CHELSEAS BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS on that evil womans garage before she fled town like the coward she is. Hateful people.
@Brix Broox in a manner of speaking. I'm not exactly sure what more could be done for him though. It seemed like his mother tried to get him help when he was growing up as he was seen by experts and on medication from very young. I don't know how much of it is her fear, hard to turn in her own son, her own cowardice, or her delusion that he did nothing wrong.
@Brix Broox Yes. No alerts on the parole violations, not a lot of mental health services that he probably needed years prior. I know in Los Angeles private behavioral units are often a revolving door. If she got him locked up or said he violated his parole what do you think would have happened? If there weren’t, he would have said no. He’s afraid of the death penalty.
My sister was Chelsea King's teacher in Poway and was devastated when she was murdered. She read aloud an essay that Chelsea had turned in just days before her murder. It still gives me chills when I reread it now. Here is an excerpt from one of the last things she ever wrote:
“The Death of Ivan Ilyich” and “Hadji Murad” forced me to question the values of my own life thus far, and at an age where frankly the looming presence of death hardly crosses my mind, and compels me to seriously think about my eventual fate.
Wow very profoundly beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Kendra for presenting this insightful work on behalf of Chelsea. I think those last words & thoughts show a maturity beyond her years & a life destined to achieve great things at that time. I hope it is these beliefs that wherever she may be now continue to guide her way as she evolves in this universe. RIP Chelsea
I'd never seen this excerpt before, Chelsea was really an excellent writer. I was in the same school district, my cousin was at Poway High just a couple years younger than her. Now over 10 years on, I'm even more upset that Amber and Chelsea had their right to live taken away by such a horrible waste of oxygen. I've gotten to experience so much that they never get to, and it's so, so depressing. However I'm glad I got to read this, so thank you and your sister for sharing this with the world.

@@Die-Angst I think we found John “the turd” here in the comments. 🤔
When a medical professional literally says "no he's not crazy, he's just a really bad guy"
There is no clinical diagnosis known as being "just a bad person." Not everyone is good, or bad completely.
