This is like the fourth or fifth time I’ve seen a UA-cam channel get hacked like this. Usually the videos are privated, not deleted, and used to shill crypto scams. This the first ChatGPT version I’ve seen but the MO is the same. Depending on the channel’s popularity it will usually take 3 days to 3 weeks to get fixed. Just be patient.
I had a Billiam vid in my watch later which is now showing as privated which I’m hoping is a good sign that nothing was actually deleted like you say, I hate to think how many people will just unsubscribe after getting notified for that video not realising what’s happened
there is a scam going on where they impersonate actual brands like blackmagic design and make a really professional sounding email/website etc offering partnerships with youtubers, getting them to download a file that looks like a form to sign but actually logs their browser data and steals their accounts :((( many have been scammed by this recently and youtube isnt doing anything about it

I unsubscribed without knowing it was Billiam, I assumed either Tesla payed for people to be randomly subscribed to its channel or I somehow accidentally subscribed to Tesla

I unsubscribed from the channel earlier because it was under the title of "Tesla" and claimed to be Tesla US, and I was pissed that I got a notification from a channel I would never subscribe to. I resubscribed in case he gets his channel back. He's become one of my comfort channels as of late and I know he puts so much hard work into what he does. As someone who doesn't use Twitter and hardly opens Instagram, I'm grateful for creators using their platforms on UA-cam to let us know when the community has an issue.
What I’m hoping this video leads to is Billiam and Quinton Reviews crossover. Specifically something involving Garfield and Scooby Doo. But obviously Billiam should get his channel back first.

I saw the hacked live stream and immediately thought "oh no, someone clicked one of those google ads that show up as searches again." RogersBase just had this happen to him and he only got everything back up in the past two weeks, so I can only hope Billiam does not have as much trouble as Roger did in getting control of his channel back and putting his videos all back up.
Billiam is also one of my favorite UA-camrs. This also happened to Megan Rinks and it took her forever and making a call out video to UA-cam for her to get her channel back :(
A couple channels I’ve seen have had the same thing happen- so bad but UA-cam was able to help them (and they are smaller than Billiam) so there’s hope 🤞

This just happened to Leona’s Workshop and she made a video detailing what happened and how she got her channel back, but she lost a solid chunk of subscribers who didn’t realize what they were unsubscribing from.

I was *just* trying to figure out which channel I’m subscribed to got hacked this time when this video showed up at the top of my home page. So, thank you for letting me know. I was just watching old Billiam videos the other night. Real messed up how the algorithm is sharp enough to pinpoint that there is an uptick in discussion about Billiam and promote the relevant videos, all while his hackers happily continue to shill their bs standing on Billiam’s back because I guess the UA-cam back end still hasn’t done anything about this recent (and extremely transparent) trend yet. You’d think after it happens several times, a channel suddenly privating all videos and changing all their branding to Musk/Tesla/AI and starting a related livestream would be worthy of ticking off a “suspicious account activity” box at this point.
I highly suggest Billiam's Scooby Doo retrospective. It's equal parts hilarious, entertaining, and it isn't super long. If he gets his account back that is. If you wanted something long, watch those LOST videos he made.

I had that show up in my subscribers videos and just unfollowed, not realizing it was a youtuber i follow that got hacked. Its scary that someone can take over an entire channel like that. Hope he gets it back
For everyone concerned about the channel's termination, it's highly likely UA-cam and Billiam are in the midst of the process of recovering it. The termination is to keep the hackers from continuing to cause more damage using his account and large follower base while he gets it back. This does mean that unfortunately, they still do have the account, or at least have changed the ease of access for him to get in (so verification methods, passwords, so on), the next step is Billiam recovering his Gmail and therefore his UA-cam, in which UA-cam will in turn remove the termination once he confirms this. You can see how this whole scam works on the UA-camr Leona's Workshop's channel, though I'm sure others have talked about it.
@@funnyclown2514Oh I'm not denying the seriousness of the situation at all, it's very troubling as a whole and the stress of it must be unimaginable. I just see people under the assumption UA-cam permanently terminated his channel out of an incorrect misunderstanding of the situation and while I don't want to give UA-cam any credit that's not deserved (this shouldn't be such a massive problem to begin with, for one), it's best if everyone not panic since the most likely case happening right now is just the waiting period to see if Billiam can regain access into his account. That itself is more dreadful to me as his whole Gmail was compromised and it might be difficult for him to get back in and if any other accounts were connected to that email, like social media, it's likely they've been compromised, too. It's an incredibly stressful and sad situation all around and all we can do is report and hope for the best and raising awareness of the scam, and how it can severely impact UA-camrs, and their careers and livelihood, especially with how difficult this scam is to manage for smaller channels.

I can't believe this happened. I looked up his channel only to see it was gone. Hope they restore his channel to the way it was.
I tried to look up Billiam on UA-cam. Sure enough, the first result was ChatGPT Live, whose only video is a livestream about how ChatGPT will change the world. I also found many, many songs of Billiam's, none of them uploaded by his channel.

im so glad you made this. i saw that i was subscribed to a tesla live stream the other day and just unsubbed thinking it was a glitch or something. i would have been sad missing out on billiams content.

Oh yeah the same happened with Nathaniel Bandy! After bugging UA-cam he eventually got his channel AND his videos back. Spread the word, folks.

I had that show up in my subscribers videos and just unfollowed, not realizing it was a youtuber i follow that got hacked. Its scary that someone can take over an entire channel like that. Hope he gets it back

For everyone concerned about the channel's termination, it's highly likely UA-cam and Billiam are in the midst of the process of recovering it. The termination is to keep the hackers from continuing to cause more damage using his account and large follower base while he gets it back. This does mean that unfortunately, they still do have the account, or at least have changed the ease of access for him to get in (so verification methods, passwords, so on), the next step is Billiam recovering his Gmail and therefore his UA-cam, in which UA-cam will in turn remove the termination once he confirms this. You can see how this whole scam works on the UA-camr Leona's Workshop's channel, though I'm sure others have talked about it.
Still it's very alarming news and I dread to think of how much damage the hackers could've caused to several other UA-camrs.
@@funnyclown2514Oh I'm not denying the seriousness of the situation at all, it's very troubling as a whole and the stress of it must be unimaginable. I just see people under the assumption UA-cam permanently terminated his channel out of an incorrect misunderstanding of the situation and while I don't want to give UA-cam any credit that's not deserved (this shouldn't be such a massive problem to begin with, for one), it's best if everyone not panic since the most likely case happening right now is just the waiting period to see if Billiam can regain access into his account. That itself is more dreadful to me as his whole Gmail was compromised and it might be difficult for him to get back in and if any other accounts were connected to that email, like social media, it's likely they've been compromised, too. It's an incredibly stressful and sad situation all around and all we can do is report and hope for the best and raising awareness of the scam, and how it can severely impact UA-camrs, and their careers and livelihood, especially with how difficult this scam is to manage for smaller channels.

Don't all of these hacked accounts always lead to like the same couple scams? You'd think UA-cam could make a connection already and handle this situation. The number of times this has happened is beyond insane at this point
