Very good training video Alastair. I have been using Sketchup for awhile and I get by. However, you are showing us Sketchup abilities I had not considered. I use scenes and layers but never thought to save it as a template. That alone is a huge time savor. Thanks and keep the Sketchup videos coming. Always something useful to learn. 5 stars. Thank you
Just watched this for a second time. With the laptop in hand this time! I really enjoyed the layer vs hiding part. Had a play with that and found it very useful. Being able to change where a component can go from one to another, very cool and easy. Some times I forgot which layer I am working in, now I can change it it if I cock up! Also the x-ray view was cool. Very helpful and a great resource to full back on.
Brilliant series, incredibly helpful. Only problem is that i have sketchup pro 2020, and there seems to be things missing such as layers and scenes? any ideas as to how i find them or access them? Cheers
Hi, thanks for the feedback. Layers have simply been renamed as tags and otherwise work in the same way. (It’s a better way of describing how they have always worked). As far as I know scenes are still in use.
