I love how the camera crew gets more involved lately. It just makes this feel like a group of friends chilling out and enjoying life.
That is actually who they are. They have made a living doing something that was a hobby when they were teens.
“Ducky try this” is my favorite line
I'd say they actually never changed, they might have tried to be more professional, the interaction was always the core of the show... (much like most Korean Variety show where the cast is very interactive with off screen staff members from PD to their own stylist/ coordinator )
Wouldn't be funny and fitting if the crew were to start sitting with Josh and Ollie and they have to hire a whole new camera crew?
living the American dream it’s nuts to think that UA-cam enables people all around the world to live their best lives
"We've got a long-distance relationship with american meat",Ollie always has the best introduction to these intro
I have never ever liked sauerkraut! Before I even knew what sauerkraut was, I use to think it was just a disgruntled German! 😂
🤣 Such a solid liner@@ritchievernon8099
I would like a short - distance relationship with Josh's meat.
Has me blushing
The moans do not help. Or does it? hahaha
We want a sequel trip where jolly brings their wives back to try their favorite texas and lousiana spots.
I second this notion!
I agree as well
Yes pls!!!!!
Yes do it!
How about Chris too?
You guys are some of the few Brits/Europeans who don’t drag on America on the internet. You seem to really value what America has to offer, and as an American, I really appreciate that. I know our country has a lot to fix, but thanks for taking our food with the pride and intention we do. Genuinely makes me glad to see.
Well, it doesn't take Freud to figure out that the people dragging on American would take a green card in a heartbeat.
Agreed
At this point everyone has something to fix it seems that corruption is running rampant in most countries
Who cares what a bunch of WOULD BE NAZIS think.
Beautifully said. I completely agree! 👏👏👏
I love this channel for showing actual foods of the US. Too many people who've never been to the US have this notion that American food is just fast food.
True, I have a friend who visited Florida and he said “I tried an American classic, McDonalds!” And I wanted to slap him.
Life long Texan. I can't imagine how tasteless the UK foods must be.
@@asyouknowmesoiam classic joke is that they have to conquer other territories just to know what flavor is.
@@asyouknowmesoiamI know breakfast there was - well - awful! Every hotel had the same thing with little difference. Canned “pork n beans”, that awful sausage - black blood I think- toast and boiled eggs (yea!)
Thank goodness for the yogurts and cereal!!! I later learned about beans on toast. I can’t imagine anything more difficult to eat! I think it’s something our parents may have had during the depression!
Clearly you weren’t hitting the proper breakfast places 😂
Brussels Sprouts are 100% a bbq food, but they are not a tailgate food. Two different things.
What’s tailgate food?
@@Sergote12food before football game
@@Sergote12 Tailgating is heavily connected to football culture. Basically before/during/after the game people would collect behind the back of a truck loaded with food and drink to pregame/watch/celebrate the game.
This is debatable lol
@@Sergote12 Essentially food/drinks you have outside of usually NFL or College Football stadiums prior to entering in their parking lots as well it's fun to do and food within the stadium is usually overpriced.
I love how much Ollie seems to enjoy southern food in particular. His joy actually looks like it exceeds Josh's which is shocking!
Especially since Josh is the much more seasoned “foodie”, he enjoys lots of foods that were out of Ollie’s comfort zone. Ollie had definitely gotten WAY better, but we just have lots of memories of him being on the fence about a lot of food.
So when he LOVES something like American BBQ, it stands out so much more! I just really enjoy seeing them both so happy
@@Crying2Death also especially when ollie's tastebud was described to be ultra sensitive in the DNA test the did
@@Kaastengels I am a fairly new fan and didn’t even hear about that! Thanks for the info, that explains a lot about him!
There is a short segment at Brennan's where Ollie just stares at the camera with a dazzled look of love on his face. Hilarious. As a person who also has a sweet touch, I fully
understand. I am the type of person who would visit NOLA just to eat my way through town, then spend six months getting rid of the weight. Worth it.!
Josh and Ollie, I have a restaurant in the Atlanta area. The restaurant is Heirloom Market BBQ. It's a little roadside barbeque joint, but what makes it unique is that it marries Korean spices with American barbeque (including side dishes). Jiyeon Lee, a former K-Pop singer from South Korea, and Cody Taylor, a Texan are the husband and wife owners and chefs of the restaurant.. They have won many culinary awards for the unique fusion of Korean and Southern staples on their menus. That would be a worthwhile trip for the two of you. Bring Gabby if you can.
