One of the main reasons I remember this bug is the old screenshot Let's Play on the Let's Play archives. They used this bug to repeatedly use balance to beat the unbeatable bass fight. The game crashes when you do this but they faked a pretty believable cutscene and pretended that happened instead.
i haven't actually gotten far enough in the LC version to test for myself but i've only heard reports of it being removed, and i know i saw ShadowRock demonstrate that on stream, so for now i'm believing that it's gone. RIP to a legendary glitch
I just tried to do this glitch in the Legacy Collection and it's totally patched out! Lame!! Thanks for confirming I still remember how to do it right after all these years, at least. Now I have to actually work for those customstyle-exclusive chips, I guess.
10:44 - "...but the 11th chip doesn't carry any of the weird negatives and risks that MissingNo. can bring about..." MissingNo. does have side effects from encountering, but there should be no actual risks. What English MissingNo. in RB does is very specific. It corrupts the Hall of Fame data because of how large its sprite is, it duplicates the sixth item in your bag because it is trying to set the seen/caught flag used by the Pokédex to either 127 or 255 respectively, and it causes battle graphics to be slightly distorted after being encountered until the game is reset, until you check the stats of a regular Pokémon, or until you look at the Pokedex entry of a Pokémon. Unless you are a person who cares about the Hall of Fame, there is no risk from MissingNo. M', which can look like MissingNo., does have a few more glitchy aspects, but is fine as long as you do not send it to the PC at Lv. 0. If you do, then the game freezes because of an issue with handling the experience. This also occurs at Lv. 1 with a number of Pokémon, including Mew, which is why wild Pokémon in RB start at Lv. 2. If this happens, you just have to release the Pokémon with the issue, in this case M'.
So that was it. I remember way, way back I somehow glitched the Foldrbak chip in Blue to be a constant draw, but I couldn't remember how because it's been like 20 years. I'll have to keep it in mind if I ever play again.
The ice head encounter can be found with the fish navicust part or maybe i think bugging the oil one? Anyways this is a PET glitch not a game glith, it's canon :).
You did a good job at explaining the glitch! For some reason when I was a kid I just didnt take any interest in it and hence never took advantage of it.
Omg I just remembered how I first learned about the glitch on gamefaqs and my jaw dropped when I was able to pull it off 😂 just like the bn2 prism glitch, they should've left it unpatched on story mode and just patch it on pvp
i changed the thumbnail a few times so i'm not sure which one specifically you're referring to... but i made all of them myself and i'm not sure where i'd link them 😅

Oh yeah, I remember this too, good times.
Do you have a link?
honestly i'm tempted to do a video about that let's play, it's pretty magical. but i'm not really sure what that'd look like...
The fact that you used Koki’s amazing remix’s warms my heart!!! I’ve followed that guy for YEARS! And their musical talent is magical!
the GOAT 🙏
Fascinating bug, great editing too. Can’t believe this came out 2h ago. Thank you youtube algorithm!
Wtf dude my thoughts exactly and I SEARCHED FOR THIS!!!
wish the algorithm was being a little kinder to this one, but i'm glad it's getting to the right people ✨
I have been informed they only removed it for legacy collection pvp but I could easily have been misinformed.

kinda wish they'd left it in the single player... but we always have the original release!

I am also happy that this video finally exists :)
thank you!! ✨
Terrific explanation coupled with KokiRemix jams, sign me right up. I love BN3
glad you enjoyed!!

thank you!! i was really worried i was just talking nonsense hahaha
Always wondered how this worked. Thanks!
same!! i'm beyond glad to finally answer the question!
Satisfactory. I really liked the video

Interesting video!
Also, that thumbnail is sick, I love it. Is there a link to it or something? 🤩

@@LevinSety Oh, the picture of Megaman is what I meant!
Do you know how to get the the folder back chip
there's a bugfrag dealer in the demon statue on hades isle who sells it for around 100 bugfrags!
I don't even know what Mega Man is but I would like to start getting in the fandom where do I start?
i'm not someone who tends to be super engaged with fandoms, tbh, but if the battle network games look cool to you i'd start just by playing them!
