Those look like tiny little fired pottery pieces!!! 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😲😲😲❤️❤️❤️❤️
Isn't it cool how one thing can remind you of something different I would have never though of. But they sure do🤩
Thank you thank you thank you! Your beads are stunning!
WOW! I can't believe how good these look with that embossing powder layer! They are super professional and pretty! Great video! Can't wait to see what you'll make with these!
thanks sweetie💖 that layer changes everything doesn't it. Me too, I better get going😘💕
I love this idea, I've done paper beads before but not with eyelets. You've inspired me again. Got my granddaughters tomorrow for the day, we are so doing this to make for their mothers day gift, necklace, braclet and earring. Thank you for sharing
oh that's such a cool idea and will make a perfect gift, have a wonderful time "beading" with your granddaughters💕
These are amazing! I love how the clear embossing powder takes them to the next level...that glossy finish just makes them more elegant. They are the perfect finishing touch on your journals. I hope I’m brave enough to try! 🌸
thanks💖 I know you are, you can do this, you go girl😘💕
Would never have thought to use embossing powder to seal them. Genius!!
thanks💖
Quite brilliant! I bought some beautiful paper beads like this from an African market, when we invited a children's choir to our church. I would never have imagined how they were made!! The embossing powder is genius! So glossy. 😃 So eager to see what you do with them 👍 Thanks. And you made it look so easy.
thanks💖cool, it's fun for kids to make and it is quite easy😉
Thank you for this easily understood and well presented demonstration. I loved the fact that you jumped straight into the task without all the usual waffle the presenters often include. I will definitely be making some of these and I hope mine come out as beautiful as your beads! I have also subscribed!
Cool to have you join me here, thanks for the lovely comment💖

paper obsession isn't all bad, lol😉 thanks💖
Thankyou Gerry. I've never seen beads made before. What a great way to use up patterned paper. 💕
you're welcome💖
I got those collage papers, I love them for my card making. I like the spin (no pun) you put on these beads! I make them like this using fabric with a cut up straw for the interior base. I have several craft books about making beads. I started jewelry making before I got into polymer clay and then card making! 🤗
they are cool aren't they, thanks💖 there are so many fun crafts to try, it's good we can experiment😉
Love these! So glossy and rich looking!

Thank you for this great tutorial. It has been too long making paper beads, and will get back to it soon. However I have never done much with the ones I made, so I am looking forward to next week’s inspiration. Hele fijne koningsdag 🥳🤴
thanks💖 there are lots of options😘
Fabulous Gerry, my granddaughters might like to see this video as they are really into making your own jewellery. I have seen this before but not made with the fun coloured cards you’ve used. Thank you so much for jogging the memory. I hope your summer has started to settle down now. Sandy 💜
thanks, great idea, this give them more options💖 Jep, it cooled down and now we are getting started again, temps are rising yet again, lol😅
@@GerrysCraftRoom oh dear, that sounds like one of our Melbourne summers, it gradually gets hotter then a storm and cools down again, typical one f our summers. I don’t remember the English summers being like that when growing up in the UK either! We are heading into spring and the bulbs are lovely to see. Take care, Sandy 💜
@@GerrysCraftRoom love it
Great short-to-the-point video! I bet a person could make their own decorative paper using tissue paper, or home-made rice paper? Paint on it anyway they'd like, etc. I bet any clear coat varnish, Mod Podge, glitter Mod Podge, or hard coat Mod Podge, would work. I'm thinking this technique would work for handles on serving trays--just on a bigger scale.
thanks💖 absolutely, DIY papers will be fun, the coat of embossing powder is a bit more Fancy and will make the beads smoother though. But your suggestions will give them a nice finish for sure as will the ones I show in the Spacer Beads video: ua-cam.com/video/BGAOUF4YlDM/v-deo.html And i love the way you think BIG, so cool😱
@@GerrysCraftRoom great good to know. I'll take a look.
Thanks! I have never made paper beads. I must make some for my planners!
thanks💖 you should, it's fun Chana💕
I really like these! Thank you!
Thanks, you're welcome💕
This is wonderful! I love your technique with the tape. It makes so much sense!
thanks💖
How do you remove the taped bead from the skewer! Great vid
@@itseclectic24 I have the same question. I understand the concept but was unclear if the tape stayed with the bead and if so, how you removed the tape from the skewer ??
Ok, this is amazing. I cannot WAIT to do this with my mother and daughter.
thanks, have loads of fun together💖
Ahh… The perfect use for the dreaded “What do I do with these patterned paper pads” Thank you so much!
I know them, yes it is😁 you're welcome💖
I made paper beads a while a go, but not for ages. You've inspired me to do them again.
cool, have fun😘💕
I absolutely love this idea. Thank you!
Thanks, you're welcome💕
Beautiful beautiful beads.

Thank you so much for all the tips and hint on making paper beads. I enjoyed the video and appreciate having the *.pdf guide as well.
you're welcome, enjoy making some gorgeous beads yourself💖
Beautiful 🤩
thanks💖
Wow love these! Thank you!
Thanks, you're welcome💕
I've seen these made so many times, but never have myself. I'm going to take the plunge, and I'm happy I found your video! I haven't seen anyone else use the paper cutting trick, where you cut them into strips then diagonals; it looks like it would be much faster than cutting the triangle strips back and forth. I also love that you seal them with UTEE, it makes such a nice finish. Plus, it would dry faster than mod podge/sealer, etc. Thanks so much for the super helpful video!!
have loads of fun🤩 Thanks, you're welcome💕
wow thanks this is a best tutorial
Thanks, you're welcome💕
I’ve done these beads too. But i used triple thick varnish. Your instructions are much better. Beautiful!
thanks💖

Your beads are absolutely

gorgeous
The necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and anklets they will make will be perfect.
P. S., I'm Gerry too, but spell it Geri.
thanks yes lots of options💖 Cool, did you know it's used more for girl names then for boys, not important, just a fun fact🤩
@@GerrysCraftRoom When your parents name you Geraldine, you find a way to make it sound better. At least that's my story, LOL.
@@user-pd7il3xz5j Clearly they didn't think it through, they had to call you when you were naughty, that's way too long, lol😅
