I've only seen these Cleveland irons reviewed on one other channel, and the guy is a PGA instructor. I really like and value your reviews and opinions because you guys are golfers just like the rest of us non pros. Keep up the great work. I would also like to say that I have been to their location when I was in Denver and met Trevor and Tate, and they are genuinely really nice guys.
I’ve been using the Cleveland Launcher UHX for a few years now and love them. About to move up to Maltby TS1 IM but am really appreciative how the Cleveland’s have helped my game.
Would be great for someone else to review some Maltby gear. It's nearly an impossible occurrence but the more we talk and request, maybe the better the chances will get 😁
These reviews are great. One of my favorite channels on UA-cam. Currently living on east coast but I’ll stop by the store next time I’m in Denver area!
A company that takes the best ideas of 2 brands and incorporates them into a single great product should be applauded, especially when they do it at an affordable price. Nice Job!!
They are 100% right on the lack of "clickiness" feel. I've been hitting the ping 730s and they are nice but absolutely night and day different in feel. Clevelands are nice.
I plan to get out on the local course after quite a break, and my Cobra cavity back clubs I do not think will cut it. My 7 iron is about 40 degrees, compared with 29 degrees on these Clevelands, so I am looking at between 2-3 clubs difference in distance, and then there is the advanced technology as well over my clubs that I bought back in 1976. They were good enough to get me down to a 3 handicap back when.
I used to play all the time but now, at 58, I MIGHT play twice a week. I quit keeping a GHIN a couple years ago and quit playing from 2018-22. I'm playing the best golf I've ever played at best scratch from the ones up from the tips. I'm playing the Callaway X-Forged 2013 model and still hit the great but am starting to notice of about a 5 yard loss is distance due to my age, I believe. They are phenomenal irons and as forged I don't know what better irons are out there or of I should just bend them 1° stronger. I'm in the Springs and would love to get a fitting. I have a fairly slow swing speed.
I asked golf shops around my area (Portland, OR, Vancouver, WA), none of them carry this line. I'm a senior. I bought two of the Zipcore wedges and love them, especially for here in the Pacific NW and our wet weather golf. I'm going to order a 7 iron with 45 gram shaft and see if I like it. If so, I'll order more for my senior game.
Back in the early 2000 I played a tour action 6 from Cleveland, got a Callaway set stop playing for 10 and now I’m back with these and it just wowed me it help me break 90
As a 65 year old golfer I would like to see a review of the Cleveland Halos. At this point in my life I don’t really care about what a club looks like as long as it helps me find more fairways.
Great review, good looking clubs with great tech, and at a very reasonable price will be checking these out. I’m a senior handicap varies 15/18 so should suit me. Tried the T350 and Ping I530 my two favourites at the moment but in the UK costing nearly £200 per club. Currently play Stealth irons, but would like weaker lofts on my 5&6 irons.
Great video. I'm in between buying either these or zx4 irons for my dad. I'll have to do some more research and have him try and hit them to find the best shaft for him.
Just got X5 from Srixon. Most forgiving iron I’ve played. Also got the CLeveland cbx wedges too. Most forgiving wedge. If you are looking to buy a new set, check them out.
Great video as always. Cleveland should indeed get more love. They deserve it. I’ve tried fifteen different putters over the last 7 years. Every brand. I currently have a Huntington beach cleveland blade putter from two years ago. Hands down the best results i have ever had with a putter. Have you guys tried the cleveland halo xl hy wood? I am considering getting one.
hey guys i have a question about something which iron is the better iron for forgiveness and distance and feel you think PXG BLACK OPS or CLEVELAND XL ZIPCORES can actually get them at the same price thx cheers from Canada
Went to Cleveland’s site and was bummed out to see that they didn’t offer these particular clubs with a stiff-steel shaft…ISO game improvement irons but stiff flex steel is a MUST HAVE
@@embersgolfI have the Areojet and love them ,they are an hollow body with an soft polymer inside an power bridge and the face is forged, and they can be had now for$799.00
A 4- Hybrid is a great option being so it can get the ball up in the air and will be easier to hit out of the rough than a 4-iron. 7 wood is a good option too, just may not be as easy to keep your distance dialed in with that. But each has there own preference. Thanks for watching
Which are more forgiving? What feel and sound better? The zipcore xl or gen 6 xp? I am trying to decide which one to get between these two. I am in my 20’s with a 17 handicap.
