Riding dirt bikes through some of the most majestic areas of the USA. We camp in the wild along the trail and struggle to keep our bikes in working condition in this extreme nature. This journey is a dream for Adventure riding. We ride Honda XR 650 R and film most of this travel documentary with a GoPro and iPhones. Retiring in 3 months, I'm planning to do this with one of my best friends, he doesn't know it yet... he has done it once but said the lead guy had an agenda to cover so many miles each day! My thoughts are, no timelines, however long it takes us is what it is! Thanks for videoing your trip, it has inspired me to start planning ASAP!
Thank you for watching and im so happy to hear it was inspiring. That’s how I tried to do my planning aswell. You will have a journey of a lifetime and if you take your time there will be some nice towns and sights along the route. Let me know how it was. Godspeed🛵
hope this plan is in motion! Congrats on retirement btw
How's the trip planning going?
That was EXCELLENT Peter!!
Thank You! 🙏
Thank you very much! I hope it was inspiring.
Very inspiring. I think mousse would have been a good choice in the deserts.
Yes thats very true. And it would have the Perfect softness for the sand.
Definitely one of the most entertaining TAT videos I have witnessed. I would’ve liked to seen Tennessee and North Carolina water crossings especially the Whitt Road crossings
Thanks! Those water crossings you mention were quite deep and a LOT of watersnakes! Only managed to capture One of them on Camera through.

super nice tour...
Yes it was awesome!
Tell me more about your bikes you rode! Year, make, model, displacement, upgrades, etc!!@
Honda XR 650. Apart from a luggage rack and handle bar risers we didnt change anything.
What bike do you recommend? I’ve seen alot of adventure bikes but I’d like to get somthing lighter
im thinking 701, best of both worlds
Awesome trip, Pete!😁 ..do it again!
Thanks Kriller!

Nice
Thank you for watching.
Peter how often did you have to change your carbs settings?
Only once in the Rockie Mountains due to higher altitude but it would have worked without adjustments. Kristoffer had a malfunctioning Carb from L.A to Moab Where we had a new one shipped. So for a week he struggled with his throttle getting stuck in full Rev.
@@PeterMonsler thanks for that info. I’m planning to ride an XR650R for my TAT adventure next spring as well. I will be sure to get a high altitude needle for sure. I’m in Utah but plan to start on the East Cost. Have you posted more details about your trip somewhere?
Drunk people with guns are my kind of folks, I am in!
So, it was really interesting watching this video right after another video made by a woman who rode from the southern tip of South America to Alaska. One person is talking about how they almost got their finger pinched in a rat trap. The other is showing how they nearly got knocked off the side of a mountain by an oncoming semi in Ecuador on a single lane road. Very different travel stories.
Yes indeed. If you dig a little bit deeper into my other videos you Will find stories such as: smuggling a ATV into Russia, running out of fuel in the middle of the worlds most remote desert and totalling a ktm somewhere in the moroccan waste lands. Thanks for watching and your feedback. See you out there
Nice video. How did you get the gps tracks? I tried to contact this Sam Correro but not luck
Thanks, we got them off GPS-Kevin. He maped his own.
Do a google search for OneManTrail GPX tracks
