Price gouging. As long as people will pay it. They won't lower the price. If anything watch the prices go up. Any set of irons should be $500-700 tops. No more. It's not costing them that kinda money to put a set of irons together I would guess the entire set ....heads shafts and grips they probably got $150 -200 invested. Everything is mass produced. And the shafts and grips are bought in bulk
When I started golfing, the most expensive driver was like $350… nowadays the most expensive stock drivers are like $600 to $700. In 15 years prices doubling is absolutely insane
Golf companies spend millions on R&D and advertising to stay competitive. The money u spend on legit name brand clubs is actually justified. Come see me with knock off crap irons and the chances are I will get your numbers better with the real stuff. Don't get me wrong, get clubs u can afford to get in to golf but when u are ready, see a master fitter like me to get u dialed. That being said, we will see what happens in 2025 when trump destroys our country 🤷♂️ new drivers are likely going to be $750.
Great video gents, People have to realize that Taylormade, Callaway irons and others all cost 200.00. Cost the company 200.00. Then they add pro sponsorship money, R&D money, big building and big semi truck money, big bill money to those 200.00 irons and there ya go…..1500-1800.00 for a set of irons that cost them 200.00. But now you got them direct from a manufacturer and they cost 200.00 and they still made money on them! Makes you think about the mark ups in golf!!! Crazy stupid. Keep up the grind gents. Your doing awesome.
Please do a long term test on these, would love to see how they hold up over time because I've seen these time and time again on temu and they catch my eye every time
If it helps, I purchased the same irons but from Aliexpress over 3 months ago... playing my best golf with them, feel great, look great (I got the black heads). I'm a single figure handicap as well, just can't justify paying the full price whilst refurbing my house (hence me risking it with the Aliexpress/Temu irons).
That's the thing. China doesn't give a damn about copyright laws. These clubs look exactly like the 2021 p790s. Wouldn't doubt these are TM molds. Could be the best deal on earth for clubs lol
I have these exact same clubs, but mine are named Yamahero. I have the stiff shafts. The grips are too small for me and they're 1/2" too long so I'm taking them to my local GolfDom to get them nipped 1/2" and new midsized grips put on. However, the few times I've hit them, they are legit good. I'm looking forward to playing them after the regrip and shortening. Great video.
I'd be curious to see how they hold up over time. If I were really going to suggest a budget set of irons for a beginner, it's 100% an old set of Ping Zings or Ping Eyes. I still game my Zings when I'm feeling nostalgic (and my Eyes on rare occasions), and I don't feel like I give up much, if anything, over my newer Ping i525s.
Love the idea of these. You should compare them to one of the DTC brands that are not as quality as big brands but still cost more than those temu clubs
I almost bought those exact clubs this weekend, they were 320 but couldn’t pull the trigger because I wasn’t sure about quality. They look great though!
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one kislux Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym
I see you guys are Saginaw, MI guys, have you or do you ever plan on playing the Sawmill golf club course. I am a former Saginaw Mi native now a Floridian. would love to see the course get some exposure
There is a lot of information out there on Temu and the concerns about data safety, product quality and questionable labor practices. I’m sure not all of it is true but it’s something people should be aware of. This video does a great job of highlighting that new golf equipment is very expensive. What I would have liked them to bring up is that there are great alternatives in the used market. Buying used clubs from a reputable local store allows you to try the clubs and see if they are right for your swing. Some places will also warranty and modify purchased clubs at no additional cost. 2ndswing is a great example of a company that stands by their clubs and has some great deals in the used market. As golf influencers JnA should inform their audience of the risks or potential draw backs to buying Temu clubs. Going a step further to mention the benefits of finding used clubs locally should have been the conclusion. I feel like they were probably paid by Temu to do this because Temu has been spending insane amounts of money this year on social media marketing.
So to help everybody out, I bought a set of these Taylormade P790 all black and let me tell you they are the exact replica and they play exactly the same as the authentic ones so if you ever are on the fence about buying a set of thesewhat are you waiting for?
The key point is that perhaps the temu club is good enough for beginners or mid handicappers.. for low handicapper they are more sensitive so not the best. For most of us especially beginners at 200$ it's a good starter buy
I spent $260 on a set of Ultimate clubs on Amazon this summer. I have no complaints so far. Keep in mind I used to play old a** MacGregor clubs probably from the 80s. I definitely hit at least 20 yards further and they've held up just fine.
But what material are they made from? Same alloy of forged stainless steel or a zinc alloy casting? How will the faces hold up after a few thousand hits? Are there choices of shaft stiffness or length?....a club has to fit you well if you're to play well with it. How about the grips? Sure, you can always change all the grips, but it does add considerable expense to change a full set with a really nice quality grip. Then there's the whole psychological part of the game to consider....do the Temus inspire the same confidence a Taylor Made, Ping, or Callaway club does? And don't try to tell me that the psychological part of the game doesn't matter....any real golfer knows better. It was enjoyable watching you guys play, and I expect that orders for Temu knock-offs just spiked, but I remain skeptical.
How do you do golf content but havent swung a club in 3 weeks? its truly bizzarre to me, not hating just wondering whats going on in the background and don't golf creators want to practice and play? Also awesome video, I don't think clubs have evolved in many years just the marketing....
Y’all should get a driver, 3 wood, wedges and a putter from temu and have a match with all temu vs expensive clubs.
Should be Temu vs Kirkland Signature lol
just shows how badly priced the big name brands are now adays. clubs should not be 1400 dollars
I agree. My irons and woods cost 150$ from wal mart and my driver was around 300 for a cobra amp. I shoot 68-72 every round on average.
Yea me too.

Crazy how legit they look for $200. Would love to see a side by side comparison of numbers with the real and Temu
I seen some videos comparing them. They mentioned upgrading the shafts to get more consistency. But other than that it is hard to feel a difference
Pretty sure Rick shiels did that on his channel
AskGolfNut did a side-by-side comp. @@El_Oso77373

I think the real TaylorMade clubs are made in the same factory as the Temu clubs, haha.