The Cleveland are more forgiving in our opinion. The PXG are better looking and feel softer due to the filling they have. But for performance & forgiveness simultaneously I think the Cleveland edge the PXG. If you are trying to get a club to get your handicap down closer to single digits through lessons and a lot of practice the PXG is a great option. But if you are a weekend warrior trying to just enjoy golf, I think the Cleveland. Thanks for watching tanner 👍
As a first time golfer needing beginner clubs, I was thinking Mizuno Hot Metals or titleist T350’s for Irons. Would you recommend the Cleveland Zipcore XL’s over these? I need the most forgiving irons I can get.
Yeah I would hit them for sure! They offer so many things for a pretty solid price. I definitely would look into them and hit them if you can 🙌🏼 Thanks for watching Mike, let us know if we can help in any way 👍
@@embersgolf I appreciate y’all! Going to get fitted for my first set and therefore want to invest in something by that will last a few years. Guess the best way to find out what is most forgiving is to go out and hit ‘em
OK, so I've been looking at purchasing new Clubs and can't decide which ones I should get between the Cleveland Zipcore XL and the Cobra Darkspeed. Any suggestions?
That is a great question! Both have a nice soft feel! The cobra will be slightly more forgiving I think but the cleveland has more upside with tech and feel. Cant go wrong with either but id give the edge to cleveland. Thanks for watching 👍
I’m a 62 year old 9 handicap and still bomb my driver, been playing Ping G430’s the past year recovering from serious foot surgery. It’s been challenging getting back to playing consistently with my irons. Hit the Halos in my local shop and loved em. With the 5.5 R Cyphus graphite shaft shot a 76 with two double bogeys with very average putting and a 78 the next round. They are unique for sure but have a lot of quality engineering in their design. Very surprised and having a blast playing golf again. It would be cool to see y’all give em a test. Cleveland did a great job with this iron. hi I think people would try these new cleveland irons out if they where more available to get fit for and I live in uk and srixon and cleveland irons are hard to get fit for and the wedges are more popular
I'm not sure Srixon knows what they want to do with Cleveland. I seem to remember that after Cleveland was acquired by Srixon, Srixon announced that they were going to drop everything from the Cleveland line except the wedges. It's a real shame.
I am a 4 handicap in my early fifties. I play 4 hybrids and game easier (improvement) irons. My handicap keeps getting lower because my clubs are easier to hit and I can play the same shot shape.
We require the Staff on our showroom/ sales floor to have our logo on there clothing so customers know and recognize employees when shopping. Thanks for watching 👍
Very good! Similar to the Mainframe tech they use in there srixon irons and good forgiveness. These Cleveland irons are one of our best sellers of the season so far in the store 👌
I wonder if you can add extensions to the shafts with that weight built in? I’m 6’7” and play with irons 2” longer these irons would be perfect for me if you could customize the length of the shafts.
i would never buy irons just hitting into a screen without seeing the actual height of the shots, the numbers don't mean a lot to me. i got pxg 0211 a couple years ago and they go wicked low, like my 5 iron goes the distance of 170 yds but the ball only goes 20 ft. off the ground but they feel nice.
I swing Taylormade R11,s . First set i bought. I'm not sure any club will make drastic changes to scores if you have a poor swing. Just saying..trust me.😂 Better to spend money on lessons than new clubs. With that said good review.
