  • Ever wonder how some people seem to be able to finish their tests before you and still do well? Ever wonder how some people seem to know the material as well as you, but are able to do better on tests? Want to start 2022 on the right foot? Want to learn how to guess questions with better accuracy? In today's videos, I share some of the strategies I use as a medical student and before starting medical school to ace my multiple choice tests.
All of these tips can be applied to tests like the SAT/ACT/ or MCAT to help improve you scores.
Hope you enjoy and good luck in 2022.
Also, please excuse the slight decrease in quality for this video. I am at home, where my brothers are constantly yelling, and they shoved me in a little box to record this, and I have no mic, and no PC to edit on, so yeah... Hope its ok.

Honestly people massively underestimate the power of going with your gut. If you're preparing for a test, you have to trust that over 1000s of questions, your internal instinct definitely counts for something!

facts. i’ve done so many tests, and probably will still do and there are so many questions where i go back and the answer was my gut feeling

We do not have multiple choice tests. We have term papers (around 20 pages) and three hour tests in which we write up to 20 pages of text by hand. I'd love to only have to do mp tests.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
01:12 🕒 *Speed Running Method: Complete the test quickly without rushing, flagging questions taking more than 30%, and return later. Allocate time per question based on the total test time.*
04:42 🎯 *Guessing Strategies: Trust your knowledge of test maker patterns and your own answering patterns. Follow either your gut or your brain consistently for better odds. Be cautious of analogous choices.*
09:09 📚 *Use Context: Leverage information scattered throughout the test to cross-verify and eliminate answer choices. Pay attention to recurring themes or concepts in medical exams.*
10:19 ⚖️ *Partial Credit Strategy: In paired questions or those with multiple selects, consider taking a calculated loss to ensure partial credit rather than risking getting both wrong. Relevant for those aiming to pass rather than aiming for a perfect score.*
11:16 🎉 *Ending Note: Wishing happy holidays, expressing gratitude for support, and looking forward to the upcoming year.*

Have you ever taken a winter class before? If so, then can you make a video of how to do well/ace the winter course. I know that it is a tight and stressful semester and easier to fall behind while the professor is giving you so many topics in one day. But I want you to hear your thoughts or idea about it.