I live in the Atlanta area. I'm going to pay your restaurant a visit. Sounds good.
Hmm, I'm half way to Athens but might try to get there and try it out if I am in the area for some reason.
Sounds amazing! I hope they check it out! ❤
Holy crap, I’ve been there. They really should visit this place, the humble atmosphere is juxtaposed against the AMAZING food quite beautifully in a way that is distinctly American
Ill be working in Atlanta next month for a few weeks, I'm going to come check it out, that sounds delicious
The thing about BBQ is, something Ollie said in the Terry Black episode. A great BBQ spot is some of the best food you will ever eat, akin to a 3 michelin star restaurant. But it is served in a setting so casual, chill, and unpretentious that its accessible to anyone.
Yep, nothing pretentious about it. Hopefully. Otherwise I get up and leave, lol.
So true.
all the top rated spots are hipster places now and the prices are ridiculous.
I've been to crazy expensive michelin star spots and I can't say it wasn't worth it. It truly is an experience that goes beyond just each individual plate. I do recommend, if you have the means of course, try a multi-course michelin meal at some point in your life.
That being said, food trucks, hole in the walls, and roadside restaurants will always be king in my books. Nothing beats generations of culture and tradition being fed to you with love from people that grew up eating it. To me, the best food in the world comes from dingy little spots where the workers barely speak English and have their kids wiping menus in a booth. I'll take abuelita over Gordon Ramsay every day of the week.
As a Louisiana native I am so glad to see y’all eating some of the great Louisiana food that is so much of our culture.
I love how into it Ollie is. He's like one of us.
They did another EP where they did gumbo and jumbalaya
They should have gone west and at least hit up Lafayette for the real Cajun food.
The thing I love about Ollie is whatever he likes I TRUST and whenever he doesn't like I TRUST 😅 cause Ollie Does Not Lie!!!
This!
I like Luke's reaction to good food. It's so subtle but conveys his joy sufficiently lmao
We need to have an episode with Luke and Ducky being in the front tasting everything first - I love their reactions to the food. Worth more screen time!
Hi, I’m Luke
And I’m Ducky
This is Lucky
@@KhanhTheLearneraye 😂😂😂
A BBQ and tailgating are two different things! You can serve anything at a barbecue. But tailgating food is very specific. It is very meat centric and vegetable sparse! 😂
I love that you’re including the production crew now in the videos. It’s nice to see everyone’s opinion expressed. And I so appreciate Luke for covering his mouth when he eats, ahem. What a gentleman!
Yeaaaah. Tailgating is like a Fair. You're liable to find anything from normal to wild.
I could careless about someone covering their mouth. Don't want to hear them smacking into their mic's. Covering your mouth makes you look like a little Japanese or Korean school girl. Nothing gentlemanly or manly about it
That's what I LOVE about this channel .... they are all so nice and respectful of one another and the servers......
I’ve found tailgating to be sort of all over the place lately. I grew up tailgating with just hamburgers and hotdogs, potato salad and mac and cheese. Lately I tailgated visiting Atlanta and they had these pimento cheese sandwiches, as well as pork bbq - both delicious. And up in Chicago it was all sausages. Amazing sausages, but literally all sausages.
I think it's time for Luke and Ducky to be in front of the camera and have their own episode. They deserve it.
Actually, everyone behind the camera deserves their own food episode!
It's likely they highly _prefer_ to be behind the camera....
I can tell you exactly where crime meets BBQ. I was camping with my family for a week in Florida. We smoked a piece of meat every day so we could enjoy the springs and bike paths during the day then have an amazing meal waiting for us when the sun set. Well about the 4th day someone decided they needed our dinner worse than we did and stole a whole turkey and two Boston butts(pulled pork) from my smoker. There's been a lock on it ever since
I think you need to do a British highschoolers series again and bring them on a BBQ tour this time...
EDIT: And before any of you mention the complexities of international travel, they took the previous group of high schoolers to Korea and even had the budget to give them money to run wild in the market on their own.
That would be hilarious.
That would be awesome!
I second this
That would be an interesting video, seeing how British High School kids would react to Southern BBQ, whether it's Texas, Louisiana, the Carolinas etc
They did it! They visited two of the highschoolers once they went to uni and they brought bbq. It was great.
I’m glad you’re showing more of the team. Makes me glad they also feel confident in trusting your guys opinion on food too.
Agreed. Everyone plays off everyone really well. Hearing everyone get to chime in is a lot of fun
This. This is why I love to cook. People getting so excited when they taste the flavors you make is such an incredible, indescribable feeling that just completely fills your heart up. I love these videos so much
I find it really flattering to see people from other countries enjoying our foods.
