- Have you ever wondered how some people enjoy school? I've mostly liked school, but there are some weeks and months that it just feels like too much. Well, in this video, we're gonna talk about how to convince yourself to like school more, even when it's tough. We'll talk about some of the things I do and some of the mindsets to have if you wanna get through to the end to achieve your academic goals.

everytime i talk to my school friends i feel like a shonen protagonist: i dont want to lose, i have to study more and more to be just as smart as them, idk, i was raised in naruto so yeah

My school is all girls and I'm straight lol
What worked out for me was just reminding myself the reason I came to college in the first place. Whenever I would feel demotivated, I would tell myself that if I don't want to put in the effort to study or do assignments, then that just means I don't care about why I attend college in the first place. They're harsh, uncomfortable words that people are quick to say are wrong. I did the same for many years, but in the end, justifications won't get you out of whatever rut you are in. The only thing that will are your actions.
What WAS your reason for going to college?
I can relate about having a friend who's "smarter" than you. I'm that friend, I don't consider myself "smarter" I just started to learn things about my career since high school because I was really really interested but now, at college, it's difficult to me to have friends who understand my point of view about almost everything, I think this is for ADHD too, but, you know, it's hard to don't have anyone which you can talk with about how hard is college to you :(

Any tips for sticking to schedules for longer periods of time or atleast till the schedule becomes a habit?
you just have to do that shit over and over again until it feels unnatural to do anything else, its that simple don't overthink it

i use study bunny to keep myself accountable, i also set alarms to remind me throughout the day what I should be doing and I also print my schedules in different sizes and stick them everywhere, in the wall, beside my computer, in my clear phone case hahaha

I struggled a bit with that and to be honest i figured out i just... Worked better with breaks : u gotta figure out how taking a break helps u study in a "paradoxal" way.
If you take a break in order to study better, at least for me, the guilt is mostly gone. I know in my guts it's better for me AND MY STUDIES to do so, so idgaf. :)

good video ! my advice is start off small and work your way up ! it might not seem like you doing much but once you look back you will see how far you came ! also setting goals I feel you should double what you going for if can .. & if not lower it by 5 or 10 ! you know how you are so work AT YOUR OWN PACE ! don’t compare yourself to other person because their goals don’t match up to yours !

My tip is I just act like I'm already passing , and it especially helps when I'm failing bc then I usually feel unmotivated bc my brain tells me I'm a bad student, but I act like everything is okay , I use that in everything.
Btw just remember you will never be able to balance school/work and you and your mental health at the same time some weeks you will be super excited to study and do work and other days you won't want to even pick up a pen , coming from a South Asian student who hasn't gotten a beating this semester, I'd say to give yourself a break every once in a while .

How did you know you wanted to be a doctor? Did you just decide one day? Because I did that while choosing an undergrad program and now that I'm in the program I'm second-guessing my decision, but I'm not sure if people who are in medical school second guess themselves about wanting to be a doctor or if it's normal to change your mind every so often. All my pre-med friends don't seem to have the same hesitation that I do.

I started med school in Brazil two months ago and yes, I’ve already looked to the amount of content and questioned myself “Why the fuck I did this to myself???”
But when I see something clinical or a explanation of a tine tine thing that changes your hole body, I remember why.
Please. remember that nothing is perfect, our dream job won’t be that cool all the time. I really think that questioning yourself is ok, even better than just go with the flow and ask this questions on third year of med school or something, don’t feel bad about it, maybe other people are literally hating everything but they just don’t let it out.
Try to find vlogs of doctors working to see if you enjoy the routine. Think about taking care of pacients, but remember we are no God. Think about how much money you wanna make hahaha, and if it’s a thing you really wanna have. Think about how much you’ll have to study, but also remember that this content will be valuable (most of times) to improve the life’s quality of others.
I decided that I wanted to be a doctor when I was 16 and started to consider some of this points above but I have a uncle that did this at 27💁🏾♀️
