@@linggarprasetyo4201 many emulators, and emulator frontends (like retroarch), have options to use overlays to fill in the black bars.
@@edale2 turning on widescreen hack option the graphics are not stretched or distorted. is real 16:9 and 3D games adapts perfectly. so I have to disagree with eta. simply he dont know that.
The irony is the developer said he isn't going to optimize speed on android until later. Meaning 4k isn't crazy.
I hope this is so, I'm trying it on the T95 Max and even Crash Bandicoot is chugging at 2x resolution.
@@MrPablo616 don't know if you have pgxp enabled, but I wouldn't for lower end devices.
@@Zoomy222 disabled by default I think, I'll try a couple more games over Xmas and see if any run smoothly

Living outside U. S. is incredible for downloading things with no legal issues at all, that includes game rooms and bios. This emulator is really awesome, I hope that my kirin 659 can give me that sweet 720p

This new EMU has very good potential! Only seems to need a little refinement(needs a bilinear filter and GameShark code support) and it'll be rockin!

Could you do an updated version of best android emulators? I know retroarch plays most but it might not be best for everything and visually less impressive
Retroarch cores on Android for PS1 are awful, so setting up Duckstation separately just like PPSSPP is the only way to go!!

The problem that you are having with it finding your games is your cue files, open up your cue files and double check and make sure the path is correct. I think it's even case sensitive. I ran into this problem a while back.

I would love to see a video about the performance of DuckStation on the GPD XD+ system, I imagine it would be decent performance as PS1 emulation isn't that difficult at least at stock. Also you could use CHD format if PBP is not supported yet I did try that on the PC version of DuckStation and CHD files work fine

I have a Redmi Note 9 (not the S version, the one with the Helio G85 MediaTek). Been testing it for a while and, as of now, it's running like a charm. Switching from OpenGL to Vulkan does not seem the impact performance, and it's running with 2x resolution and no MSAA. Switching to either 3x reso and/or 4xMSAA it's too much and it starts to lag, while 2xMSAA does not lag but also somehow makes the screen darker.

ETA Prime, in your opinion, which phone performed better the the Moto G or the Moto G7 Óptimo Max? I know you gave them both good reviews.
Technically speaking Vulkan should run MUCH faster if it's properly applied. OpenGL is the software that was replaced by Vulkan.
THANKS PRIME! I got it running on my moqui i7s. Sound is alittle weird. And if I turn "off" the visible controls. The physical ones done respond. Overall great! running 1080p!
Vulkan works near flawlessly on my Galaxy A20!! For those that are having lagging/audio issues, switch to that and see if it helps any, it did for my phone. (:

Thank you. I didn't realise that I had to install a PlayStation Bios separately. I thought the games was a Bios and it ran from that.
I'm happy that we have ppl like you out there still using the android and helping consoles tasks like this omg I'm jus now installing the duck and the bios and I can't get it to start the game ,,, it is running / found my files and some how it's not wanting to start Oddworld Abe's Exoddus ...it's also giving me the PSX original startup screen too if that's means anything to you guys. ... please let me know ... 😂 Ahhh. Grrrr

Rather than writing another Emu, I would like to see devs write new programs that can play old roms but incorporate the advantages of the increased RAM and Proc. speed of the host machine to reduce the amount of pop up and screen tearing
DuckStation supports overclocking the emulated CPU, which can improve the frame rates in some games. Increasing the RAM wouldn't help, as the game would have to be patched to utilize the additional RAM.

On the GT2 side-by-side, the grassy side of the track is bent, which suggests you were not using PGXP.
Is that the case? If so, why: too big of a performance penalty?
Honestly Exspe does look that good as well but it doesn't run anywhere as smooth as that very impressed with this new emulator

Has anyone found problems using this with FF7 showing strange graphic things? (specifically, green lines around objects, green dots and red dots. The dots are usually clustered in areas where the characters can move.)

I basically started learning C++ to port pcx2 emulator to ARM cpu architecture, but sorry i don't think i can complete that project till this Christmas.

I have 3 s20 Fe's. I font know what is the best controller. Personally I would like a dual plug in with Bluetooth, but also support an arcade 6 button configuration for xmen vs Street fighter and such. Can you advise me?
Should there be any OpenGL or Vulkan plugin that I have to use? Dusckstation is not working too well on my system, 3GB ram with Snapdragon 625. I tried all possible options. I would get 30 fps only if I use 1x resolution and turn off all enhancements. Otherwise, frame rate drops significantly, almost unplayable. I'm using epsxe and it's working perfectly, 60fps on full resolution, 1080p, which looks awesome on my fullhd 8 inch tablet.. But that's with OpenGL plugin.
When I scan for games like you did it brought my psp games to the page and not my ps1 game. I've also tried to select it myself and the games says load failed. Tried crash bandicoot and tekken 3. Any suggestions?
I'm a bit annoyed at Duckstation; every time I try to Allow Access to my game folder (Android, Pixel XL), it lets me click 'Allow' but immediately gives me an error ('Failed to get path for the selected directory.') I've already clicked the 'Show Internal Storage,' so I can't figure out what's wrong. Anyone got any ideas?

I've done everything possible on this app for my amazon firestick, created a file on EX explorer, but no files showed up. When I try to import the files, a separate small screen pops up to get the files, but there's no way of clocking on the screen. Any ideas?

Hi sir do you have any info in which ASUS phone brand supports Bilinear setting in the duck station cause the ASUS Max Pro 1 does not so some games does run slow even though the graphics is great.

How can i sey touchscreen buttons for NeGcon controller? You can set your controller as if NeGcon but you cant set A button, B button, I button or II button. How can i fix this?

Why you like use anti aliasing on psx emu? the different super minor with much more performance needed.
I'm a fan of this emulator, but EPSXE is still my choice because of the 2 network players.
If i enable any of the enhancements the games slow down and sound weird. It runs like a charm on my celeron laptop though

While epsxe accepts different disc formats. Duckstation is much better with usability and combatibility. It runs most games very well without changing the settings all the time which is the most annoying part of emulators.

The problem is resolution, when I make it 2x or full hd the frame rate just goes down
My Android gets "Failed to initialize OpenGL, falling back to software emulation". Enhancements don't seem to work. Otherwise runs fine.

I imported the bios but loading games I just get black screen... Is there a reason for this? My games are already in the bin and cue format and they worked fine on RetroArch.
I'm on a samsung galaxy a51. What settings would get me the best upscale and smooth operation? I've been messing with epsxe lately and got everything pretty nice but duckstation is not running so well when I run extra specs.
Same here. I could run epsxe at 60fps on fullhd resolution using OpenGL. With dusckstation, nope.
