As someone who’s passed by this train for years, seeing someone get to experience it for the first time who’s always wanted to see it is amazing. I’m surprised it’s still there honestly, since it’s most likely there from when they had back to the future the ride where the Simpsons is now.
i'm glad Quinton uploaded this. it really allows for more people appreciate the care and detail that goes into props and set pieces. so much thought went into the making of this prop. i especially loved learning about that little date-setting mechanism, that's so cool!
Its strange to me something this cool is just sitting outside being succumb to the elements for decades. Theyve kept it up pretty well though seems like. I just hope theyre doing proper maintenance making sure that it doesnt get leaks or rust
To my knowledge, ever since the incident where Spielberg got reallllllly mad that they let the Orca 1 rot out and cut it for timber Universal as a whole has been a lot better about keeping these sort of props restored and properly preparing them for certain elements It did use to be a lot more worse for wear a few years back though, but it was still regularly repaired and kept up. Apparently they had at one point planned to gut the Time Train for use as the front locomotive on Hogwarts Express, but Head Terf In Charge was really against this idea, so they fabricated a new locomotive and she apparently personally funded a large-scale restoration of the Time Train. Disney is actually much worse about these things in this regard.
@@gabbyhaynes5394sounds like the Head TERF and I agree on exactly one thing at least- this train would’ve been all wrong for it and ruined the train. And also you’re building that huge crazy land, just get a special train for it, cmon
I love the Doc Brown / Christoper Lloyd cameo in the queue videos for The Simpson Ride. Helps ease the pain of the transition from the Institute of Future Technology.
I managed to go shortly before BTTF: The Ride was decommissioned. Even though the film was scratched with age it held up incredibly well. Simpsons Land is actually a fitting place for it considering the cameo in the ride queue and Dan Castellaneta voicing Doc Brown in the animated series. The Simpsons are akin Lego or Monopoly at this point and the rest of the world exists through iterations of them, anyway. Like walking into a video store in Last Action Hero and seeing Sylvester Stallone as the Terminator
They say never meet your heroes but dang hearing Quinton light up in the presence of greatness makes me want to track down a couple props that really inspire me.
the moment you panned to the front of the train to reveal a hidden mickey was so awesome, i wonder how many other hidden mickeys are at disney land universal
BTTF is one of my most specialest interests and I still can’t get over how I went back in 2011 and either it wasn’t there or I never noticed it. I beat myself up over it ALL THE TIME This is my new favorite video
It's so weird that this was just plopped right down next to the Simpsons. The crazy thing is I missed this! I walked right by it when I was there a few years ago as I was heading to Wizardry World. Had I known I would have fangirled just like Quinton.
as merch goes, i definitely remember having a toy of this train when i was a kid. it came from a mcdonald's happy meal and was probably more related to the cartoon than the movie since i remember it being blue instead of black (i just looked up pictures and it has cartoon einstein poking his head out the window, so that's a definite). anyway, always loved this thing.
Thank you for documenting this! Good to know that they bothered with promoting the cartoon show with the train in its time. Makes sense, because the train is at the center of the show. I loved the cartoon show as a kid. One of the few movie animated series that actually did make sense to continue the story-- they have a time machine train, so of course they're gonna use it. IDK if the time train had a toy. There is a McDonalds toy of the train, but it doesn't look much like it.
I've walked past that train 100s of times and never really stopped to look at it because back to the future isn't really interesting to me, I've seen the first movie once. I honestly didn't even notice that it's not just the front of a normal train. When I'm there in September for horror nights I'll have to stop to check it out more closely!
Wholesome content!🙂 It is nice to hear you so excited! Here's to hoping you have many more experiences like this, thank you for sharing your joy with us!❤
LOL Quentin is so polite. We have to move so we can't be in their pictures, obviously. I believe I have climbed on that thing three times, half a dozen times and I never even knew what it was. I never once thought about people taking pictures. Was I a shity kid?
Interesting that the left side of it is much less detailed, no doubt because the train was only going to be filmed from the right side, except when it flies away at the end, but it's a miniature in that scene.
Every time I'm at USF I stop and appreciate that the train is even still there! So nice to see it get some love. Also, there gonna be a 2023 Garfield retrospective?
Hey! I'm like 99% sure I saw you in MCO airport the other day? Didn't wanna say hi or be creepy but it's really funny seeing you and then checking your other channel and seeing a video about you being near Orlando lmao, wish i visited universal while I was there! maybe I could've seen the time train myself?
It honestly feels so nice to just see Quinton geek out over something that makes him happy
Right? I miss these simple videos where Quinton and crew just geek out and have fun. I’m so glad he has this second channel for fun stuff like this!

it almost feels like I'm actually staring at a train for 10 minutes!