When foreign people tries "American food" on YT is my new favorite niche. As a Arkansan all of the food near us is great, I am glad to be apart of the south with all of the different places doing somethings completely different yet so homely at the same time.
Relatively new Arkansan myself actually, came from California, mostly for a fresh start away from all those policies and the awful affordability of the state, but especially the amazing food and environment. I thought Southern food was amazing before I got here, but now that I'm actually in the South, it's like nothing I've ever experienced! Haven't had one thing I didn't love. Even the cornbread is somehow just better even with virtually identical ingredients!
Pig Sooie from a fellow 5 th generation Arkanasan
I love they’re eating ribs and he goes, “I thought it was going to be tough…”
Well what the hell do they serve in British restaurants!? I’m going to the “Tough Meat Cafe” where I pay to eat poorly cooked food!?
As a native Texan who also lived in NOLA for 10 years, I must say you guys have scored some of the absolute best food America (southern) has to offer. NOLA will spoil you forever.
I’m a Mississippian and I pine for Nola food 😭
@@ranchdressingisablessing8082 Same. Those cracklings look especially good to me right now, and I'm more than a little jealous that I can't hit that place up cause I'm currently stuck in Georgia instead of back home in Mississippi where NO is just an hour and a half away.
I’m from Louisiana and a fan of this channel and it’s been great watching yall try some of our delicious food! I’m proud to be Louisianans from our food, traditions, to culture. I appreciate yall trying it and enjoying it!
Ollie is so hilarious, "Love you Lizzie."
I’ve never been more proud to be an American and a Louisianan than while watching this video…

But like this is all we have here. Beer and food... we can't really do much else. Not like we have much to distract our selves from... you either golf or cook let's behonest. And hence you don't need a good shape to golf hence the gold cart it's selfimproving environment of making delicious food.
True... but I still cringed whenever they said New Orleans. 😂

USA USA USA USA!!!
I do enjoy Luke sampling everything. The look in his eyes is always like he’s about to well up with joy.
Luke seems to grow a greater appreciation with each video
My wife and I are here on our anniversary! We're sitting at the same table y'all did.
😂😂😂 I haven't seen Ollie eat so enthusiastically in a while... I love it. His faces are the best!
My grandfather grew potatoes in Idaho, U.S.A. He grew them during and after WWII. He would harvest those same massive russet potatoes. When we visited him, we would always come home with a sack of 50 pounds of spuds. Sometimes, one of those potatoes would be enough for our entire family of five (as a side).
I love seeing your production crews reaction. Everyone has such a unique experience w the different dishes.
I'm from Louisiana and watching y'all eat our food and fall in love with each bite is what life is about.
As someone who's born and raised in America it always brings a smile toy face to see these guys try food in America lol, they're always excited
You all are so fun to watch and this old lady always gets such joy watching your adventures!
One of my favorite parts of this American food series has been when you guys try something new and it's so good your eyes almost pop out of your head and you just sit there in total silence. You both look like you're just having an existential crisis and it cracks me up.
These two guys are truly great. Tremendous ambassadors of the UK. 😊
What would we do without Ollie? His sense of humor and sense of the droll are THE BEST!!!!
Oregon and Idaho are the major potato growing region of the US. Fun fact, giant potatoes are a side effect of any high yield potato farm. But the market for comically over-sized potatoes is not large, and historically, after using the big ones for seed potatoes, there were always lots of potatoes too big to sell. Before extruded fries and chips became a thing, producers came up with tater tots to use up the biggest spuds, and an American food staple was born.
Ollie's American doppelganger is sitting right behind both you guys!! 😳😵💫
That is wild!!!!😳
HA! GOOD CATCH! LOL

If only he had turned around
😮
From watching you both sample treats from all over the world too here now. You both are a joy to watch, nothing has changed.
Also luv how you share the food with your team..wish this happened more often with other food channels.
Keep up the good work
Ok, my mouth is watering 🤗 Southern food in general is off the charts … much love goes into their prep & cooking! Slow and steady wins the race!
My kids died at the Pokémon reference 😂 well done! And so glad y’all enjoyed! Wonder what Mr. Z is thinking while watching y’all enjoy such amazing food?!
I'm 37 and I died laughing at that!
Screw Mr Z

Im happy you guys enjoyed Louisiana and our mixture of great food.
I couldnt stop laughing. You guys are authentic, funny as heck and just all round wholesome!
