Thanks for the reference for Red Panda, and btw I love the sunglasses !
Thank you!! I am a big fan of them too.
I, like you, had no idea about that. Thanks for the video.
It's like me learning about apples on the trail for the first time. I am surprised I had not worked that out either!!
When I went from friction type shifters on downtube to indexed gears many years ago I wondering about this. As if reading my mind, the guy at the bike shop explained it to me but he called it “feathering” which is quite descriptive.
I agree, feathering is the perfect term for it.
Didn't know it was called trimming but I use that all the time to make small adjustments on my front derailleur with Shimano 11sp Ultegra.
I am glad you get good use from it.
Never heard of "trimming" on a bike, but then I have a 1x drivetrain.
I had not heard either. That's why I thought it was worth sharing.
I have 1X on my Mountain Bike, and I must say, I am a bit of a fan.
Give it 5 years and the front derailler will be gone. 1x all the way.
I don't have a lot of 1X experience, I just have it on my mountain bike, but it would certainly make life much easier.
