Finally a clear and brief explanation for Di2 better than Shimano
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amen to that. I felt as if I was looking for top secret information until now.
That's so helpful, simple and straight forward instructions that really work without the fuss of watching a 30 min video!
I've searched the internet exactly for this... And here I found it. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
This is the best video. Sooo much easier than reading through the instructions and trying to set everything up. Thank you.
Thanks for a very easy to understand video. I purchased a new Cannondale Super Six Evo, and I was able to understand a few basic functions about the DI2 on my bike in less than 15 minutes. The sales rep at the bike store could only show me how to find the rear derailleur charging port. I found out that I need to charge the rear derailleur battery, and that it was in manual mode quickly. Thanks much.
Excellent video, brief and to the point, but yet covers all the key areas. Thanks.
Thanks! This is such a good and clear description. The guys at my bike shop didn't know how to do this. Very easy once you understand.
Clear, concise. No meandering.
Thank You!
Using E tube to configure di2
An incredibly useful and succinct guide. Really helped me on my way with my new bike. Thank you!
So happy to have these clear and understandable guidelines for the Shimano Di2 on my BMC. My bike does not have lights on the hoods for the front batteries, so the E-tube App is necessarily to check status.
Thank You So Much!!!! This is by far The Best Di2 video I’ve seen!!!
Very welcome!!!
I bought my wife a bicycle w/ Ultra and this video is super helpful to figure things out! Thank you!
Top enfin quelqu'un qui nous éclaire sur le fonctionnement de ce new dérailleur Shimano Dura Ace 12 vitesses il était temps....1 grand merci à Buycycle👌👍💪
Thank you so much. I got everything dialed in today and this video was a huge help. Canyon’s setup video doesn’t cover half this stuff.
Your video contained everything I needed to know to get started! Thank you so much.
Thank you, I was slowly going nuts trying to switch modes.
As Daniel commented below...I totally agree. Very clear and simple instructions which others should take notice of.
Thank you Frederick! Glad you enjoyed the video.
All you need to know - so well done - congrats and thank you.
Very clear video, thank you
Concise and informative. Thank you
Fantastic super clear and helpful video!
Super clear and helpful - thank you!
Glad it was! You are welcome!
Really helpful! Many thanks for the video.
That was very helpful for sure. Ive just purchased a new Bianchi OLTRE COMP with Shimano Ultegra Di2 and have zero experience and knowledge of what its all about, but its bloody amazing. Thank you
Glad it helped!
the best guide ,thank you!
thank you. Many videos are about the older types (very confusing).
Is 11 out of 10 a score you can give for simple clear and concise instructions - if so you get it! It really is ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW - thank you so much.
Brilliant video. Thanks.
Awesome Video, Thank You!
Really really excellent video mate. Dankie 😎👍🏻
Building up a DA 12 Di2. Your vid is a gr8 resource! A few views & I should be able to set up the mechs w/o relying on my LBS‼️👍‼️
Yes! Finally somebody speaking the language of the bike ignorant. Easy to understand.
Fantastic review!! Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it! Very welcome!
Excellent info thank you
I am new to Di2 and I left the Giant shop with a new bike with no explanation of how to check any of the batteries nor what the gear sync modes were and how to change them. Thank goodness I found your video. Cheers
Similar situation for me. This is a great video.
So before buying the bike you didn’t search for all the information you can find about it online 😅
@@kaylee.f oh my bad I didn’t know that, hope your okay , cars 😤😡
You would figure when dropping 6-7 grand on a bike it would leave the shop well adjusted, no?@@KenRick2010
Great video! Thanks a lot!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for such a clear demonstration, much needed and appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed it! Very welcome!
thought i was going crazy setting up my canyon that there was nothing to tell me how the Di2 works. thanks!
Quality stuff 🔥
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you sir 🙏
Can you scroll through your Garmin via the top hood buttons or do you still need the Shimano EW-WU111 Di2 wireless Unit D-fly to do this , great video , well explained
thank you
I just purchased a PInarello X5 that comes with the new Shimano Di2 system. If I want to charge my rear derailleur, how long should I plug it in for overnight? Just a few hours?
