I just happened to come across the video showing what you can do with the beads. I had to back up to this video and see how you made them. I love them! I'm currently working on a Christmas journal, red and green beads will look fabulous. I have all types of paper, from tissue paper to wall paper! I can get creative!😊
Ok, I'm addicted! Those are gorgeous. I made some last year using a cotter pin to wind up Christmas paper. They were not squared paper , only one end, so a long narrow triangle. They turned out ok but too shiny for me. These I adore as you can give them themes. So many great ideas. Thank you for having fun because it creates fun for us too. Have a great day.
30 thousand... Woo Hoo Congratulations! 🍾💖 🎈 🥳 💃 🎈 🥳 👯♀️ 🎈 🥳 🕺 🎈 To be honest, I would have thought you had way more subscribers than that! I never noticed, so when you said it I must admit I was shocked! But congratulations, I'm sure it won't be long before you reach the 150k+ that I assumed you must have had. You certainly deserve it! 😘 Oh look! Our *Queen Of Charms* is back! 😁 I love seeing you holding a display board of your latest charms. They're always so beautiful, but there's something so mesmerising about the way you hold them, and describe them in that sweet, soft, tentative voice of yours. I don't know if it's A.S.M.R. from your manner, but you always sound so wholesome and humble. Like you're proud of what you made, but not sure if everyone else will like them...? I love that about you, you're not cocky or egotistical, and I hope you never change...BUT... I do think you deserve to know, that you have every right to be super confident, because everything you make is beautiful. You're absolutely the *Queen Of Charms* out of all the UA-cam crafters. Trust me, there are some right horrors out there, and what gets me, is when those types of crafter, will speak to us as if we're like "Wow! Teach me 😍" when in reality it's a hot mess! Sorry, I'm rambling now 😂, but there are crafters on here, everyone will agree, that are SOOO full of themselves and their mediocre creations. Whereas you ALWAYS create such beautiful things, and yet you're still sweet and humble. You're just lovely the way you are Dragana, a breath of fresh air, just doing your thing from your heart, not ego. You deserve each and every one of those 30,000 people who like what you do, and like you for you. 💖💖💖
Oh wow, what a comment❤️❤️❤️ My eyes teared when I read it. Thank you so much for your kindness. Art is so subjective and there’s no good or bad art. I create what I like to look at and I can only hope others will like it, too. I don’t think I can change, I’m getting too old for that and I think it would be very uncomfortable to try😆. Besides, what I do here, is what allows me to be truly myself and free of any expectations. Thank you again for your beautiful comment ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this video. I use magazine strips for my paper beads. I like the idea of fabric, lace and tissue paper; of which I have a stash of all. ,🤣🤣🤣. I use several shades of nail polish, two - three coats for a nice hard finish. Some nail polish has glitter so you get a nice texture from that too. I've also used embossed aluminum. The possibilities are endless. Thank you again. 🤗🍂
So welcome! Oh, yes, possibilities are endless. I think I only scratched the surface here. I haven’t tried heat embossing them yet. I think that would look nice, too. I’ve been hoarding nail polishes for a while and I just love using them in art, more than on my nails 😆
Congratulations on reaching 30K. You deserve it. When you take the time to teach us something you go all out!!! I love how thorough you are and the huge amount of options you try to be able to share with us. You are the absolute best. ❤
Oh, my gosh, the possibilities are endless!!!! You've given us so many ideas!!!! Thank you for sharing! I love this idea of the beads but the never looked finished. Now you've given us ideas on how to finish the ends!!!!!! Thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous Dragana, love, love, love them!!! 💜🥰💜 Just got back from visiting my son in Indianapolis, and brought a bunch of beads and necklaces to make dangles from, didn't get a whole lot done and now I have to give these a try, lol. 😊 I love using clear nail polish with glitter in it to seal my beads, yep, love a little sparkle 💖 Congrats on 30,000, so awesome!!!💜💜💜
Taking-your-breath-away kind of presentation. As usually. Cat-jumping-induced printer design used in a bead? How cute! 15:20 This cellophane protection + skewer + styrofoam trick for the varnishing process is simple and helpful, thanks a lot! Also thanks for the freebie. The one with the diy plaid inspired me to take images of interesting parts of my own painty and doodle papers and create some of my own paper bead ends. I may want to make a junk journal/holder of those designs - for my own references plus a stock of ready to start crafts with my grandkids when they visit.
So glad you enjoyed it! Possibilities for customizing these beads are really vast. I’ve been making a few with my old artwork that I photographed and was thinking of making some with old black and white photos, too. I made a few yesterday with old road maps, and they turned out cool. I think kids would enjoy making some with their own artwork - those would be awesome 😊
Thank you for this interesting and wonderful tutorial 🧡 my first try didn't work because of the to small whole although it was 4mm as the eyelet too 🙈🙈🙈 will try it later again... And Congrats to over 30k, you deserve it so much 😊 😊 😊 the freebie is awesome 🧡
You’re very welcome Steffi! Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching my videos and for your kind comments every week. I appreciate it so, so much ❤️❤️❤️
Can't thank you enough for this fabulous tutorial. Thank you also for listening to your viewers. This was a great tutorial and you always give us so many options which is so great!!! Love the idea with the varnish. Thanks so much.
Those are so pretty! I make mini books with pictures of book covers. That's a great idea to use eyelets. It looks like it would be easier to use than bead caps.
Congrats on your milestone, and thanks for the freebie. These beads are fantastic, and the addition of the metal bits takes them to another level. Another wonderful tutorial.❤ Your dangles are nothing short of spectacular! Wow! Wow! Wow!!!
I feel very inspired to make paper beads, using the eyelets and snaps is brilliant! I have a pkg of eyelets that are too deep for my needs and this would be the perfect way to use them up! You demonstrated so many ideas and it will help use up some of my abundant scraps of paper, thank you! Congratulations on 30K subscribers!💕🇨🇦
Thank you so much for the video and freebie paper. I've always wanted to try making my own paper beads. I've gotten into making different types of dangles for my journals and these will be perfect!
Thank you for sharing. I have so many plain white beads that are just waiting for some new treatments. Plus I have used your new way of storing your charms. I use it for my jewelry. It has been a game changer. I am able to stay more organized and it travels well between events.
That piece of metal from your husbands tool box is called an Allen Wrench :) Not sure if you have done this, I'm only a few minutes into the video.. but if you use 2 outer ends of the snaps (the outie ends), I'm thinking it would look like a tiny scroll
Thanks for the info! I stashed that Allen Wrench in my toolbox now. It might come in handy for crafting 😆 I do say at some stage in the video that these look like little scrolls- I guess we think the same 😊
Another marvelous video!! I've been making paper beads for years, and I happen to have several of those snap buttons doing nothing in a box somewhere but I never had the idea to use them in beads. Awesome idea! One could even paint (or not if the color is nice) small plastic buttons, and glue them on the ends. Another way to finish the ends is by using embossing powder. I love the gold one. I made some horses paintings years ago, and I scanned my paintings to make images to put on my beads, they turned out amazing. Anyway, thank you so much and congratulations for the 30k subscribers! You deserve it!
Thank you so much! Love the idea of using plastic buttons and embossing powder! Scanning artwork and even old photos to add to beads gives beautiful results 😊❤️
Ohh i bet you could add mica powder to the paper varnish as well to give them extra sparkle and colour if you don't have nail Polish! Love this idea, I have made paper beads before but never thought to add eyelets to finish the ends! Thanks for the idea!