I am so happy to see you guys sharing with the crew! It's awesome and sets you way ahead of other reviewers for me.
5:56 Take note brits, this is a chicken sandwich, not a chicken burger.
I love how you show the rest of the crews reactions to tasting the food.
Luke’s face when he has something tasty is one of the most precious things I’ve ever seen.. and I have 4 kids 😂
We just witnessed a legit Foodgasm. Ollie’s eyes said it all in this video.
Love the vids mates. Keep it up and hope to see you… Jolly soon.
Olly is entitled to his WRONG opinion about baked potato soup! 😂 I love these videos. They help me decide what I'll be having for dinner! They always make the food look so good!
You know the food is fabulous when Josh hits his “Oh, Baby” refrain and Olly, eyes closed, rocks back n’ forth in ecstasy. The boys had me in stitches when Louisiana’s killer BBQ reduced them to just happily repeating “America”. Yup, ‘Merica…. though here Brussel Sprouts still aren’t tailgating’ food. Just a regular yummy restaurant side, brother. Sorry!
As a Louisiana native, I’m so happy yall made it to NOLA! Our food is next level and I’m happy yall are getting to experience it
So I live in New orleans and have been to blue oak bbq and imo its alright. I don't care for their garlic Mac and cheese it's not very good.
Keep up the fun food tours! You two are so fortunate to have such an excellent crew. It's great to see both of you take the time in your show to include everyone. You all look like a family really having the BEST holiday all the time! I'm truly impressed that none of you have bashed the Americans obesity, or health problems due to this type of eating. Looking forward to more laughs.😂
I really feel like Lizzie and Gabbie need to be there for that BBQ or for a trip to the south. Also the Rev needs some southern love
Yep, baked beans here in the states is mixing them beans with some nice leftover beef, bacon, hot dogs, etc. and some quality bbq sauce and baking it in a pan.
Don't know if they use stuff like molasses (or black treacle) or not. A little hot sauce never hurt anything. Maybe a little bit of onion sauteed to a mush. Garlic, a touch of honey maybe.
The sheer excitement Josh & Ollie are putting out is hilarious! 'Merica!
So glad you guys love barbecue!! Burgers (which ARE from america btw) and BBQ are in my opinion the absolute Kings of American food. Few foods compare.
That's an Idaho Russett potato for sure. They are massive. :-)
first seafood, now BBQ, doing the full Southern diet!
Yeah, people don't often seem to think "BBQ" when they think Louisiana, but boy do we love it.
Josh’s eyes can’t get big enough 😂 I love that they’re so mind blown every time, when bbq places get it right it’s like otherworldly lmao
I lived in New Orleans for almost a decade and recently moved to FL. This series has made me miss that city. The food, people, and culture is like no other place. ⚜️
Luke and Ducky need to be bigger parts of these vids. Grow the Jolly fam!
And Adam!
The people at JOLLY need to host a British food summit where they invite chefs and other food people from around the world to educate the UK food scene on how to improve things for their customers.
They could subtitle it: more than just salt and pepper.
@@-Subtle-Disagree, we want English, Brits, etc. to keep, coming to the US
🥴 not sure it would be considered a friendly gesture. I’m sure they think their food is great. Ignorance is bliss 🤷🏼♀️
@@carlabenton2746have you seen any of jollys videos? 🤣 they don’t mind saying their food is bad. Of course not all of it is but UK isn’t gonna be a place people wanna go to eat amazing food. Outside of some big fancy restaurants

Love the way these brits talk about southern food. Warms my heart. Love from the 🇺🇸
this makes my heart so happy. so glad y'all got to Louisiana to get some good food. 🥰 Now can y'all do a video where you bring those sweet lil high school kids (and their principal) to Louisiana with you? The video of them eating the biscuits & gravy is my favorite lol. so precious!
I love how the tailgating episode just haunts you guys randomly 😅. It was a REALLY cringe episode to watch as an American. But thank you for not just brushing us off and actually owning up to it with the constant reminders. You two are a very humble duo ❤
I'm so glad y'all enjoyed yourselves!
4:37 I really thought their eyes were gonna pop outta their heads. 😂😂😂😂
As a Cajun, watching you guys love our food makes my heart so happy!
I literally went there yesterday 😭😭
I absolutely love that place, me and my family always get the all meats all sides, we are never able to finish because it comes with so much food so we just take the rest home.
For those looking to go to Blue Oak I recommend going earlier in the day because when evening comes they are sold out in a lot of stuff.