What I’d say about 12 speed is that I prefer the ratios of 11 speed and sometimes changing a gear is hardly noticeable.
Does the ultegra R8150 front/rear derailleur paired with ultegra R8170 shifters work in exactly the same way as the video?
Please help.. thanks!!!
Thanks - very useful, but I am at the point of first charge and having a lot of problems with E-Tube app. It keeps telling me that because 'There is no battery or the battery is flat, the bluetooth connection cannot be made'. I have plugged in the charger for several hours, now there is a message telling me that 'charging will stop while in bluetooth mode'. The app itself seems very slow to boot up with a long 'reading' message for a couple of minutes (reading what). The whole charging sequence is just not going to plan. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any input.
To use the e tube app with 105 di2 do you have to buy the Shimano E-Tube Di2 Wireless Unit ?
Thanks. Any way to add a 54-40 chain ring?
The more you shift the faster the battery wears down. Added 2032 coin cell batteries in the levers now. Those batteries are so commonly used in everything these days that it's getting more common to be out of stock on the store shelves. I'm staying with my 9100 11 speed Di2.
Any way setup the derailer not to default back to original settings after every charge? I have mine set to full syncro but it always defaults back to semi after charging and it drives me nuts.
For the front derailleur, I thought it was a three-step operation, not two. First Big front and little, adjust, 2nd Big Front and Big rear, adjust, and 3rd Small Front and Small Back, adjust?
Upgraded from a 11-30 to 11-32 now the rear derailleur won’t go into 32 gear even at max 18 setting on E-tube app. Any suggestions?
what about a tt bike? i cant figure a way to change to a manual mode settinf
Great video, but I mis how to connect a Garmin Edge 1030 to my bike when it is not possible to connect a D-fly to 12 speed Shimano. Can you help please. 😊
D-Fly is built into the unit now; I have mine configured into my Garmin 1030. Just add the sensor into the Garmin natively
If I travel with my bike and have to remove the derailleur for transport, will it need to be re-tuned once I put it back on my bike again or should it work just as well as it did before removing it?
Both Di2 and mechanical shifting should not need an adjustment if the settings remain the same during transport. However, through bumps while travelling the might a very small readjustment.
I got new bike with di2 105. I can't check battery status on levers. Led is not flashing at all, but I can change gears on front and back no problem. Someone, anyone have any tips?
finally no more lousy battery charging from the seatpost
YES!
Does this microadjustment of the front der. Also work for shimano di2 105 (12speed) my Front derailleur keeps rubbing in middel gear back and big gear Front. E-tube only configures the small gear in the front
Yes, it should work
Hey what if you don't have or know the passkey for the E-tube app in order to connect to the app???
I know it’s late, but the default is 000000; unless you changed it, that will be the same. If you do change it, I’ve heard there can be issues when upgrading firmware, but I may have old info now. To be sure, and not ‘brick’ my setup, I’ve just left it default.
my duraace 12 sp front der will not shift to the big ring when im in the middle of the cassette...say 19 tooth or there abouts...its fine in the lower or higher gears,,just that one,,,any suggestions??
Had the same problem, turns out I was missing a front derailleur “support plate”. Once added, big ring no worry
Battery status indicator is at least from the 90’s.
Three times the price of the mechanical set is bull mud
The "How To" to adjust the indexing doesn't make sense. In adjustment mode, he says to "shift up till it sounds like it wants to shift, Then shift down 5 clicks"... That makes no sense and it doesn't work.
I think you'd have to go out of adjustment mode. Just like the Shimano E Tube app, the instructions are wrong or incomplete, and you have to decipher the info and figure it out.
Micro adjust up the cassete until the chain starts to rub on the next cog. Once you hear this rub then click 5 time back down.
Warum sind Titel und Untertitel auf Deutsch, wenn der dann Englisch labert? Unverständlich! Click bait oder was?!
ITS NOT CYCLING ANYMORE! BUUUUHHH!
It’s all the same, 1 more coge
Shimano are a disgrace...withdrawing E-tube support for the 100,000s of people who still have 11 speed. Not good enough for you, eh?
