Man, the glitch in ice man’s stage is the best glitch I’ve ever seen, with nearly endless possibilities that don’t fail to put a smile on my face.

My favorite glitch (if it can be considered one) is in Mega Man 3, it requires you to use a second controller, basically you hold left in the D pad and it gives you a super jump, and it can save you in pits by making you able to run in said pit. Youll hear the death sound and then become completely invincible

I wonder if that’s a glitch or just a cheat. The super jump is definitely a cheat, but I feel like the invincibility is a glitch because it ends the music and you can’t use the mega buster. (You can shoot if you have Rush Coil selected at least.)
The super jump and when you fall off of a cliff you are immortal with it and just switch to rush mode for shooting.
There's also an OoB glitch in Fuse Man's stage

Not sure if anyone else posted it, but in MM3, Gemini, if you skip the Proto scene, that's what causes the penguins to glitch.

The only "glitch" I've used is the Eddie from Megaman's 4-6. Basically, if you exit the room Eddie's in without touching the item he drops (which you can via the ladders), you can reset the room. Keep doing this and you'll eventually get a free E Tank (which isn't hard to do 'cause getting E Tanks is easy in that game). However, I only learned that from Somecallmejohnny.

Plant Man in MM6, you can't exploit since you drop into and out of the room. But almost every other instance in 4-6, I seem to recall using that.
Mega man 3 had a glitch where if you plugged in a second controller and taped down right on the d-pad, you could jump super high. Also, if you fell in a pit while doing this you wouldn't die, and could jump out again. If you stayed in the pit eventually you would "die", as in the death sound would play and your health would drop to one peg, but you could run across the bottom of all the huge bottomless pits like in Gemini Man's stage.
It's nof that much of a glitch, as a developer command

Yep I actually did! I didn't think to include it in this video because I didn't think that was really a glitch but whenever I review Mega Man 3 I'll try to remember to talk about that B)

It's funny how you always joke about not liking 8 because that's one of his faves and we watch your vids together and he's always like "HOW DOES TOOTERP NOT LIKE 8??? I’m a fan of the other Rush glitch from MM3, where as long as you aren’t on his back as Rush Jet, his energy won’t deplete, so you can greatly extend his flight. There isn’t a single gap he can’t fly using less than half his energy, including Doc Needle

If you have done best song in each game, you should.
One of my favorites is the infinite Pharaoh Shot trick from Mega Man 4. If you start holding the fire button on the weapon select screen, you can charge up without using any weapon energy. You can take out a lot of enemies by hitting them with the Pharaoh Shot above Mega Man's head. And if enemy is tough enough to make it disappear, just pause and unpause while still holding fire down, and you'll get another one, again without using any energy. You can even take out many tougher enemies by repeatedly doing this.
It also works on the Game Boy game of the same name.
"Megaman 6 is the most polished" (they forgot to give the charge buster its own sound effect)
Honestly the pause trick is so mundane nowadays that I don’t even consider it a glitch. Speaking of which the Iceman glitch is cool because you can fight a messed up version of Yellow Devil and beat it to beat the stage. Also TOTALLY agree with you about MM4 being underrated.
I discovered two glitches
Megaman 2: Use leaf shield and spam it on air man, the item get music doesn't have a certain noise
Megaman 3: in spark man doc robot, right after DOC METALMAN, there is a spike pit, by positioning yourself on the wall to the left, and holding left, the spikes will "kill you" but not actually, kill you

Well all you need to know is that it’s megaman 8 but worse in every possible way (in my opinion that is)
The Rain Flush kills Wily glitch ALSO occurs on the Game Boy Mega Man IV, apparently (It's also the only Game Boy Mega Man game to copy the Mega Man 4 and beyond trend of having the final phase of Wily use teleportation!)
Mega man 3 also had the 2nd player controller glitch.
Plug in a 2p controller and you can add super jump, invincibility, or even slowdown or freeze mega man himself.
I have some basic explanations for some of these along with a couple you might not have been aware of:
You can do the glitch in Ice Man's stage to end the game in real time as well, but it's very luck dependent. Basically you lag the heck out of the game with a bunch of drops and wiggle around in the air a bunch until the game does...something. The good majority of the time, the game just crashes or it actually resets it to the title screen. But if you got lucky enough it will finish the game too. There's also another trick in the same spot we call Triple Candy where you get 3 "point item" drops and get enough lag and certain movement that spawns in the rushing water from Wily 3, in which you use that to push you forward much faster. This is stupid hard to do and also requires a lot of luck though lol.
The Mega Man 2 Crash and Wood zips, basically what happens during these is you initiate the zips and the game puts you on the next screens coming up, but the visual is still on the same screen. So we do this to run through those long sections without interruptions from enemies and to skip the huge auto scrollers in Crash.
The Penguin's having jumbled graphics in Gemini's stage are due to skipping Proto Man, flags aren't properly set so it doesn't load them as it should, even though the hitboxes are still the same.
Killing Wily with Rain Flush is always fun haha! But there is one huge glitch that I'm either surprised you didn't mention, or am not surprised because it isn't really common knowledge. You can do a refights skip in MM4 just like in 5. However it is TAS only. Wily's room is directly UNDER the refights room, as opposed to the right in MM5. It is possible to get into it but it requires you to take damage as you exit a robot master teleporter, then it requires you to do something like 32 of 36 frame perfect inputs pausing and unpausing while using the Wire. When you zip and use the wire it pushes you downward. But Mega Man 4 kills you if you enter a wall so you MUST be in I-Frames to do it. Again, those inputs are impossible for a human, but for a TAS it's pretty huge.
The good thing with the boat skip in Wave Man is it's not hard to do. There's a very easy visual cue for it to slide and then jump. As long as you don't jump onto the water below, you're set.
I find it really funny you say 6 is the most polished. Not that I find it bad, 6 is my favorite in the entire series and I speedrun it. But the game is held together with scotch tape lol. It is notoriously hard to romhack because they tied several values together so if you change one thing it changes like 4 others. One small change literally breaks the game. But hey, as it is it works perfectly fine for me and I love it! Also, you can get into a wall in 6 to zip, but like MM4 you need to be in I-frames or it kills you instantly. Now the zip itself is...well not really a zip, more you got pushed into the wall into a single square tile. This can happen by a flipping platform bopping you into it with the really unlucky and precise timing. Or you can fight Mechazaurus and use the platforms he spawns to slide into the ground. Bomb skip...yeah hard to say that's a glitch because it's a subpixel that just happens to be there sometimes. The trick is really easy at least to perform and it saves 4 seconds, but you can't guarantee it being there.

