Absolutely majestic accompaniment!! UKS Sir's accompaniment all over, Esp in the pallavi segment for " Sri Subrahmanyaaya Namaste" is the fountain head of creative accompaniment. What beauty and brilliance!! The sensitivity and the valamthalai-thoppi balance around 1:33:19 is so beautiful. The "tchus tchus" and Aahas from an appreciative audience in an intimate atmosphere, makes it a masterclass. They dont come any better. Never!!!
@ Sri Jayaram Sataluri------ Sir, its not Sankeerna Gathi. He just plays Thisra Gathi, using Sankeera jaathi Tha Dhi ki Na dhom. So, in an avarthanam having 6 beats (As its Rupaka Chapu 2- Kalai or Thisra Ekam 2-Kalai which ever way you want to conceive it), he plays 4 Tha,Dhi,Ki,Na,Dhom's.. i.e., 4x9=36 over a cycle of 6 beats, which on average is 6 maathras per beat & that in turn, is nothing but thisram. Its just another beautiful way of masking the obviousness of Thisra Gathi.
The way UKS sir played in the beginning sounded like sankeerna gathi (Tha, Dhi, Ki, Na,Dom). Didn't think it was another variation of displaying tisram. Thanks for the clarification, @arvind raghuraman sir.
You may pls listen to the thani avarthanam in this. ua-cam.com/video/YgobbbpziLY/v-deo.html The foray into Sankeerna Gathi is rather brief around 1:41:54 till 1:42:38..
@arvind raghuraman sir, thanks for these clips. UKS sir's Sankeerna gathi is enjoyable. In this, ua-cam.com/video/OZ8G83pzUs8/v-deo.html , I believe I hear a foray into sankeerna gathi from 1:57:26 till 1:58:41. Please confirm.

Well said, arvind raghuraman sir! It is indeed a majestic masterclass!
A stellar concert. Kambhoji sung with the usual grandeur and the ragamalika slokam of Balakrishna Sastry on Ariyakudi is soul touching rendition.
Thanks Shri. Jayaram Sataluri sir
