I love this idea, I've done paper beads before but not with eyelets. You've inspired me again. Got my granddaughters tomorrow for the day, we are so doing this to make for their mothers day gift, necklace, braclet and earring. Thank you for sharing
These are amazing! I love how the clear embossing powder takes them to the next level...that glossy finish just makes them more elegant. They are the perfect finishing touch on your journals. I hope I’m brave enough to try! 🌸
WOW! I can't believe how good these look with that embossing powder layer! They are super professional and pretty! Great video! Can't wait to see what you'll make with these!
I used to make paper beads years ago. I used clear glitter nail polish to coat them. I love the papers in this video and your beads turned out gorgeous.
Quite brilliant! I bought some beautiful paper beads like this from an African market, when we invited a children's choir to our church. I would never have imagined how they were made!! The embossing powder is genius! So glossy. 😃 So eager to see what you do with them 👍 Thanks. And you made it look so easy.
Thank you for this easily understood and well presented demonstration. I loved the fact that you jumped straight into the task without all the usual waffle the presenters often include. I will definitely be making some of these and I hope mine come out as beautiful as your beads! I have also subscribed!
Oh my! How did I not find this before!! Embissing is one of my favorite techniques and had never considered using it to seal a paper bead... I love this idea, I found my new favorite thing to do!! Thank you for sharing this❤
Great short-to-the-point video! I bet a person could make their own decorative paper using tissue paper, or home-made rice paper? Paint on it anyway they'd like, etc. I bet any clear coat varnish, Mod Podge, glitter Mod Podge, or hard coat Mod Podge, would work. I'm thinking this technique would work for handles on serving trays--just on a bigger scale.
thanks💖 absolutely, DIY papers will be fun, the coat of embossing powder is a bit more Fancy and will make the beads smoother though. But your suggestions will give them a nice finish for sure as will the ones I show in the Spacer Beads video: ua-cam.com/video/BGAOUF4YlDM/v-deo.html And i love the way you think BIG, so cool😱
So amazing. Planning to make a beaded curtain and beads I can find are boring. These are amazing, and a perfect use for that leftover ultra thick embossing powder!
I so love your beads !! Iam going to get me some embossing powders and I'm gonna sure give it a try. Such a great idea to put plain white paper underneath so you can have a nice chunky bead without using your colored paper. Fantastic, thank you so much for sharing all of this.❤❤😊

I've seen these made so many times, but never have myself. I'm going to take the plunge, and I'm happy I found your video! I haven't seen anyone else use the paper cutting trick, where you cut them into strips then diagonals; it looks like it would be much faster than cutting the triangle strips back and forth. I also love that you seal them with UTEE, it makes such a nice finish. Plus, it would dry faster than mod podge/sealer, etc. Thanks so much for the super helpful video!!
@@GerrysCraftRoom have just downloaded your cheat sheet and had a go. The problem I'm having is that the core sticks out a bit so i tried making it ever so slightly narrower and that helped. Also, I've had to switch from my bead roller to my best 5mm knitting needle because I couldn't get my eyelets to fit otherwise. What am i doing wrong?
@@dianadevlin3717 I make my “bead roller” on a skewer with tape to make it fit to the eyelet, with the inside white paper for the core just measure with the eyelet to get the perfect size and cut off a bit if needed, with the piece you cut off you’ll know the exact length for your eyelet, hope this helps💕