I have a 56, 50, and 44 Cleveland wedges and love them. I don’t want a 4 iron so my question is do I just need 5 thru 9 with no PW since I have the 44 degree or do I need the PW as well? Can you price out both for me? Right hand, standard length and grip, Regular steel shafts and Regular graphite shafts. Thanks!
I checked out your shop, and like any typical golf store, customer service was non-existant... It's the industry in general. So I'll be buying direct to consumer. Thanks for making the decision easy for me. :)
Sorry we missed you Juan, I wish we could’ve had the chance to talk. We apologize we didn’t get a chance to talk. Thanks for watching and for giving the store a chance 👍
Ping irons have the hydro pearl coating. Also I hope you are comparing the prices based on 5-P from the other brands. If not you should compare 5-G. 7 club iron sets are pretty standard especially in the game improvement category. Especially with the pitching wedge being 43 degrees... you are going to want the set gap wedge with these clubs every time.

Thanks!
Yeah of course! Shoot us an email and we can get you a quote sent over 🙌🏼 Golf@Embersliving.com
How do you improve if you dampen your feedback. When you hit a shite shot but it feels good is confusing. Beginners should use blades.
That is one option. Thanks for sharing 👍
nice vid. good luck.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
How is 800 budget when some of the big name brands are only like 300-400 more for some of there similar better irons
Where the course vlogs at?
We need to be doing more. What do you want to see Nic!
Am I missing something - when I visited your website I couldn’t find iron sets? I see drivers / putters and bags and shoes but nothing about irons?
I’d watch a ZX4 vs XL comparison
That is a great recommendation! We’ll make it happen 🙌
I'd love to see that comparison as well as with the 923 HL in the mix as well! Loving your channel!
As soon as you said you normally hit your wedge 150 yards...I stopped watching.....no way this is relatable to me !
Sorry, Thanks for watching
Isn’t the simulator set up at altitude? Also, the lofts are strong. My hogan irons have a pitching wedge at 48 degrees.
I can hit my lob wedge 180 yards - when I’m 30 yards from the green!
Just saw biodegradable Golf Balls on Amazon. We need a review of these.
Thats a good idea, we should get some ordered.
the old guys this club is made for are gonna shit themselves when they hit their 7 irons 150
Lol, yeah. It'll be a game changer for some of these guys! Thanks for watching Beyonce 🙌🏼
You have these in stock for $749, I have only seen them for $899
Yeah we do. What set up are you looking for?
Ping irons have the hydro pearl coating. Also I hope you are comparing the prices based on 5-P from the other brands. If not you should compare 5-G. 7 club iron sets are pretty standard especially in the game improvement category. Especially with the pitching wedge being 43 degrees... you are going to want the set gap wedge with these clubs every time.
Stay tuned, we are going to do a test between all the brands that have the water coating to promote more spin 🙌🏼
@@embersgolf A cool idea for you guys to do that I haven't seen on youtube would be to build the "Best in Class 2024 Low-Mid-High HC Full sets" kinda like how MGS has all the categories just compiling it into a bag would be a cool video.
@@Traplordsosa I don’t understand your abbreviations ha. What do you mean
@@embersgolf HC was meant to be Handicap and MGS is "My Golf Spy" Basically making "Embers golfs best 2024 High handicapper full set" kind of a deal. Hope the thought inspires a cool video maybe :D
Please do a golf shoe video, I need to know which one makes me look taller and better looking and performance might be helpful too
Oh the shoe review is coming!
I use the cleveland launcher easiest club ive ever tried.
It is fantastic! Thanks for sharing 👍
It’s probably just a Teflon coating.
🤷🏽♂️ Thanks for sharing 👍
No game improvement clubs are gonna help that swing blue bro
Thanks for watching
Why only high handicappers? To much golf snobbery when it comes to game improvement irons.
Most of the time your right! I think all golfers would benefit from some of this technology.
I was done with these (and Srixon) once you mentioned Nike
Thanks for watching