Not sure if this is considered a glitch, but on the 4th boss of Wily’s stage in MM2 if you start repeatedly pausing and unpausing when the orbs start flashing, their shots will pass right through you and do no damage.
Cold Man is the most good Robot Master in the entire franchise. MAYBE some would say he is the best, but he is definitely the okay Robot Master out of them all. Patterns and Design and Weapon and everything. He's just the good one in my opinion. I love him.

Hi, heres one you didnt mention, that I think is worth a mention - in Mega Man 5, Crystal man stage there is a glitch used by speed runners that allows you to skip almost the entire level.
I wont link to someone elses channel on your page but search " Crystal man skip " and you will see ppl carrying out this glitch and explaining how to do it.
11:05 funny enough I’ve only got 39 in megaman 8 from the times I’ve played through it and always wondered why I only got 39 because i followed multiple guides to avoid it and even gone back into stages to check the spot there supposed to be at

That game is just what you would hope to get from a Game Boy version of that game;
it is easily one of the best Mega Man games on the Game Boy.
Just check out the track "Wily Marine Fortress", for example - that track screams "MEGA MAN".

megaman 3 surprised you didn't mention the player 2 down hold invincibility( also if you tap down on the p2 controller the moment you die you will live with no health and nothing can kill you at all)
i suggest playing the last megaman game just because. its the only one that isn't just a rehash pretty much
The Gameboy ones are a ton of fun, but they are HARD and Megaman looks huge like he takes up like 17% of the screen

Glitch/cheat from mega man 3. Hold up and right on controller 2 jump in a pit your life meter will disappear but you will be invincible you can also super jump. As for the invincible trick you can not use the megabuster

Megaman 2 on the game boy is very nostalgic for me, it has woodman, crashman, metalman and airman in the beginning, and then magnetman, needleman, topman and hardman in the later half of the game. When I found out these were robot masters from 2 different games, and then the robot masters from 2 and 3 ended up being even cooler it blew my mind. But still hearing the end credits for megaman 2 on GB is tattooed in my brain and sometimes I just hear that theme randomly
Today, I was playing Rockman on an emulator. I was on the second phase of Wily Machine 1 when I used the pause glitch with Thunder Beam, and when Wily’s health reached zero, it soft-locked the game in a state where I was in a glitched room with a teleportation machine on my left, a large weapons energy capsule, and I couldn’t move at all. What is the reason for this?

Nah, the best glitch in Mega Man 4 is using Wire Adapter in an autoscrolling segment to latch onto a ceiling, get pushed off by the screen and ZOOP! There goes Mega Man into spaaaaaace~

Mega man 3. On nes plug in a second controller and press to the right and hold. Automatic super jump. If you fall in a pit with this you can jump out. If in a pit you let go on the right direction for a quick second you die but quick press right again and jump out of the pit. You are now invincible but can’t shoot unless you use a special power. If you use an E tank or pickup life it negates the invisibility and you can take damage again.
huh that megaman 1 ACE glitch, i wonder if it is doable, the issue i see here is that to execute it correct you would need to quickly press left and down on p2 controller while triggering it, i think if someone got good at doing that with their toe they could pull it off.
In my opinion, 6 has a better glitch. The extra weapons glitch sounds cool when you hear it, but in the end is actually just a bugged save code, which sounds a lot less cool. And yet, you cant even perform it through normal gameplay because you need the E-Balancer and no bosses beaten. This is impossible because you need the power adaptor which you can only get by beating flame man. (Actually I dont know what happens if you beat flame man, get the E-balancer and then go to Plant man's stage). Speaking of plant man, that is where the glitch lies. By doing a few steps and intentionally taking damage from plant man running into your face, his already horrendous AI will decide to run back and forth for an incredibly long time. This has something to do with the fact that plant man runs for a distanced based in how far he is from the player and at a certain distance, he just runs for a very long time. And in my opinion, he is just spending his time fancying his flowers, which fits his character perfectly. That is why this is definitely the best glitch as it somehow mixes usefulness and comedy into one.
MM1 pause glitch i think is the best thats my guess and MM2 will probably be item 1 airman

From what I remember in some other video, you can actually do the glitch from Iceman manually but it takes longer than just what the TAS does... (It only consists on jumping and shooting on the highest platform)
Sorry, remembered bad, you just jump at the highest area and move quickly left and right, but the glitch would throw you back to the title screen instead, not to the credits

Uh didn't you know about the Mega Man 3 glitch if you hold the right button on controller 2 Mega Man jumps REALLY high? On top of that you can jump in pits and not die...and if you lose all energy while in a pit you become invincible as long as you dont grab energy? Geez I thought you were this Mega Man guru, I guess I'm a more Mega Man fan!....hmm well I guess one could argue this is a cheat...but oh well Im stilla bigger Mega Man fan....and uh MM4 that's not that great!