I like to think that this was actually the video you got an error on for it being too long and that you actually had like 20 hours of footage
The real Quinton reviews controversy was him refusing to leave the park at closing hours because he couldn't stop filming the train
Its strange to me something this cool is just sitting outside being succumb to the elements for decades. Theyve kept it up pretty well though seems like. I just hope theyre doing proper maintenance making sure that it doesnt get leaks or rust
Need to make sure it stays in time traveling condition.

Yeah, I thought they would at least put a roof over it or something.
the plaque thing on the side is quite damn shiny so i figure someone maintains it

Can't wait for History Channel to give him a show about how excited he is about trains
But only if it's alien or nazi trains

forgetting you brought a whole ass HD camcorder, and using your phone is such a mood lol. object permeneance? never met the guy.
the moment you panned to the front of the train to reveal a hidden mickey was so awesome, i wonder how many other hidden mickeys are at disney land universal
I was overjoyed when I saw this myself for the first time irl, had I a camera at the time, I would have obsessively filmed it as well
Crazy how much work they put into something that was only on film for a single scene.

This is my new favorite video
So glad they kept this piece of film history.
Such a beautiful train!! Looks well kept!! Hope I can see it someday!!! Shame they didn't do much with it. So much missed potential!
As a big time train enthusiast, the Jules Verne Time Train is one of my favorite movie trains lmao. One question tho, where is the tender?
i cant believe there's still new things for me to learn about back to the future.

this really captured the amusement park ambiance and everything
my dream is that someday a person will love me as much as quinton loves the back to the future time train

This is the most relatable you’ve ever been
I'm so glad you got to see this and see all the details!
It’s cool it’s still around, but just feels incomplete without the tender
Wow that train and DeLorean look really cool!

Such a great set of movies.

oh holy shit you recorded this on my birthday, that's so fun!
the autism swag in this video is immense. I hope you had a great time Quinton :]
The props massive. Like it seems bigger than most real steam locomotives are
I can't believe that today's the day Marty Mcfly went to the future!
Loving the return of Quinton, hopefully we get that Sam and cat video soon!
Oh I just noticed at 2:34 you can see the train used to have the second piece, the second car, whatever you call it. A shame they removed it :'(
It is now apparent that this was for the Beverly hillbillies video
Such a cool prop
😂😂😂 I love the fact that you forgot about the hd camcorder because I would have forgotten as well
Did they get rid of the tender? I remember it having both the engine and the tender in the movie.
"That boo boo from my choo choo is just the beginning" - Doc Brown, probably
I had no idea they had the train!!
Going all out on a Time Tripping Ride
LOL Quentin is so polite. We have to move so we can't be in their pictures, obviously. I believe I have climbed on that thing three times, half a dozen times and I never even knew what it was. I never once thought about people taking pictures. Was I a shity kid?
love seeing people indulge their hyperfixations. reminds me that i need to find a thousand umbrellas

LITERALLY. I ALMOST WENT TO UNIVERSAL BUT THEY RARELY HAVE THE TOWN SQUARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
More videos like this, please!
Every time I'm at USF I stop and appreciate that the train is even still there! So nice to see it get some love.
Also, there gonna be a 2023 Garfield retrospective?
I’m about to go see all three movies in a rented theater for my b day tomorrow!
You did a great job recording the first 30 seconds of this video like a 'Well There's Your Problem' episode

That was probably me, yes lol
@@QuintonRe2si could tell instantly from the hair glasses and unmistakable goofy nickelodeon shirt lmao, i hope you had a great time in orlando!
I wish there was a way to learn more about this train
Why does the Lonely Man music from the Incredible Hulk show start playing in the middle? 😆
I live in Central Florida, I've been to Universal at least 100 times and I never noticed the little steam punk time circuits inside the train!
I hope you enjoyed ET!
Woohoo! Trains! Fuck yeah!
I love your content Quinton ❤❤❤❤
This is very cool.
That's awesome! BttF 3 is my favorite part, so this is neat
This that earnest shit I LIKE
Quinton Reviews films obsessively films the Back to the Future Time Train
Did you know that the Back to the Future musical just opened on broadway?
Quinton goes full Jenny Nicholson for ten minutes.
Sweet
"i like trains" *woosh*
Virgin selfies with the Delorian vs Chad film documentation of the BttF Part 3 Time Train
I guess the two of them pretty much invented steam punk in their universe?
WAIT THEY ACTUALLY HAVE YHE TRAIN
Is the next video going to be about Henry danger?
1 second shorter and this wouldve been 10:04 long i dont think thats an accident
What's so special about 1004?
UA-cam actually adds 1 second to the total
@@DeeperIntoTheUnknown that’s when the clock tower was struck by lightning
see you next month
Did they destroy the tender?
based
today :0
CLICKETY CLACK DOWN THE TRACK IT'S LOTS AND LOTS OF TRAINS!!!
