I bought an Orange Crush 12, a Roland Cube GX 10 and a Fender Frontman 20G last summer. Already had a Blackstar ID Core 20 V2. Just sold 3 of the amps, kept the Orange.
I kinda hate this video cause it made me reconsider this amp😂 I had pretty much decided on the katana mini cause I didn't like the crush 12 sound in most other review videos. Just too overly aggressive. But you really created a very even and well balanced sound with it. Great video. Now on to the Katana review😂
Thanks man. what I like about the Katana is the "reverb"/delay function. If the orange had that it be a no brainer. I'll use it with my Jazzmaster, and probs won't play very metal stuff. Can your recommend between the two in that case?
@tinandgonic3927 I personally prefer to have some type of time effect with my playing, like reverb or delay, so immediately I say the Boss Katana...but the Orange is louder and you could always put a pedal with it, but since there is not a FX loop, it might sound wonky. If you're looking for volume, the Orange all day. If you're looking for effects and more control over EQ, the Katana is the way to go.
That full mix demo sounds great! (The other demos too, of course!) I haven't played live in forever and I love how companies have put focus into making great sounding small amps. Also nice for condo/apartment dwellers.
Thanks, I always try my best to get my mixes to be the best they can! It's really nice for anyone in close quarters. Small amps are just overall great options for the most part nowadays.
Had one for two years now. I playing pretty much all metal through it. Treb 6. Mids 0. Bass, G snd OD all on 10 lol. It's really screams in my small apartment. I have a Fender Hotrod Deluxe for a clean amp, and my neighbors thing the Crush is loud? The Fender on 2 rattles windows lmao.
I got the same fender amp and love it ,sold my Marshall so but think I'll get the 12 crush for a easier practice amp ,and yeah the fender cranks and I too get the neighbors to put up with it though even at bad hours of the night. The guy upstairs says he gets inspired whereas his girlfriend is the one pounding on the floor and digs not so much but she's a bit of a bitch so this is all good lol trust me it isn't cranked
the recordings you show 8:00 and beyond were all made without any pedals? If so, this may be the best amp you can get in brazil for the price it is right now
Orange always sounds nice but this model is a practice amp and with no aux in or separate control for the ear phones and aux in I honestly don’t know why these companies do this ridiculousness imho
I think the aux in features on amps are pointless. I just play the song separately on a different speaker and play along that way. But again, to each his own, no hate!

Never tried the Roland, but I've heard a lot of great stuff about the Cube. The Orange is a good one to keep, though. Very unique sounds.
You're crazy. 😂

It's all about just messing with it and, especially if using it for recording, moc placement and blending the direct sound. It's a cool amp!

Awesome that helps! Thanks for the input, defo subbing to your channel!🙏🏻
Try removing the back panel (just remove the 4 screws). I did it on mine and it sounds bigger and less boxy.
This amp sounds better than the Orange Crush 20 in every demo I've watched. The 20 always sounds cheaper/flubbier/boxier
Just goes to show bigger isn't always better!

Disturbing the neighbors. Nice. 😂

But why mic the badge vs the speaker cone edge?
I dunno. Why not?
One of the few videos that properly shows off the metal tone. I may have to go for this one based on this!
It's a great little amp if you're looking for a distinct tone on a budget!
Went for the Crush 20 in the end. The difference in the UK was only around $18 so I figured it made sense. Thanks again for the content!
I love that riff at 7:54. I grabbed this amp and an axe today after a long break in playing, feels good man!
Thanks, man! Glad to hear you got back into it!

No pedals were used, all of the sounds are from the amp itself!

I love the matching les paul
Thanks! ⚡️🦩
May need to get one of these for my "kids" yahmean? LOL
They may need a new guitar to go along with it. 😉
@@Electric.Flamingo that's why we boiz 🤣
It has both Gain and overdrive?
Yes, I assume in lieu of having a button or something to switch channels, you can turn some knobs and clean/dirty it up.
@@Electric.FlamingoIt sounded familiar me. Peavey used to have amps that had a Gain and Saturation control. The Saturation worked like an overdrive.