Glad y’all enjoyed
There is nothing else in the world like southern BBQ. So glad y'all enjoy. :D
Josh’s facial expressions crack me up every time! The way his eyes roll back. 😂
This past April I needed surgery to correct an issue with my stomach. Essentially my stomach decided it did not want to be my stomach anymore and wanted to be I don’t know… Maybe another organ. Ironically, as a US citizen, I first noticed a real problem on Thanksgiving last year. Watching you guys revel in the delicious food you get to eat fulfills a longing that I can no longer satisfy. For that I am ever grateful! And BTW, ribs are awesome! Thing two you need to come to Baltimore and try our crabs! Way better than the southern ones!
you know the food is insanely good when they started speaking bunch of hilarious nonsense after they're done eating🤣
Love the way Luke is getting more involved in these videos, his reactions are priceless hahaha
I know its unrelated to this video.
I just saw a clip of Josh and Ollie at the buckingham palace for the state visit by S. Korean president.
They were seating beside the blackpink members!
Cant wait to see a video on this (hopefully there will be one)
I love how they're chowing down talking about the foods and Luke is just over there eating the cracklin'!!! 😂
Loved good BBQ. As an American and regular tailgater, you got heat cause you’ll never find brussel sprouts at a tailgate. It’s definitely eaten at restaurants and as a side for meats. Just not a typical tailgate snack.
Time to give you the heat, because it is certainly part of our tailgating and has been for decades.
Probably just not where you are.
@@-Subtle- Yah, I went to school and live in the east coast. I tailgate at college football games and I’ve never seen Brussel Sprout sliders at anyone’s tailgate.
Love how you guys share it with the crew because of how good it is and you want to share the experiece. Super wholesome. Always good too see everyone enjoying a moment.
Being from 🇬🇧 doesn’t matter you two are officially AMERICANS! American food incorporates everybody’s culture welcome boys!

There's a restaurant here where I live, that serves "Fried Brussels Sprouts with shaved apple, bacon, pistachio, and a bourbon honey molasses gastrique" They're wonderful 😋
Watching Josh compare baked potatoes to Pokemon and struggling so hard made me die laughing.
I watch all of these videos. I just hope it is their true feelings. I totally enjoy see people enjoy new food. Awesome!!!!!
I'm originally from Manchester England now living in Texas. BBQ is absolutely rockin over here.! 😂
I have yet to see them try fried green tomatoes....ever. They need to
Yes! I discovered them probably 5 years ago and fell in love 😍 a fried green tomato blt w/ chipotle mayo 💕
I think they did in one of their Georgia videos ??
Just give me a big plate of fried green tomatoes and I’m happy.
1:15 man said sichuan flawlessly
So happy to see the crew getting to enjoy too! Good BBQ is something Louisiana does perfectly
I think you said it perfectly at the end… we care about our food. Like how overseas they care about their football or culture and they’ll do anything for their team to succeed, that’s how we are about all of our food. I can’t tell you how many arguments I’ve seen over who does chicken the best from chickfila, popeyes, kanes, kfc, etc and that’s not even the biggest food discussion
Olly literally opened up this video with a banger, I haven't stitched up in the first 20 seconds of a video in awhile.
Ollie is like the best friend ever.
How is it that I just ate dinner and now I’m hungry again watching this!?!?
really like that you give operator to taste it. we all know how food bloggers reacts, but operator reaction is priceless)
When Ollie gets excited, that when you know it's really good. Lol
I'm glad the camera crew gets to try and we can see their reactions also.
9:40 the way you guys ate these beans is amazing. Didn’t even breathe before getting more. Haha
These videos are the best. I re-watch them over and over especially when I'm eating to get me hungry.
I love how Josh always says “oh baby” whenever he’s in his happy place with food 😂😍
This whole trip to Louisiana for the entire team looks to be a life changing food moment with several core memories. I hope there are some videos of you guys giving it a go to recreate some of this food you've tried at home or if someone lends you their professional or commercial kitchen space.
I'm from Louisiana and, hearing them talk about the foods I grew up with compared to what they have makes me never want to leave
I knew a guy that worked on a job for Simplot in Idaho. He was a sheet metal worker, and told me about the roofers' lunch. They would pick the biggest potatoes they could find (he said the were not that much smaller than a football), and throw then in the tar tank. After a little while they would fish then out, and set them aside. Once the tar had hardened they would chip it off and have a potato for lunch. Roofers are a different breed.
That BBQ was so good it's almost criminal! There, Ollie, full circle.
